Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

How to start a spice grinding and packaging business in Nigeria: grinder, sourcing, drying, packaging, NAFDAC and a labelled margin example.
A spice grinding and packaging business needs a stainless grinder, a dryer, sieves, a sealer and clean storage, plus NAFDAC registration for branded packs sold in shops. Margins depend on dried yield: in our labelled example a 100g pack cost about ₦2,308 to make and sold for ₦3,500 wholesale.
A spice grinding and packaging business buys raw spices, cleans, dries and mills them, then sells them in sealed, labelled packs. Popular lines in Nigeria include ground ginger, garlic powder, dried pepper, crayfish powder, curry and thyme blends, and suya spice (yaji). Margins come from turning cheap bulk produce into consistent, clean, well-presented packs that households, food vendors and shops trust.
You can start by paying a local mill to grind for you, but that risks contamination with other customers' products and gives you less control over fineness. Most serious producers buy their own:
Get quotes from at least two fabricators or importers; ask for food-grade stainless contact parts and a demonstration with your own spice.
Buy from wholesale markets or straight from farmers in the producing areas when you have the volume. Inspect for mould, insects, stones and moisture, and weigh what you receive. Fresh produce loses most of its weight when dried, so price your raw material on the dried yield, not the fresh weight. Test this yourself with a small batch before committing to a big purchase.
The NBS national average for fresh ginger was ₦5,581.82 a kilo in April 2026, up from ₦4,970.66 a year earlier, as reported by ThisDay. Prices differ widely by state and season, so check the market each time you buy.
This is an example batch of ground ginger and a pepper blend, with assumed prices except where noted. It assumes 12kg of fresh ginger dries to about 2kg (6:1); measure your own ratio.
| Item | Assumption (example) | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Fresh ginger | 12kg at ₦5,600 (rounded NBS average) | ₦67,200 |
| Dried pepper and other spices for blend | ₦9,000 | |
| Washing, slicing and drying (labour, dryer use) | ₦6,000 | |
| Milling and sieving | ₦2,500 | |
| Pouches, 100g | 40 at ₦150 | ₦6,000 |
| Labels | 40 at ₦40 | ₦1,600 |
| Batch cost | ₦92,300 |
The batch makes 40 packs of 100g (about 2kg of ginger plus about 2kg of other spices), so each pack costs ₦2,308. At an example wholesale price of ₦3,500 to shops, the batch earns ₦140,000 and leaves ₦47,700, a margin of about 34% before rent, power and your time. If retailers ask for 30 days' credit, you fund the next batch yourself, so watch cash closely.
Ground spices spoil mainly through moisture and contamination. Powder that is not fully dry clumps, grows mould and loses aroma within weeks, and a single complaint from a supermarket buyer can end a listing. Dry until pieces snap rather than bend, cool before grinding, and pack on the same day in pouches with a good moisture barrier. Store finished packs off the floor in a cool room, never next to detergents or fuel.
Start with buyers who reorder often: suya spots, restaurants, caterers and food vendors who use large quantities, then neighbourhood shops and market stalls. Supermarkets pay more per pack but usually want NAFDAC registration, barcodes and credit terms. Online sales on WhatsApp and Instagram suit gift packs and blends. Our guide to pricing products helps you set separate wholesale and retail prices.
Packaged, branded spices sold through shops and supermarkets are processed foods that need NAFDAC registration and a NAFDAC number on the label. The application is made on NAFDAC's online portal, NAPAMS, and typically involves CAC and tax documents, labels, samples, a facility inspection and laboratory analysis, as Firmus Advisory described for packaged foods in May 2025.
Our guide to NAFDAC registration for small food businesses walks through the steps, and labelling rules for snacks covers what the label must show.
Shops and distributors paying for stock can pay through bank-transfer checkout free of charge, and a Business Account keeps stock money apart from personal spending.
Equipment is the main cost: a stainless grinder, a dryer, sieves, a sealer and a scale, plus first stock and NAFDAC registration if you sell branded packs. Get quotes, as machine prices vary widely.
Packaged, branded spices sold through shops need NAFDAC registration. Loose spices ground for customers in the market are a different case; ask your NAFDAC state office.
The 2019 tariff listed ₦20,000 registration for micro food businesses and ₦10,000 inspection per line, but it may have been revised. Confirm current fees with NAFDAC.
It depends on dried yield and selling price. In our example, a 100g pack cost about ₦2,308 to make and sold at ₦3,500 wholesale.
