Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

How to get your salary early with Earnipay

Earnipay lets staff of signed-up employers draw pay they have already earned before payday. Who can use it, the steps, the fee to check, and the risks.

The short answer

Earnipay lets you withdraw part of the salary you have already earned before payday, but only if your employer has signed up to Earnipay; you register with your work details, see the amount available, and the withdrawal plus any fee is taken from your next salary. It is earned wage access rather than a conventional loan, so check the fee shown in the app and remember that payday will be smaller.

What Earnipay is

Earnipay is an earned wage access service. Instead of lending you money based on a credit score, it gives you access to wages you have already worked for in the current pay period, before your employer's payday. When salary is paid, the amount you drew is settled from it. Earnipay also offers other financial tools to employees and employers; this guide covers the early salary feature.

Because it works through your employer, the most important eligibility rule is simple: your employer has to be on Earnipay. An individual cannot sign up and draw wages from an employer that has no arrangement with it. For how this differs from salary loans, see Salary advance in Nigeria: how it works and what it costs.

Who can use it

  • Employees of a company that has signed up to Earnipay.
  • Staff whose details the employer has shared with Earnipay, so that your pay and working days can be matched.
  • Users who complete identity checks, which normally include BVN verification and a bank account in their own name.

If you are unsure whether your employer is signed up, ask HR or payroll. Earnipay's website describes the employer sign-up route.

Steps to get early pay

  1. Confirm with HR that your employer uses Earnipay, and how you will be invited.
  2. Download the Earnipay app from the official store listing, or follow the invitation link your employer sends.
  3. Register using the details your employer has on file, such as work email or staff ID and phone number.
  4. Verify your identity and add the bank account the money should go to.
  5. Open the app to see your available amount, which reflects pay earned so far in the period, within any limit your employer or Earnipay sets.
  6. Choose an amount, read the fee shown, and confirm only if you accept it.
  7. On payday, check your payslip: the amount withdrawn and the fee should be shown as deductions.

Worked example: what payday looks like afterwards

Example only; the access limit and fee are invented, not Earnipay's terms. Musa earns ₦198,000 a month over 22 working days, which is ₦9,000 a day. After 10 days he has earned ₦90,000. If the limit were half of earned pay, he could draw up to ₦45,000. He draws ₦40,000 and pays an example fee of ₦800.

LineAmount
Monthly salary₦198,000
Earned after 10 of 22 days₦90,000
Example access limit (50% of earned)₦45,000
Amount drawn₦40,000
Example fee₦800
Salary received on payday₦157,200

Musa's payday is ₦40,800 smaller. If he draws early every month, the fee is a regular cost and next month's gap starts sooner. The actual fee and limit are in the app; our Earnipay fees and limit explainer covers how they are presented.

Is it a loan?

Earned wage access is usually presented as access to your own earned pay rather than a loan, because the amount is limited to what you have already worked for and is settled from salary. In practice it still brings payday forward, and a fee is a cost of doing so. Treat it with the same care you would a short loan: draw what you need, not what is available. Rules on digital lending are set by the FCCPC; the regulator resumed enforcing its 2025 regulations on 20 July 2026. Earnipay did not appear by that name on the approved lender list reproduced in April 2026, which may reflect how its product is classified; for a fuller look see Is Earnipay legit?

When early pay helps, and when it does not

Early pay is useful for an expense that cannot wait and that you would otherwise cover with a loan at a higher cost: an urgent repair, a medical bill, a school levy due mid-month. It helps less when the cause is that salary routinely runs out before month end. In that case drawing early each month shifts the shortfall forward and adds a fee each time, and within a few months the whole salary is effectively spent before it arrives. If that pattern sounds familiar, our guide Why your salary finishes before month end works through the budget side. A sensible rule is to use early pay for specific events, not as a standing part of the monthly plan.

What to check first

  • That your employer is signed up, and how payroll will show the deduction.
  • The fee for each withdrawal, as the app shows it before you confirm.
  • Your remaining salary after deductions, before you draw.
  • What happens if you leave the company mid-month with an amount drawn.

Where Pryme fits

The Personal Assistant on a Pryme Personal Account can help you plan around payday with reminders and bill schedules, preparing actions you approve. For spending at Spaces merchants, Loans on Spaces from Solid Allianze MFB is a separate option, offered and accepted on its own terms.

Questions people ask

Can I use Earnipay if my company is not registered?

No. Earnipay's early pay works through employers that have signed up, so ask HR whether your company uses it.

How much salary can I get early on Earnipay?

Part of what you have already earned in the current pay period, within the limit shown in the app.

Does Earnipay charge interest?

The app shows a fee for each withdrawal before you confirm. Check it each time, because it is a regular cost if you draw monthly.

How is Earnipay repaid?

The amount drawn and the fee are deducted from your next salary through your employer's payroll.
