Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

How university resumption, December, harvests and fuel prices move rent, food and transport costs in Ado-Ekiti, with NBS price data.
Prices in Ado-Ekiti follow a few predictable rhythms: room rents and student spending rise around university resumption, food and fares rise in December, crop prices fall after harvest and climb in the lean weeks before it, and transport follows petrol. NBS data shows national garri prices fell from ₦1,345.10 to ₦808.96 a kilogram between April 2025 and April 2026.
Ado-Ekiti is a state capital, a university town and a market for farming communities around it. Each of those roles has its own rhythm, and prices for rooms, food and transport follow them. Knowing the rhythm lets you time big purchases, sign leases and plan travel when prices are softer, rather than paying peak prices out of habit. This guide explains the main seasonal forces, gives national price data that shows how far food can move in a year, and ends with a planning checklist. Where we describe a local pattern without a published source, we say it is commonly reported.
Ado-Ekiti hosts Ekiti State University (EKSU), whose website carried a notice on the procedure for paying acceptance and school fees for 2025/2026 undergraduate admissions. When a new session starts, thousands of students look for rooms at once, and landlords near campus are commonly reported to raise asking rents or ask for a full year upfront. Demand for cooked food, mattresses, buckets, gas cylinders and local transport rises at the same time.
Our guides to student money in Ado-Ekiti and rent by area go further.
December brings people home for Christmas and the new year, weddings, burials and community festivals. Fares on intercity routes and demand for foodstuffs, drinks and livestock commonly rise in the weeks before Christmas, and the same is true in reverse for trips out of Ekiti in early January. If you are travelling, booking early and travelling on a weekday usually costs less. If you are hosting, buying non-perishables such as rice, oil and drinks in November spreads the cost. Our guide to saving for December sets out a plan.
Food prices across Nigeria rise and fall with harvests. Prices of a crop tend to be lowest just after harvest, when farmers sell, and highest in the lean weeks before the next one. Yam is the clearest example in Ekiti markets: new yam is commonly reported to be costly when it first arrives and cheaper once the main harvest is in. Cocoa farming is commonly cited as an income source in parts of the state, and when farm households are paid for their crop, spending in nearby markets is commonly reported to pick up.
Year-to-year movements can be large. National Bureau of Statistics figures for April 2026, reported by ThisDay, show:
| Item (NBS national average) | April 2025 | April 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| White garri, 1kg | ₦1,345.10 | ₦808.96 |
| Brown beans, 1kg | ₦2,429.39 | ₦1,338.93 |
| Tomatoes, 1kg | ₦1,283.57 | ₦1,177.92 |
| Palm oil, 1 litre | ₦2,516.36 | ₦2,396.32 |
In the same release, Ekiti had the highest average price in the country for a bottle of palm oil, at ₦2,819.09. As a worked example, a household buying 5kg of garri a month at the April 2025 national average would have paid ₦6,725.50; at the April 2026 average it would pay ₦4,044.80, a saving of ₦2,680.70 a month. Local prices differ from national averages, so use these as a guide to direction, not an exact price.
Transport fares in Ado-Ekiti follow the price of petrol more than the season. The NBS reported an average retail petrol price of ₦1,596.25 a litre in May 2026, up from ₦1,532.93 in April, as reported by Legit.ng. As an example, a driver buying 40 litres a week would have paid ₦2,532.80 more a week at May's average than April's, and that cost tends to pass into fares. Check the NBS's latest price watch for current figures. Our guide to transport costs in Ado-Ekiti covers fares.
The rainy season adds its own pressure. Bad roads slow vehicles, some drivers refuse short trips on flooded streets, and perishable foods such as tomatoes and peppers can spoil faster in transit, which traders price in. A small buffer in your transport and food budget during the heaviest rains avoids being caught short.
Seasonal costs are easier when the money is set aside early. A Flexible Savings Box can hold a December fund or a resumption fund separately from day-to-day spending, with the rate shown in the app, and a Personal Assistant can remind you when it is time to buy or pay, with nothing moving until you approve.
Around university resumption, when many students look for rooms at once, landlords near campus are commonly reported to raise asking rents. Signing or renewing at other times usually gives you more room to negotiate.
Demand rises with travel, festivals and celebrations, while supply does not change much in a few weeks. Buying non-perishables earlier spreads the cost.
Some are. NBS figures for April 2026 show garri and beans well below April 2025 national averages, while palm oil was slightly lower. Check the latest NBS release for current figures.
Yam is commonly reported to be cheapest once the main harvest is in and dearest in the lean weeks before it. Ask traders in your local market how prices are moving.
