Ten years, one trunk

The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.

2016E-commerce

An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.

2018OjirehPrime Card

A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.

2020Microfinance bank

PrymeSolid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.

2023Multicurrency

More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.

2026Agentic operations

Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.

Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Banking how-tos

Keystone Bank customer care: numbers, email and escalation

Keystone Bank's published phone lines, email, head office and social accounts, plus the order to escalate a complaint up to the CBN.

The short answer

Keystone Bank's own pages list +234 700 2000 3000 (described as a 24-hour contact centre), 02013448668 and 02014485743, and the email contactcentre@keystonebankng.com. The head office is at No. 1 Keystone Bank Crescent, off Adeyemo Alakija Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. If a complaint is not resolved, you can escalate to the CBN's Consumer Protection Department after allowing the bank two weeks.

Fake customer care numbers are one of the commonest routes to bank fraud in Nigeria. The safest number is the one printed on the bank's own website, card or statement. Every Keystone contact below was taken from Keystone Bank's own pages in October 2026.

Which channel for which problem

  • Lost card or suspicious debit: phone first. If your phone is gone too, dial *7111*911# from any phone; Keystone says this blocks all your accounts.
  • Failed transfer or ATM, POS or app dispute: Keymobile's Dispute Management menu or the contact centre. Have the date, amount and session ID or reference.
  • Restriction, PND or document updates: email or branch, with ID ready.
  • Statements, reference letters, account closure: branch, or email to start the request. Keystone says closure needs a written instruction to the branch.
  • Staff misconduct: Keystone's whistleblowing channels below.

Whistleblowing contacts

Keystone's FAQ page lists these for reporting unethical conduct by staff: officeoftheceo@keystonebankng.com (MD/CEO) and internalaudit@keystonebankng.com (Internal Audit). It also names the CBN's Director of Banking Supervision at info@cenbank.org. The bank says reports are treated with utmost confidentiality.

How to escalate a complaint

  1. Complain to Keystone in writing. Email contactcentre@keystonebankng.com with your name, account number (never your PIN or password), what happened, the date, the amount and what you want done. Keep the reply or the reference number.
  2. Give it time. The CBN's complaints page asks customers to allow their bank two weeks. TechCabal (May 2026) notes a 30-day window for some complaint types such as loans and excess charges.
  3. Write to the CBN. Address it to the Director, Consumer Protection Department, Central Bank of Nigeria, Central Business District, Abuja. Include your contact details, the bank, the transaction history, amount claimed, documents and proof you complained to Keystone first. TechCabal lists cpd@cbn.gov.ng.
  4. Keep records. Screenshots of alerts, names of agents and dates of calls make the CBN's review faster.

Our complaint letter template sets out the wording, and how to complain about a bank explains what the CBN can and cannot do.

What to have ready before you call

Calls go faster when you can answer the agent's checks at once and describe the problem precisely. Before you dial, gather:

  • Your 10-digit Keystone account number and the full name on the account.
  • The phone number and email registered with the bank; the agent will usually check these.
  • For a transaction problem: the date, time, amount, channel (app, *7111#, card, branch) and the reference or session ID from the alert or receipt.
  • For a card problem: the last four digits of the card, never the full number or PIN.
  • A pen, or your phone's notes app, to record the agent's name and the complaint reference.

If you are abroad, the +234 700 2000 3000 line is the one written in international format on Keystone's pages; roaming or international call charges from your own network apply. Keystone's FAQ page also notes that mobile banking works outside Nigeria if roaming is enabled, so the app can be a cheaper first step for a simple request.

When the bank is closed

The 24-hour description applies to the contact centre line on Keystone's card page; branch services such as statements, document updates and closures need branch hours. For anything urgent at night, such as a stolen card or phone, use the phone line or the *7111*911# code, then follow up in writing the next working day so the complaint has a dated record.

Staying safe when you call

  • Keystone staff do not need your PIN, OTP or full card number to help you.
  • Do not call numbers posted in replies under the bank's social media posts.
  • Be wary of anyone who calls you first and claims to be from the bank, especially if they ask you to dial a code or approve a transaction.
  • Ownership questions since the 2025 federal takeover are covered in our Keystone ownership guide.

Where Pryme fits

If you bank with Pryme as well, its support channels are on the contact page; keep each bank's official numbers saved in your phone so you never have to search for them under pressure.

Questions people ask

What is Keystone Bank customer care number?

Keystone's own pages list +234 700 2000 3000, which its card page describes as a 24-hour contact centre, plus 02013448668 and 02014485743.

What is Keystone Bank email address for complaints?

contactcentre@keystonebankng.com is the email listed consistently on Keystone's pages.

Does Keystone Bank have a WhatsApp number?

Keystone's pages we read did not list a WhatsApp number. They mention Oxygen Chat Banking as a channel, but do not give a number on those pages, so do not trust numbers shared elsewhere.

How do I report Keystone Bank to the CBN?

Complain to Keystone first and allow two weeks. Then write to the Director, Consumer Protection Department, CBN, with your evidence and proof you complained to the bank.
