Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Selling NGX shares while UK resident? HMRC measures the gain in pounds, not naira. The annual exempt amount, 2026-27 rates and the treaty credit.
If you are UK resident and sell shares listed on the Nigerian Exchange, the gain is liable to UK capital gains tax, worked out in pounds: the cost converted at the rate on the day you bought and the proceeds at the rate on the day you sold. For 2026-27 the first £3,000 of total gains is tax-free, and the rest is taxed at 18% or 24%. Any Nigerian tax on the same gain can be credited, but only up to the UK tax due on it.
Plenty of Nigerians in the UK hold a parcel of bank, telecoms or cement shares bought through a Lagos stockbroker years ago. When the naira price doubles, the instinct is to assume a big taxable gain. Often the sterling picture is very different, because HMRC does not care what happened in naira. It looks at pounds in and pounds out.
UK residents are taxed on gains wherever the asset is, unless they are new arrivals using the four-year foreign income and gains regime, which LITRG notes also covers foreign gains (and costs you the annual exempt amount for that year). If you have left the UK, see the temporary non-residence rules before selling; HMRC helpsheet HS278 explains how some gains made while away are taxed on return.
HMRC's Capital Gains Manual (CG78310, updated 22 October 2026) is clear on method: the cost is the sterling value at the date of acquisition and the proceeds are the sterling value at the date of disposal. You do not work out a naira gain and convert it. HMRC does not prescribe one rate source, but the rates should be reasonable and used consistently; a central bank or market reference rate for the date, noted with your workings, is a sensible record.
| Naira | Example rate | Pounds | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bought 10,000 shares at ₦300 | ₦3,000,000 | £1 = ₦1,000 | £3,000 |
| Sold 10,000 shares at ₦900 | ₦9,000,000 | £1 = ₦2,000 | £4,500 |
| Gain | ₦6,000,000 | £1,500 |
The naira price tripled, but the sterling gain is £1,500, which is inside the £3,000 annual exempt amount if you have no other gains. Had you sold when the example rate was £1 = ₦3,500, proceeds would be about £2,571 and you would have a sterling loss of about £429. Broker commissions and other dealing costs also need converting at their own dates; check GOV.UK's guidance on what costs you can deduct. If you bought the same company's shares in several lots, special matching rules decide which cost applies, so follow HMRC's share guidance before you calculate.
GOV.UK gives these figures for the 2026-27 tax year:
Example: a higher-rate taxpayer with a £13,000 sterling gain and no other disposals pays 24% on £10,000 (£13,000 − £3,000), which is £2,400.
Nigeria taxes gains too. PwC's summary of the Nigeria Tax Act (reviewed 29 May 2026) says an individual's chargeable gains are now added to total income and taxed at the progressive personal income tax rates of 0% to 25%, replacing the old flat 10%. Whether a particular share sale is exempt, and how a non-resident pays, are points to confirm with a Nigerian adviser or your broker; we could not confirm the current exemption conditions from an official page.
The UK-Nigeria double tax convention leaves gains on shares to each country's own law (Article 13) and gives relief by credit (Article 22). On the UK side, foreign tax credit relief is the lower of the foreign tax paid and the UK tax on the same gain, as HMRC's HS263 sets out. A Nigerian tax larger than the UK tax is not refunded by HMRC. See foreign tax credit relief under the UK-Nigeria treaty and, for the treaty's wider scope, the UK-Nigeria double tax treaty explained.
GOV.UK says UK residents can report other gains either on the Self Assessment return for the year or through the real-time Capital Gains Tax service (report by 31 December after the tax year, pay by 31 January). If you need to claim foreign tax credit, Self Assessment is the route to plan on. Keep the broker's contract notes, CSCS statements, the rate evidence for each date and any Nigerian tax receipts.
If dividends were paid while you held the shares, they are a separate income tax question: see NGX dividends and UK tax. To move sale proceeds, the broker pays into your Nigerian account first; see working with a Nigerian stockbroker from the UK.
Naira proceeds can sit in naira in a Pryme account until you choose to convert them with Swap, where the rate is shown first and the fee is on its own line before you approve. That gives you a dated record of the rate you actually received.
If you are UK resident, yes: the gain is liable to UK capital gains tax, after the £3,000 annual exempt amount for 2026-27, at 18% or 24%.
In pounds. HMRC converts the cost at the purchase-date rate and the proceeds at the sale-date rate; you do not convert a naira gain.
Yes. If the naira weakened more than the share price rose, the sterling proceeds can be lower than the sterling cost.
No. HMRC gives credit up to the UK tax on the same gain. Any Nigerian tax above that is not credited.
