Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What a Nigerian payslip should show, the annual return of emoluments due by 31 January, and the year-end tax records your remote staff will need.
A Nigerian payslip should show gross pay broken into basic, housing, transport and other allowances, then each deduction: PAYE, 8% employee pension, NHF where the employee contributes, and any other deduction, with net pay, the period and the employer's and employee's tax and pension IDs. At year end, the employer files a return of all emoluments with the state IRS by 31 January and gives each employee a record of pay and tax deducted, which they use for tax clearance, visas and loans.
Remote teams in Nigeria use their payslips more than most US staff do: for rent, car loans, visa applications and bank accounts. If your US company runs Nigerian payroll through a subsidiary or an employer of record, the payslip and the year-end tax record are what your staff will judge you on. Information only, not tax advice.
The Labour Act requires an employer to give a worker a written statement of terms within three months of starting work, covering the wage rate and how and when it is paid, hours, holidays and sick pay, with changes notified in writing within one month. The Act does not set out a payslip template, but the deductions on it each come from law, so they need to be visible.
| Section | Lines |
|---|---|
| Header | Employer name and tax ID, employee name, staff number, pay period, pay date |
| Identifiers | Employee tax ID, pension PIN and PFA, NHF number if contributing |
| Earnings | Basic, housing, transport, other allowances, overtime, bonus, benefits in kind |
| Deductions | PAYE, employee pension (8%), voluntary pension, NHF (2.5%), loans or advances |
| Employer contributions (memo) | Employer pension (10%) and group life, shown for information |
| Totals | Gross pay, total deductions, net pay; year-to-date gross, PAYE and pension |
Showing pay split into basic, housing and transport matters in Nigeria because pension contributions are calculated on monthly emoluments that include at least those three elements. Year-to-date figures help staff check that their tax is right.
Example only, using the figures from our PAYE guide: gross ₦500,000; employee pension ₦40,000; PAYE ₦61,700 (after pension and rent relief); net ₦398,300. Employer pension of ₦40,000 appears as a memo line, not a deduction.
A remote team adds problems a local employer rarely faces. Your payroll may be prepared in the US, approved in one time zone and paid in another, so payslips arrive late or not at all. Set a rule that payslips go out on payday, from the payroll system, as PDFs staff can forward. Use the employee's name exactly as it appears on their bank account and BVN record; a mismatch causes trouble when a landlord or embassy compares the payslip with a bank statement.
Show amounts in naira even if you budget in dollars. If part of the package is set in dollars and converted, state the rate used and its source on the payslip, so staff can check the naira figure that PAYE was calculated on. Correct mistakes with a revised payslip rather than an adjustment hidden in next month's pay, and keep both versions.
Finally, decide who staff should contact with a payroll question: your finance lead, the EOR's support desk or your Nigerian accountant. A named contact and a two-day response promise prevent most complaints.
According to PwC's summary (reviewed 29 May 2026), employers file an annual return of all emoluments paid to employees by 31 January each year, alongside the monthly PAYE remittances due by the 10th. States use their own forms and portals for this return. Many staff still call the individual record a "tax card" or tax deduction card; today it is usually a statement or evidence of PAYE paid through the state IRS portal.
Your staff need that record because a tax clearance certificate from their state IRS depends on tax paid being on record, and tax clearance is commonly asked for in property, visa and contract dealings. Lost remittance receipts are the most common reason an employee cannot get one.
The Nigeria Tax Administration Act 2025 requires books and records sufficient to work out tax liability to be kept in English for at least six years after the year of assessment.
For all deadlines in one place, see a statutory deductions calendar and the Ledger's payroll filing deadlines in Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya.
Through Pryme's partnership with VerifyDoc.ai, a Pryme customer can generate a regular or a verifiable statement or receipt, and anyone can check a verifiable one is genuine and unaltered. That helps staff who are asked to prove salary payments to a landlord or embassy; see receipts and payroll.
