Ten years, one trunk

The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.

2016E-commerce

An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.

2018OjirehPrime Card

A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.

2020Microfinance bank

PrymeSolid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.

2023Multicurrency

More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.

2026Agentic operations

Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.

Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Loans

Fast Credit loan requirements and how to apply

Fast Credit loan eligibility, the documents to have ready, the application steps and how disbursement works, with what to check before you sign.

The short answer

To apply for a Fast Credit loan you submit an application through Fast Credit's official website, app or office with your ID, BVN, proof of income and bank details, then review and accept the written offer before the money is paid. Fast Credit sets amounts, rates and tenors per applicant; we could not confirm published figures (as at Oct 2026), so read the offer for the total repayable.

Fast Credit is a Nigerian lender. Its name suggests speed, but what matters more is whether its terms suit you and whether you can repay without strain. This guide covers eligibility, the documents most applicants will need, the steps and how the money reaches you, plus the checks to make before you sign. For its registration status, see is Fast Credit legit?, and for pricing, Fast Credit interest rate and limits.

Who can apply

  • Adults aged 18 or over resident in Nigeria, with a BVN and a valid ID.
  • Salary earners with a regular salary paid into a Nigerian bank account.
  • Self-employed people and business owners who can show steady income in bank statements.
  • Applicants without unpaid debts on their credit bureau record.

Lenders weigh these differently, and Fast Credit's own criteria may be narrower; for example, some lenders serve only salary earners at certain employers. Ask before you collect documents.

Documents to have ready

  1. Valid ID: NIN slip, international passport, driver's licence or voter's card.
  2. BVN.
  3. Recent passport photograph or selfie.
  4. Proof of income: payslips and employment letter, or business account statements.
  5. Bank statement for the account your income arrives in, commonly covering the last 3 to 6 months.
  6. Proof of address such as a utility bill.
  7. Details of the account that repayments will come from, for a direct debit mandate.

Steps

  1. Find Fast Credit's official website or app. Do not apply through links in unsolicited messages.
  2. Check the lender on the FCCPC register of digital lenders if you are applying online; our guide shows how.
  3. Complete the application with accurate personal, employment and income details.
  4. Upload documents and consent to identity and credit bureau checks.
  5. Answer any verification call or request for further documents.
  6. Receive the offer, read every line, and accept only if the total repayable and the schedule work for you.
  7. Set up the repayment mandate. The loan is then paid into your account.

How disbursement works

For lenders that check documents and set up a direct debit, money is usually paid only after the mandate is active and verification is complete. Delays most often come from an unclear statement, an employer that cannot be reached or a mismatch between the name on your BVN and on your bank account. Ask Fast Credit how long its process usually takes so you can plan.

Read the offer: a worked example

Example only (not Fast Credit's pricing)Figure
Loan₦300,000
Example rate4.5% a month, flat = ₦13,500 a month
Tenor4 months
Total interest₦54,000
Example processing fee deducted at payout, 2%₦6,000
Cash you receive₦294,000
Total repayable₦354,000
Monthly instalment (₦300,000 ÷ 4 + ₦13,500)₦88,500

In this example you receive ₦294,000 but repay ₦354,000, a cost of ₦60,000. Check whether interest is flat or on the reducing balance, whether there is a fee for early repayment, and what late charges apply. APR vs flat fee explains how to compare offers.

What to check first

  • The company name on the offer matches the lender you checked.
  • No fee is requested into a personal account before the loan is paid.
  • The instalment is affordable from your normal monthly income.
  • You understand what the lender can do if you miss a payment, including reporting to the credit bureaus.
  • The app, if you use one, does not ask for access to your contacts or photos beyond what the service needs.

If you cannot repay on schedule

Contact Fast Credit before the due date, not after. Lenders are generally more willing to agree a new schedule with a borrower who raises the problem early, and doing so can avoid late charges building up. Ask for any revised arrangement in writing, including the new total you will repay. Do not take a second loan from another lender to cover the instalment; that adds a new set of charges and a second due date.

Keep proof of every payment you make, whether by direct debit or transfer, and check that each one is reflected in your loan balance. If a payment is missing from the lender's records, the receipt is what resolves it. A missed repayment that is reported to the credit bureaus can stay on your record and affect borrowing from banks and apps alike, so it is worth protecting.

If you are threatened or shamed over a debt by any lender, see loan app harassment: your rights.

Where Pryme fits

For planned spending in supported sectors, Pryme customers may be offered Loans on Spaces from Solid Allianze MFB, spendable only with Spaces merchants; the agreement is shown in full and you choose whether to accept.
