Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Working remotely from Canada for a company in Nigeria? How salary can reach you in naira or US dollars, what each FX choice costs, and the CRA side.
A Nigerian employer can pay you in naira into a Nigerian account, which you then convert and move yourself, or it can buy foreign currency through its bank and wire US dollars to your Canadian account. The first keeps the conversion in your hands; the second puts it in the employer's. Either way, as a Canadian tax resident you report the salary in Canadian dollars, converted at a rate the CRA accepts.
Most remote arrangements between a Canadian-based worker and a Nigerian company end up in one of three shapes. Which one you get usually depends less on you than on the employer's payroll, its bank and how much foreign currency it can source.
| Route | Who converts | What you receive | What to weigh |
|---|---|---|---|
| Naira into your Nigerian account | You, when you choose | Naira in Nigeria | Simplest for the employer; you carry the naira risk and the cost of moving it |
| US dollar wire to your Canadian bank | The employer's bank, then your Canadian bank if you convert to CAD | USD in Canada | Employer needs to buy FX and document the payment; two conversions if you want CAD |
| US dollars into a Nigerian domiciliary account | The employer's bank | USD held in Nigeria | You still have to move it out; the dollars avoid naira swings in the meantime |
| Payroll or employer-of-record provider abroad | The provider | Usually CAD or USD in Canada | The provider's own fee and rate apply; read its schedule |
Ask the employer which of these it can actually do before you agree a salary figure. A contract that says "US$2,000 a month" means little if the company only runs naira payroll and has no plan for buying dollars.
An outgoing foreign currency payment from Nigeria goes through an authorised dealer bank under the CBN's foreign exchange rules. A June 2026 summary of the CBN Foreign Exchange Manual 2026 by Pavestones Legal reports that Form A is not required for outward remittances from self-funded domiciliary accounts, and that direct transfers of up to US$10,000 a day can be made without exhaustive trade documentation. The same summary notes that inbound foreign currency transfers are paid in naira or another currency the CBN decides, which matters if you are ever paid in the other direction.
In practice that means an employer paying you in dollars needs either dollars already in its own domiciliary account or the ability to buy them, plus paperwork its bank accepts: your contract, invoices or payslips, and sometimes evidence of tax deducted. Delays usually come from that paperwork, not from the wire itself.
Your salary is fixed in naira, so its Canadian dollar value moves with the exchange rate. If the naira weakens between pay day and the day you convert, you receive fewer Canadian dollars. You do control the timing, though: you can keep part of the money in naira for family costs at home and convert the rest when you need it in Canada.
A dollar salary protects you from naira swings, but if your rent and groceries are in Canadian dollars you still convert, this time USD to CAD at your Canadian bank or another provider. Each conversion has a cost built into the rate, so look at the rate you are given against a reference rate such as the Bank of Canada's daily rate, which the Bank describes as indicative only.
These numbers are not today's rates. They show why the gap between the rate you get and the reference rate matters as much as any visible fee.
If you are resident in Canada for tax purposes, the CRA's guide for Canadian residents abroad explains that residents report their world income. A salary from a Nigerian company is still employment income on your Canadian return, even though no T4 slip arrives. Whether you are an employee or a contractor changes how it is reported; our piece on employee or contractor status covers that test.
Amounts in foreign currency are converted to Canadian dollars. CRA Income Tax Folio S5-F4-C1 says to use the Bank of Canada rate for the day the amount arises. The Bank of Canada does not publish a naira rate, so the Folio's alternative applies: another rate that is widely available, verifiable, independent and used consistently. Our guide to naira exchange rates for CRA purposes walks through that choice.
If Nigerian tax is deducted from your pay, the CRA's foreign tax credit Folio (S5-F2-C1) explains that the credit is generally limited to the lesser of the foreign tax paid and the Canadian tax on that income, and that voluntary payments do not count. Keep payslips that show deductions. Whether Nigerian PAYE should apply to someone working entirely from Canada is a question for the employer and a tax adviser; this is information, not advice.
A Pryme Personal Account can be opened from Canada and holds naira, US dollars, pounds and euros, each with its own local account details. A naira salary can land in the naira balance and stay there until you decide to Swap it; the app shows the rate first and the fee on its own line before you approve. See how the multicurrency account works and our note on holding naira while living in Canada.
Yes, if it can buy US dollars or another foreign currency through its bank and send a wire. Many smaller firms only run naira payroll, so ask first. Your Canadian bank may ask what the incoming payment is for.
Dollars protect the value from naira swings; naira gives you control over when to convert and is useful if you spend in Nigeria. The cost of each conversion matters as much as the currency itself.
If you are a Canadian tax resident, you report world income, including a Nigerian salary, converted to Canadian dollars. A foreign tax credit may apply to Nigerian tax deducted. Check your position with a tax adviser.
The Bank of Canada does not publish a naira rate, so the CRA allows another widely available, verifiable, independent rate used consistently. Note the source and use it every year.
