Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

How to find your BEDC feeder and band in Akure, what Band A customers are owed, and how to take a complaint from BEDC to the Ondo regulator.
In Akure, a BEDC Band A feeder must deliver at least 20 hours of supply a day, and Band A customers pay ₦209.50 per kWh under NERC's July 2025 order for BEDC (ORDER/NERC/2025/060), which lists Akure feeders. If your feeder falls short or your band is wrong, complain to BEDC first; because oversight of Ondo's electricity market was transferred to the state, the next step is the Ondo State Electricity Regulatory Bureau rather than a NERC forum office.
Electricity in Akure is supplied by Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC). What you pay per unit and how many hours you are promised both depend on the band of the feeder that serves your street. This guide explains how bands work, how to find yours, what a Band A customer can demand, and the complaint route that applies in Ondo, which differs from most of Nigeria because the state now regulates its own electricity market.
A feeder is the line from an injection substation that serves a group of streets. NERC grades each feeder from Band A to Band E according to the average hours of supply it delivers. Every meter on that feeder takes the feeder's band. Band A carries the highest tariff because it is meant to carry the most reliable supply; Bands B to E were frozen at their December 2022 rates under the order.
| Band | Minimum supply promised | Non-MD (₦/kWh) | MD (₦/kWh) |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | 20 hours a day | 209.50 | 209.50 |
| B | 16 hours a day | 68.56 | 63.88 |
| C | 12 hours a day | 56.91 | 54.98 |
| D | 8 hours a day | 41.20 | 46.64 |
| E | 4 hours a day | 41.21 | 46.64 |
These figures come from NERC's July 2025 Supplementary Order for BEDC, effective 1 July 2025, which we read in October 2026 and which names feeders in Akure, Okitipupa and Ikere among others. There is also a life-line rate of ₦4.00 per kWh for residential customers using 50 kWh or less a month. MD means maximum demand: larger commercial and industrial users with demand meters. Most homes and small shops are non-MD.
Example only. A household buys 150 kWh a month. At the Band A rate that is 150 × ₦209.50 = ₦31,425. At the Band B non-MD rate it is 150 × ₦68.56 = ₦10,284. If the household is wrongly billed as Band A for three months, the difference is (₦31,425 − ₦10,284) × 3 = ₦63,423, before any VAT or charges shown on the receipt. That is the amount worth putting in writing when you complain.
In April 2024 NERC ordered the transfer of regulatory oversight of Ondo's intrastate electricity market to the Ondo State Electricity Regulatory Bureau (OSERB), Blueprint reported, with BEDC required to form a subsidiary licensed by the state regulator and transfers due by 22 October 2024. NERC's own metering factsheet, dated 13 October 2026, sets the usual escalation as distribution company, then NERC forum office, then appeal to NERC, and says that in states with their own regulator the second and third steps go to that regulator instead.
BEDC's 2024 complaints policy lists these channels: phone lines 0700 123 6660 and 0700 123 5553, email customercomplaints@beninelectric.com, the Customer Care Office at your local business unit, BEDC's website, and @beninelectric on X, Facebook and Instagram. Written complaints can go to The Managing Director, BEDC Electricity Plc, 5 Akpakpava Street, Benin City. The policy says each complaint is logged and you receive a ticket and acknowledgement. Always get that ticket number.
If BEDC does not resolve it, take your ticket number, supply log and receipts to OSERB. We could not find a published OSERB complaints page, phone number or address, so ask at the state government's offices in Alagbaka or through the contacts page on ondostate.gov.ng, and ask OSERB to confirm in writing how it handles feeder and billing complaints.
If you are still choosing a meter, see how to apply for a BEDC prepaid meter in Akure; for buying units, see every channel for BEDC tokens. Running a business in the state? Our guide to doing business in Ondo State covers power alongside tax and wages.
You can buy electricity units from the Pryme app on the electricity page, and every purchase keeps a receipt you can show BEDC or the regulator. If you need a receipt someone else can check has not been altered, Pryme's partnership with VerifyDoc.ai lets you generate a verifiable receipt.
Check the tariff or rate on your token receipt or bill, then ask BEDC customer care for the feeder name and band linked to your meter number. Band A in NERC's July 2025 order for BEDC is billed at ₦209.50 per kWh.
At least 20 hours a day on average. Band B is 16 hours, C is 12, D is 8 and E is 4.
Complain to BEDC first and get a ticket number. Because regulatory oversight of Ondo's market was transferred to the Ondo State Electricity Regulatory Bureau, escalate unresolved complaints there rather than to a NERC forum office.
Your band should reflect the hours your feeder delivers. If your log shows far less than 20 hours, file a complaint with the log and receipts and ask for a review of the feeder's band.
