Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

A stage-by-stage budget for a 4-bedroom duplex, the material prices behind it and how big a contingency to hold for rising costs.
A 4-bedroom duplex is best budgeted in seven stages, from approvals and foundation to finishes and external works, with a contingency of at least 15% on top. Material prices are the main risk: BusinessDay reported a 50kg bag of cement at about ₦10,000 in Lagos in September 2025, up from ₦4,500 at the start of 2024, so price each stage when you reach it, not once at the start.
Most people building in Nigeria from the UK fund the house from salary over two to four years, sending money as each stage is reached. That suits the way a duplex is built, but it means the price of later stages is set by the market when you get there. A budget that adds up today can fall short by the time roofing and finishes come round.
The answer is to budget each stage separately, with its own quote, and to hold a contingency for both overruns and price rises. Ask a quantity surveyor for a bill of quantities from your approved drawings; it lists every material and labour item, and lets you check each contractor's quote line by line.
BusinessDay's reporting gives a sense of how fast prices have moved:
| Item | Earlier price | Later price | Source and date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cement, 50kg bag (Lagos) | ₦4,500, start of 2024 | about ₦10,000; Dangote ₦10,200 in Ojo and Surulere | BusinessDay, Nov 2024 and Sep 2025 |
| Iron rods, per tonne | ₦475,000 in 2022 | ₦1.2 million in 2024 | BusinessDay, Nov 2024 |
| 12mm rod, one length (Ojo) | ₦9,500 local, ₦12,500 imported | BusinessDay, Sep 2025 | |
| 9-inch block | ₦180 in 2019 | ₦700 in 2024 | BusinessDay, Nov 2024 |
| Sand / granite | ₦50,000 / ₦60,000 per ton | BusinessDay, Sep 2025 |
The September 2025 article says cement had averaged about ₦10,000 a bag since the first half of 2025. Prices differ by city and brand, so ask your site manager for this week's prices and our guide to checking building material prices from the UK explains how to verify them.
Example only. The total below is an illustration for a family planning a ₦150 million build outside a prime area. The split shows how a budget is commonly divided; your quantity surveyor's bill of quantities replaces it.
| Stage | What it covers | Example share | Example amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Approvals and drawings | Architect, structural drawings, soil test, planning permit, surveys | 5% | ₦7.5m |
| 2. Foundation | Excavation, blinding, footings, block work to damp-proof course, filling | 12% | ₦18m |
| 3. Frame and walls | Columns, beams, block walls for both floors, first-floor decking (slab), stairs | 25% | ₦37.5m |
| 4. Roofing | Roof timber or steel, roofing sheets, fascia | 10% | ₦15m |
| 5. Openings and services | Windows, doors, electrical wiring, plumbing, septic tank, borehole | 18% | ₦27m |
| 6. Finishes | Plaster, screeding, tiles, ceilings, paint, kitchen, sanitary ware | 22% | ₦33m |
| 7. External works | Fence, gate, interlocking paving, drainage | 8% | ₦12m |
| Total | 100% | ₦150m |
The shares add to 100% and the amounts to ₦150 million. The frame stage is where a duplex differs most from a bungalow: the first-floor slab and staircase need a lot of cement, rods and formwork, so it is the stage most exposed to rod and cement prices.
Hold two buffers, not one:
Example only: on the ₦150 million plan, a 10% overrun contingency is ₦15 million. A 20% price-rise buffer on stages 4 to 7 (₦87 million) adds ₦17.4 million. The full figure to plan for is ₦182.4 million (₦150m + ₦15m + ₦17.4m).
If you have the money and a secure store on site, buying cement, rods or roofing sheets ahead of the stage fixes their price. The risks are theft, damage and cement going hard in storage, so buy ahead only what will be used within a few months and keep a stock register.
Before any of this, the land itself must be clean. Our cross-border guide on title checks in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt covers that, and building in your village from the UK covers a build away from the cities.
A build is paid in naira and earned in pounds. With a Pryme account you can hold both and convert with Swap when you decide, seeing the rate and the fee before you approve, then pay suppliers directly with Send. Verifiable receipts and statements, made with VerifyDoc.ai, give you a record no one can quietly edit. Naira deposits are held by a licensed Nigerian microfinance bank.
It depends on location, size and finish, so get a bill of quantities from a quantity surveyor. Material prices have risen fast: BusinessDay reported cement at about ₦10,000 a bag in Lagos in September 2025, more than double its price at the start of 2024.
Usually the frame stage, with columns, beams, block walls for two floors and the first-floor slab, followed by finishes. Both use large amounts of cement and steel.
Hold about 10% for site overruns, plus a price-rise buffer of 15% to 25% on stages you will not start for a year or more.
Buying ahead fixes the price, but it adds risk of theft and spoilage. Buy only what will be used within a few months, store it securely and keep a stock register.
