Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What a US small business should collect before paying a contractor abroad, how W-8BEN fits, and how an agent keeps records and approvals in order.
Before paying a contractor outside the US, collect a Form W-8BEN (for an individual) or W-8BEN-E (for an entity) instead of a W-9, keep a written agreement and invoices, and record what each payment was for. An AI agent can chase the forms, check details before payment and keep the file complete, but withholding questions, classification and local-law issues belong with your adviser.
A US person you pay gives you Form W-9, and you may report payments on Form 1099-NEC. A foreign person gives you a Form W-8 instead. The IRS describes Form W-8BEN as the form foreign individuals give to a withholding agent or payer to establish foreign status and, where relevant, claim treaty benefits. Foreign entities use Form W-8BEN-E. You keep the form; it is not sent to the IRS.
Whether any US tax must be withheld depends largely on where the work is performed. In general terms, payments to a nonresident alien for services performed entirely outside the US are not US-source income and are generally not subject to US withholding or 1099 reporting. Work performed in the US is different. The facts matter, so confirm the treatment with your adviser before the first payment.
| Document | Why you keep it | Agent's role |
|---|---|---|
| Signed agreement | Shows the relationship, scope, rates and IP ownership | Checks one exists before the first payment |
| Form W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E | Documents foreign status | Requests it; checks it is complete and signed; tracks expiry |
| Invoices | Support each payment | Matches each payment to an invoice |
| Location of work | Determines source of income | Records the contractor's stated location |
| Payment records | Proof of what was paid, when and in what currency | Records amount, rate and fees |
A Form W-8BEN generally remains in effect until the end of the third calendar year after it is signed, unless circumstances change. An agent can hold that date and request a fresh form in time.
An agent can help most by refusing to pay before the file is complete. A short rule works well: no first payment until the agreement and the correct W-8 form are on file and the contractor's stated location of work is recorded. After that, each payment must match an invoice. The rule is dull, and that is the point; the gaps it closes are the ones that become expensive to fix after a year of payments.
A contractor in another country is subject to that country's employment and tax rules as well as yours. If someone works only for you, full-time, under your direction, local law may treat them as an employee, with obligations you would not expect. This is a common risk for small US businesses building remote teams. An agent can flag patterns, such as fixed monthly pay for full-time hours over many months, but the classification decision needs local advice.
Sanctions are a separate check. US persons must not deal with people or places on the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control lists. Screening a new overseas contractor's name and country before the first payment, and when lists change, is a task an agent can do and log, with any possible match going to a person.
Contractors abroad care about two things: being paid on time and receiving the amount they invoiced. Paying in their own currency to local details usually costs them less than a dollar wire they must convert. If you hold a balance in that currency, you can also pay without converting at the moment of payment.
Example only. A US software company with five staff hires three contractors: a developer in Lagos, a designer in Manchester and a copywriter in Lisbon. Before the first payment run, the agent finds the Lisbon contractor's W-8BEN is unsigned and the Manchester designer has sent a W-9 by mistake. It requests the correct forms and holds both payments for the owner, explaining why.
On the 28th of each month, the agent prepares a batch: NGN to the developer, GBP to the designer and EUR to the copywriter, each matched to an invoice. The owner reviews the batch, the second approver signs off the total because it is above the threshold, and the payments go. The file for each contractor is complete without anyone assembling it in April.
In month seven, the agent notes that the Lagos developer has billed the same full-time monthly amount for seven months and works only for this company. It does not reclassify anyone; it raises the pattern so the owner can take local advice on whether an employer of record arrangement would be safer.
A Pryme Business account holds USD, GBP, EUR and NGN, so you can pay contractors in their currency through bulk payouts, converting on Swap only when you choose. The Compliance agent tracks forms and expiry dates; the Finance agent records each payment. Every batch needs the approvals you set. For Nigerian payees, see running payroll in Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya, and for domestic contractors, 1099-NEC at $2,000.
It is the usual way to document that an individual contractor is a foreign person. Entities use W-8BEN-E. Keep it on file; it is not sent to the IRS.
Generally not for a foreign person performing services entirely outside the US, but the facts matter. Confirm with your adviser.
Generally until the end of the third calendar year after the year it was signed, unless a change in circumstances makes it incorrect sooner.
Yes, under their local law, depending on how the work is organised. Take local advice if someone works for you full-time under your direction.
