Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What Aba's workshops, markets, schools and offices pay, the legal minimum wage, how tax applies to a typical salary, and where vacancies appear.
Most paid work in Aba sits in small workshops (shoes, bags, garments), market trading, schools, transport and services, with a smaller layer of bank, telecom and public-sector jobs. The legal floor is the national minimum wage of ₦70,000 a month set in July 2024, which Abia State began paying its own workers from October 2024; many informal jobs pay by the piece or the day instead, so ask how pay is calculated before you start.
Aba is commonly described as the South-East's workshop city. Its reputation rests on small manufacturing, above all leather shoes, bags and belts, and ready-made garments, and on trading, with Ariaria and the other big markets drawing buyers from across Nigeria and the wider region. Around that core sit the jobs every large city has: teaching in private and public schools, retail, transport, food, hairdressing, phone and electrical repairs, logistics, security, healthcare and a branch network of banks and telecom firms.
Two features shape pay. First, much of the work is informal: a workshop owner may employ five or ten people with no written contract, paying weekly or per piece. Second, a lot of training happens through apprenticeship, where a young person learns a trade for a set period in return for little or no wage and, often, help to set up on their own at the end. Our guide to starting a shoe or garment workshop in Aba covers that side from the owner's view.
The National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Act 2024, signed on 29 July 2024, raised the national minimum wage from ₦30,000 to ₦70,000 a month, with a review every three years (PaySpace summary of the Act). Abia State began paying the new minimum to its civil servants in October 2024; in February 2025 the state government and the Nigeria Labour Congress signed an agreement correcting the consequential adjustments for workers on grade levels 8 to 17, which had not been fully applied (FMINO, 17 February 2025).
The Act does not reach every job. A law-firm summary of the 2024 Act (SCP Law, 31 July 2024) lists exemptions carried over from the 2019 Act, including part-time and commission-only workers and establishments with fewer than 25 employees. That covers most Aba workshops and shops, so in practice the ₦70,000 figure is a benchmark for informal pay rather than a rule employers there must meet. This is information, not legal advice.
There is no official survey of Aba wages by occupation, so the ranges below are examples of the kind of offers people describe, not quoted rates. Use them to frame a question, then ask the employer directly.
| Type of work | How pay usually works | Example monthly range (illustrative) |
|---|---|---|
| Workshop apprentice (shoes, garments) | Upkeep allowance or none; trade learned | ₦0 to ₦30,000 |
| Skilled machinist or shoemaker | Per piece, per dozen or weekly | ₦60,000 to ₦200,000, depending on output |
| Shop or market sales assistant | Monthly, sometimes plus commission | ₦40,000 to ₦90,000 |
| Private nursery or primary teacher | Monthly, often only during term | ₦40,000 to ₦120,000 |
| Keke or bus driver (hired vehicle) | Daily balance to owner, keep the rest | Varies daily with fares and fuel |
| Bank or telecom contract staff | Monthly, through an outsourcing firm | ₦80,000 to ₦200,000 |
| State or federal civil servant | Grade level and step | Not below ₦70,000 under the Act |
Piece rates reward speed and steady orders. In a slow month, such as just after the Christmas rush, a machinist on piece rates can earn far less than in November. Our guide to the seasons that move prices in Aba explains when orders peak.
Under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025, in force from 1 January 2026, the first ₦800,000 of yearly taxable income is taxed at 0%, the next ₦2.2 million at 15%, and higher bands at 18% to 25%; a worker earning the national minimum wage or less is exempt (DLA Piper Africa, 28 August 2026). Pension contributions under a registered scheme and rent relief (20% of rent, capped at ₦500,000) reduce taxable income.
Example: Ada is a bank contract officer in Aba on ₦150,000 a month, or ₦1,800,000 a year, with no reliefs claimed. The first ₦800,000 is taxed at 0%. The remaining ₦1,000,000 falls in the 15% band: 15% of ₦1,000,000 is ₦150,000 a year, or ₦12,500 a month. Her take-home before any pension deduction is ₦137,500. If she paid ₦600,000 rent a year and claimed rent relief of 20% (₦120,000), her taxable income in the 15% band would fall to ₦880,000 and her tax to ₦132,000 a year, ₦11,000 a month. See Nigeria's PAYE tax bands for 2026 for the full table.
If you are paid by transfer, a Pryme Personal Account gives you a record of every payment, and through our partnership with VerifyDoc.ai you can generate a verifiable statement that a landlord or lender can check has not been altered. Employers paying several staff can use payroll on a Business Account. Pryme Financial Ltd is a technology company, not a bank; Naira deposits are held by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Ltd, licensed by the CBN and insured by the NDIC up to the applicable limit.
The national minimum wage is ₦70,000 a month under the 2024 amendment Act. Abia State began paying it to its workers from October 2024 and signed a correction agreement with labour in February 2025.
Most skilled shoemakers are paid per piece or per dozen, so earnings rise and fall with orders. There is no official wage survey; ask the workshop owner for the rate per pair and the typical weekly output.
Often only a small upkeep allowance, or nothing, in return for learning the trade. Agree in advance how long the apprenticeship lasts and what support comes at the end.
From January 2026 the first ₦800,000 a year is taxed at 0%. On ₦1.2 million a year with no reliefs, ₦400,000 is taxed at 15%, which is ₦60,000 a year or ₦5,000 a month.
