Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

A buyer's map of Uyo's markets: what Itam, Akpan Andem and the Etuk Street trading area are used for, when to go and how to judge prices.
In Uyo, Akpan Andem is the main central food market, while Itam market, which sits in neighbouring Itu Local Government Area on the edge of the city, is widely used for foodstuff in bulk, including palm oil and farm produce. The Etuk Street and Ibom Plaza area is a shopping district rather than one market. No council publishes trading days or prices, so treat any figure as an example and compare on the day.
Uyo does not have one market that does everything. Households, caterers and small shop owners spread their buying across a few places, depending on whether they want variety, bulk or convenience. This guide sets out what each place is used for, what we could and could not confirm, and how to plan a buying trip. Akwa Ibom State and the local councils do not publish market calendars or price lists online, so we flag where you need to check on the day.
| Place | Location | Best for | Confirmed by reporting? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Itam market | Itam, Itu LGA, on the Uyo boundary | Bulk foodstuff, farm produce, palm oil | Location in Itu LGA confirmed; goods commonly reported |
| Akpan Andem market | Central Uyo | Weekly food shop, meat, live chicken, okirika | Yes, by a 2022 report |
| Etuk Street area | Central Uyo | Shops for clothes, phones, household goods | Commonly described; no official source |
| Ibom Plaza area | City centre | Walk-in shopping and services around the plaza | Commonly described; no official source |
A 2022 THEWILL report places Itam market in Itu Local Government Area, which is why some residents call it an Uyo market and others do not. The same report describes problems that still shape a visit: an abandoned road project that the Itu council chairman said channelled floodwater into the market, and a lack of electricity. Because of that, the chairman directed traders to stay inside the market until 5pm and then use the pavements until closing at 6pm.
For buyers, those details translate into simple advice. Go in the morning, avoid the hour just after heavy rain, and be ready to leave before dark. Itam is commonly used by caterers and small shop owners for foodstuff in quantity: garri, beans, rice, palm oil, yams, plantain and fresh produce from surrounding farms. That reputation is widely repeated, but we did not find an official source for it, so check the stock yourself.
Akpan Andem in central Uyo is the place most households use for a full food shop in one trip. The same 2022 report describes a meat building, a chicken plaza and second-hand clothing near the internal motor park. Our separate guide to Akpan Andem covers the layout and timing in more detail.
Etuk Street and the streets around Ibom Plaza are best thought of as a shopping district rather than a market. You will find shops selling clothes, shoes, phones and accessories, cosmetics and household goods, plus banks and small services. Prices are usually closer to fixed than in the food markets, but there is still room to ask for a discount, especially if you buy more than one item.
Neither the state nor the councils publish market prices, and food prices in Nigeria move month to month. The figures below are a labelled example to show how bulk buying changes cost, not current prices.
| Item (example) | Small quantity | Bulk quantity | Cost per unit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Garri | ₦2,000 for a small paint bucket | ₦38,000 for a bag holding 20 buckets | ₦2,000 vs ₦1,900 |
| Palm oil | ₦3,500 per litre bottle | ₦85,000 for 25 litres | ₦3,500 vs ₦3,400 |
| Transport to and from market | ₦0 extra if bought near home | ₦3,000 return trip (example) | Spread across the bulk order |
In this example, bulk garri saves ₦2,000 across 20 buckets and bulk palm oil saves ₦2,500 across 25 litres, a total of ₦4,500. A ₦3,000 return trip leaves a net saving of ₦1,500. Bulk buying pays when you buy enough, store it well and can carry it cheaply. For a single household, it often only makes sense if you share the order with neighbours.
The 2022 report quotes a trader who alleged that ticket agents collected ₦100 from indoor traders and up to ₦500 from roadside traders, often without a receipt. If you trade in any Uyo market, ask the local government revenue office for the official rate and keep every receipt. If you are a buyer paying by transfer, let the seller confirm the credit before you leave; our guide to spotting a fake transfer receipt works for both sides.
If you run a small shop or catering business and restock at Itam or Akpan Andem, a Pryme Business Account keeps supplier payments in one place, and a verifiable receipt made with VerifyDoc.ai gives you proof of what you paid. If you are deciding where to sell rather than where to buy, read our guide to the best areas to open a shop in Uyo.
A 2022 report places Itam market in Itu Local Government Area, on the edge of Uyo. Many Uyo residents still shop there.
Itam market is commonly used for bulk foodstuff, including palm oil. Check the container size and the oil's colour and smell before you pay.
In 2022 the Itu council chairman said traders should stay inside until 5pm and use the pavements until closing at 6pm, because the market lacked electricity.
The Etuk Street and Ibom Plaza area is the main shopping district for clothes, phones and household goods.
