Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

The 1099-NEC threshold is now $2,000. How an AI agent can collect W-9s, total contractor payments and prepare January filings for review.
For payments made after 31 December 2025, the IRS reporting threshold for Form 1099-NEC rose from $600 to $2,000, with inflation adjustments allowed from 2027. An AI agent can collect W-9s before the first payment, total each contractor's payments through the year, separate card payments that are reported elsewhere, and prepare the forms for your review before the January deadline.
The IRS states that nonemployee compensation reported on Form 1099-NEC, and rents and several other payments reported on Form 1099-MISC, must be reported when payments total $600, or $2,000 for payments made after 31 December 2025, during the calendar year. The IRS has also said the $2,000 figure may be adjusted for inflation for calendar years after 2026, and that the same threshold applies to backup withholding.
Two points are easy to miss. First, the change applies to payments made in 2026 onwards, so forms filed in early 2026 for 2025 payments still used $600. Second, a payment below the threshold is still taxable income for the person who received it. The threshold changes your reporting duty, not their tax.
| When | Task | Agent or person |
|---|---|---|
| Before first payment | Request Form W-9 and check the name and TIN are complete | Agent requests; person resolves mismatches |
| Every payment | Record payee, amount, method and what the payment was for | Agent |
| Each month | Total each payee's reportable payments; flag anyone near $2,000 | Agent |
| When a W-9 is missing | Stop and ask whether backup withholding applies | Person decides |
| December | List payees over the threshold and gaps in their details | Agent prepares; person reviews |
| By 31 January | File 1099-NEC with the IRS and furnish copies to recipients | Person signs off |
Form 1099-NEC is generally due to both the IRS and the recipient by 31 January. Check the current instructions each year, as dates move when they fall on a weekend.
Electronic filing is now the norm. The IRS requires businesses filing 10 or more information returns in total in a year to file them electronically, so even a small firm with a handful of contractors and employees may reach that count once W-2s are included. Check the current rule in the general instructions before January.
Each of these depends on facts the agent may not have, such as whether a payee is incorporated. The W-9 answers most of it, which is why collecting it first matters. Where the W-9 and the payment record disagree, for example a different business name on the invoice, the agent should ask the payee to confirm rather than choose one. Mismatched names and numbers are a common reason the IRS sends notices to payers.
Example only. A Texas marketing agency pays nine freelancers in 2026.
| Payee | Paid by | Total | Agent view |
|---|---|---|---|
| Designer A | Bank transfer | $14,200 | Reportable; W-9 on file |
| Copywriter B | Bank transfer | $1,850 | Below $2,000; not reportable unless more is paid |
| Developer C (LLC, taxed as S corp) | Bank transfer | $22,000 | W-9 shows corporation; likely exempt, person to confirm |
| Photographer D | Payment app | $3,400 | Reported on 1099-K by the app; excluded |
| Videographer E | Bank transfer | $6,000 | No W-9; raised to owner in March |
The owner sees one issue in March, not five in January: Videographer E's missing W-9.
Most 1099 problems in January come from records made in a hurry during the year: a payee name that does not match the W-9, a payment logged without saying what it was for, or a refund to a contractor that was never netted off. An agent that records each payment with the payee as named on the W-9, the invoice it settled and the method used makes the year-end list a report rather than a reconstruction.
Keep the W-9s themselves securely. They contain taxpayer identification numbers, often Social Security numbers for sole proprietors, and should be visible only to the people who need them. Ask any vendor where those documents are stored and who can open them.
The agent is useful here because the threshold is crossed gradually. Copywriter B is $150 short of $2,000; one more small job in December would make the payee reportable. An agent tracking running totals sees that in real time, whereas a once-a-year review might not.
Foreign contractors do not complete a W-9. They usually give you Form W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E instead, and different rules apply. See paying overseas contractors from the US.
On a Pryme Business account, the Finance agent records each payment with its purpose and payee, and the Compliance agent holds the January deadline and flags missing details rather than filling them in. Payments to contractors, including through bulk payouts, still need the approvals you set. Pryme does not file information returns or give tax advice. See also AI agents for US small businesses. For more on the principles behind this, see why a person stays in the loop on finance.
According to the IRS, it is $2,000 for payments made after 31 December 2025, and $600 for earlier payments. The IRS may adjust the $2,000 figure for inflation from 2027.
Generally not. Payments by card or through a payment network are reported by the payment settlement entity on Form 1099-K. Check the current IRS instructions.
You may be required to apply backup withholding. Ask your tax adviser before the next payment.
No. It can flag patterns that suggest employment, but classification is a legal question for you and your adviser.
