Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

How to turn a flat fee, a monthly rate or an upfront deduction into an annual rate, with worked naira examples, so you can compare any two loan offers.
Part of the guideCredit without a loan form: loan apps, BNPL and Spaces
A flat fee is a one-off charge, the same whether you repay in three days or thirty; APR (annual percentage rate) is the yearly cost of borrowing including compulsory fees, so it lets you compare loans of different lengths. To compare two offers, first find the total naira you will repay and the naira you will actually receive, then annualise: fee ÷ amount received × 365 ÷ days held. For short, fixed-fee credit the naira figure is the more useful number; for anything that runs over months, APR shows the real price.
Nigerian lenders quote prices in at least four ways: a flat fee, a flat rate per month, a rate per year, and an amount taken off the top before you are paid. Each can make the same loan look cheaper or dearer. This article gives you one method that works for all of them. It sits under our guide to loan apps, BNPL, salary advances and Spaces, which covers the products themselves.
APR converts each of these to the same yardstick: the cost per year as a percentage of the money you actually had the use of. The CBN's April 2026 exposure draft of its revised Guide to Charges proposes that banks and other financial institutions communicate all interest and lending rates on an APR basis, and the FCCPC's 2025 lending guidelines treat interest rates or APRs, charges and default fees as material terms of a digital loan.
These are illustrations, not quotes from any lender.
| Offer | Received | Repaid | Naira cost | Simple annual rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A: flat fee of ₦6,000, paid at the end | ₦80,000 | ₦86,000 | ₦6,000 | about 91% |
| B: 4% fee deducted upfront | ₦76,800 | ₦80,000 | ₦3,200 | about 51% |
| C: 36% a year on the balance | ₦80,000 | ₦82,367 | ₦2,367 | 36% |
Offer B looks like it costs 4%, but because the fee comes off what you receive, the rate on the money you actually use is 3,200 ÷ 76,800, about 4.2% for the month. Offer C has the highest-sounding number, 36%, and is the cheapest in naira. Offer A sounds small, "just ₦6,000", and is the most expensive.
Now change the term. If you repay all three after 10 days instead of 30, Offers A and B still cost ₦6,000 and ₦3,200, because flat fees do not shrink, while Offer C falls to about ₦789. Repaying early only saves money when the cost is charged by time.
Instalment loans are often priced at a flat rate per month. Take ₦120,000 over six months at 4% flat a month. Interest is 4% of ₦120,000, ₦4,800, every month, ₦28,800 in total, and you repay ₦24,800 a month.
The headline suggests 48% a year (4% × 12). But you are repaying principal each month, so by month six you owe about ₦20,000 and are still paying ₦4,800 of interest on it. Worked out on the falling balance, the true rate is about 6.5% a month, roughly 78% a year as a simple rate and over 110% compounded. As a rule of thumb, a flat monthly rate on a six-month loan costs about one and a half to two times what the headline implies.
| Situation | Compare by | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Short, one-off credit with a fixed fee (salary advance, 14-day loan) | Naira cost | You know when you will repay; the fee does not change |
| Credit charged by time (overdraft, balance-based rates) | APR, then naira for your expected days | Cost depends on how long you hold it |
| Instalment loans, BNPL with interest | APR on the falling balance | Flat monthly rates hide the true cost |
| Any offer with an upfront deduction | Cost ÷ money received | The headline is on money you never get |
Once you have an annual figure, compare it with what banks charge. The CBN reset its Monetary Policy Rate to 23% in September 2026, and the average maximum lending rate charged by banks was 33.16% a year in June 2026. Those are rates for bank customers who qualify, so a small unsecured loan will usually cost more. Still, an offer running at several hundred percent a year is many times the bank benchmark, and that gap is worth seeing in numbers before you accept.
Two more checks before you decide. Find the late fee and whether it repeats, and look for anything added to the balance as "insurance" or "processing". Both count towards the real cost. For a side-by-side look at the two most common short-term options, see overdraft versus loan app, and for fixed-fee credit tied to your pay, our article on salary advances.
If a price is described with a label you do not recognise, ask two questions: per what period, and on what balance? The answer tells you which row of the table applies. The parent guide's section on what credit really costs adds hold rates to this list.
Pryme's Spaces credit and Salary Advance are Nigeria-only. Salary Advance uses a flat fee, so its naira cost is the number to compare. Spaces credit is lent by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Ltd, a CBN-licensed microfinance bank, through the Pryme app, and can be spent only with merchants in Pryme's Spaces ecosystem. Its cost is shown in the app before you commit, and the full agreement is shown before you accept, with nothing drawn until you do. Ask the two questions above, per what period and on what balance, and run the method in this article before you decide. Solid Allianze, the lender, is integrated with all of Nigeria's licensed credit bureaus, and its credit decisions draw on them. As a CBN-licensed lender, Solid Allianze's credit activity sits within Nigeria's credit-reporting system, so repaying on time helps build a credit history.
Only if it is charged on the balance you still owe. If it is a flat rate on the original amount over several months, the true annual cost is much higher, often 90% or more for a six-month loan.
Divide the total fee by the money you actually received, then multiply by 365 and divide by the number of days in the loan. A ₦7,500 fee on ₦50,000 for 14 days works out at about 391% a year as a simple rate.
Usually not. A flat fee is charged once whatever the term. Repaying early saves money when the cost is charged by time, such as an overdraft or a rate on the outstanding balance.
The lender has probably deducted a fee upfront. You still owe the full amount, so the effective cost is the fee divided by what you received, which is higher than the headline percentage.
The CBN's April 2026 exposure draft of its Guide to Charges proposes APR disclosure for banks and other financial institutions, and the FCCPC treats APRs and fees as material terms for digital lenders. Check the cost section of the agreement before you accept.
