Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Who can open a Kuda account, the four set-up stages, how BVN and NIN move you from Tier 1 to Tier 2, and what Tier 3 address checks involve.
To open a Kuda account you need to be 18 or over, a Nigerian citizen or resident, with a BVN and a phone on iOS 12 or Android 6 or later, per Kuda's Help Centre (Aug 2026). Set-up has four stages: create a profile, verify your address, verify your identity with BVN or NIN and a selfie video, then set a transaction PIN. Linking both BVN and NIN puts you on Tier 2; a verified home address takes you to Tier 3.
Kuda's "How to open a Kuda account" page, updated August 2026, lists the requirements:
Enter your email address and a password, confirm the email with the code Kuda sends, choose a username, then sign in and create a 6-digit passcode.
On the Get Started page, tap Verify Your Address. Kuda asks for a valid address (not a PO Box), a selfie and your BVN. You take a photo, enter a landmark or street name and pick the address on a map. Kuda suggests turning on location access for the app to help verification.
Choose the purpose of the account, then add your BVN (with the verification code sent to the BVN phone number) or your NIN (with the phone number linked to it and a code). Finish by recording a short selfie video in good light.
Set and confirm a transaction PIN. Kuda then confirms the account is created and issues an account number.
Kuda's accounts move up three tiers as you link more identity: Tier 1 with one ID, Tier 2 with both BVN and NIN, and Tier 3 once your home address is verified. Each tier raises what you can hold and send; the figures are in Kuda transfer limits by tier and in the app. To reach Tier 2, open the dashboard and tap Upgrade to Tier 2, then add whichever ID you did not use at sign-up: NIN if you verified with BVN, or BVN if you verified with NIN. Kuda says the name order and date of birth on your NIN must match your BVN, and it reviews the upgrade within 24 hours.
Tap Upgrade to Tier 3, give your occupation and income range, upload proof of address and confirm your location. Kuda accepts an electricity bill, waste bill, rental agreement, telephone or internet bill, credit report, tax certificate, estate or serviced-apartment receipt, or Land Use Charge. A verification agent then visits and asks whoever is there whether you live at the address, using your full name, so tell co-tenants, neighbours or security staff to expect them.
Kuda applies a CBN rule that restricts how much a new account can receive and send in its first 24 hours, counted from when the account number is issued, and card funding does not work in that window. The restriction lifts by itself. The amounts are set out in how to fund a Kuda account; if someone needs to send you a large sum on day one, ask them to wait.
Concerned about handing over your BVN? Read is it safe to share your BVN.
You do not need the mobile app to begin. Kuda says you can open an account in a browser at app.kuda.com and its profile steps work there too. You will still need a phone that can receive the BVN verification code and a camera for the selfie video.
Once the account is open, a few early steps save trouble later:
A note on timing: the BVN and NIN steps depend on verification codes reaching the phone numbers registered on those records, so do the set-up somewhere with good network coverage and keep both phones, if different, close by. The selfie video also needs good light; Kuda suggests a well-lit area for this stage.
Pryme Personal and Business accounts can be opened from any country, and naira deposits are held by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank. See open an account.
Per Kuda (Aug 2026): be 18 or over, a Nigerian citizen or resident, have a BVN and a phone on iOS 12 or Android 6 or later. Add NIN for higher limits.
Kuda's identity step lets you verify with BVN or NIN, but its account-opening page lists a BVN as a requirement, and Tier 2 needs both.
Kuda says it reviews the NIN or BVN within 24 hours. Your NIN and BVN names and date of birth must match.
Kuda applies a CBN rule restricting inflows and outflows for 24 hours after the account number is issued. It lifts by itself.

Kuda holds naira only and has no SWIFT code, so money from abroad must arrive as naira through a transfer service. Here is how that works.
