Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Loans

Migo repayment problems, customer care and stopping debits

Migo often lends through partner banks and apps. How repayments and debits work, how to dispute one, and where to complain.

The short answer

Migo, formerly Kwikmoney, often provides credit through partner banks and apps, so your repayment and any debit usually runs through the partner where you took the loan. To dispute a debit, first find which institution's name is on the loan, complain to it and to Migo in writing, and ask your bank to investigate. Migo was not on the FCCPC approved lenders register by name when we checked in October 2026, so the partner's regulator is usually the escalation route.

Why Migo repayment can be confusing

Migo, which many readers still know as Kwikmoney (see how Kwikmoney became Migo), is a credit technology company. Much of its lending has reached customers through partners such as banks and apps, rather than only through its own app; your loan confirmation shows which. So the first question when a repayment goes wrong is: where did you take the loan? That decides who holds the debt, how it is collected and who you complain to.

When we read the FCCPC's register of approved digital money lenders (last modified 3 March 2026) in October 2026, we did not find Migo or Kwikmoney by name. If your loan came through a bank's channel, that bank's licence and its regulator, the CBN, apply; if through Migo's own app, ask Migo which entity is the lender.

How repayment and debits usually work

  • Through a bank partner: the loan is usually repaid from your account at that bank on the due date, by a debit the bank makes. Your bank statement shows it.
  • Through Migo's app or a USSD menu: repayment is by the methods shown for your loan, often a linked card, account mandate or transfer.
  • Partial collection: if the account is short, the lender may take what is available and try again as money arrives.

We could not verify Migo's own repayment pages for this guide, so check the loan confirmation SMS or screen for the lender's name, the due date and the repayment method you agreed.

Worked example (illustrative figures only)

Suppose you took ₦25,000 for 15 days with a fee of 7.5%, a figure assumed for the sum. You owe ₦26,875. If ₦10,000 is collected on the due date, ₦16,875 remains. If two more debits of ₦8,000 and ₦8,875 follow as money arrives, the total collected is ₦26,875 and the loan should close. If a fourth debit appears after that, it is the one to dispute. Keep a simple tally like this; it is the clearest evidence you can give. More on cost in Migo's interest rate and limits.

Disputing a debit

  1. List every debit with date and amount from your bank statement.
  2. Compare the total with the amount the loan confirmation said you owed.
  3. Complain in writing to the institution named on the loan, and copy Migo, attaching the list and your loan confirmation.
  4. Ask your own bank to investigate any debit you did not authorise or that exceeds what you owed, and to reverse it if it is wrong.
  5. Ask the lender to cancel any mandate once the loan is cleared.

Migo customer care and complaints

We could not verify Migo's support number or email for this review. Use the support channel in the app or menu where you took the loan, the partner bank's own customer care if the loan came through a bank, and the contact page on Migo's official website reached by typing the address yourself.

Where you took the loanComplain first toThen escalate to
A bank's app or USSDThe bank, copying MigoCBN consumer protection
Migo's own appMigo, asking which entity is the lenderThat entity's regulator: CBN or FCCPC
A non-bank app using MigoThe app, copying MigoFCCPC at lenderstaskforce@fccpc.gov.ng

The FCCPC's 2025 lending regulations require lenders under them to resolve complaints within 24 hours, or 48 at most, and route disputes to the FCCPC where there is no other applicable regulator. Our guide to complaining to the CBN covers bank-side complaints. This is information, not legal advice.

What to check first

  • The lender's name in the loan confirmation SMS or screen.
  • The total you were told you would repay, and the due date.
  • Every debit since the loan started, from your bank statement.
  • Whether you have more than one loan running through different apps or banks; it is easy to mistake one lender's debit for another's.

Once you have these four points, you can tell in a few minutes whether a debit is a fair recovery of what you owe or a mistake worth disputing.

If you find two loans, write to each lender separately; one complaint mixing both is harder for either to resolve. And if a debit belongs to a loan you do not recognise at all, tell your bank at once: an unknown loan in your name may point to someone else using your details, which needs reporting in its own right.

Where Pryme fits

Pryme customers can generate a verifiable statement with VerifyDoc.ai, which anyone can check is genuine and unaltered, a clean way to show a lender or your bank what was debited; see receipts and statements.

Questions people ask

How do I repay my Migo loan?

Use the method shown where you took the loan: often a debit from your bank account if it came through a bank, or the card, mandate or transfer shown in Migo's app.

How do I stop Migo from debiting my account?

Repay the balance first. If debits continue after the loan is cleared, complain to the lender and Migo with your tally of debits and ask your bank to reverse the excess.

Is Migo the same as Kwikmoney?

Yes. Migo was formerly known as Kwikmoney; our explainer covers the change.

Who do I report Migo to?

It depends on the lender named on your loan: the CBN for a bank partner, or the FCCPC at lenderstaskforce@fccpc.gov.ng for a non-bank digital lender.
