Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

₦5 million sits right at the NDIC cover limit for a commercial bank. How to spread it by horizon, and which limits and withdrawal caps start to matter.
At ₦5 million, two limits start to matter: NDIC cover is ₦5,000,000 per depositor at a commercial bank and ₦2,000,000 at a microfinance bank, including accrued interest, and some funds cap how much you can withdraw online in a day. Spread the money by when you need it, across more than one institution, using insured deposits for short-term money and Treasury bills, money market funds or FGN bonds for longer horizons. This is information, not advice.
₦5 million is often a life-event sum: proceeds from selling a car or plot, a gratuity, savings for a house deposit or a relocation. It is large enough that the rules around safety and access, which hardly matter at ₦100,000, start shaping the choice. This guide sets out the options by time horizon and the specific limits that come into play.
The NDIC's FAQ sets deposit insurance at up to ₦5,000,000 per depositor at a commercial or non-interest bank and up to ₦2,000,000 at a microfinance bank. Three details in that FAQ matter at this size:
Deposit insurance is a safety net, not the only test of safety, but at this sum splitting cash across two licensed banks keeps every naira inside the cover.
| Horizon | Options | Key limit or rule |
|---|---|---|
| Under 3 months | Savings or current accounts at licensed banks | NDIC cover per depositor per bank |
| 3 to 12 months | Money market funds, Treasury bills, fixed deposits | Holding periods, auction rates, break costs |
| 1 to 5 years | Longer bills, FGN bonds, FGN savings bonds | Price moves if sold early, coupon dates |
| Beyond 5 years | Bonds, equities through registered brokers, voluntary pension | Volatility, tax rules, lock-in |
If part of the ₦5 million is for a payment in the next few weeks, such as a rent renewal or school fees, it belongs in a bank account where the transfer is immediate. Check your bank's daily transfer limit before the due date; large sums sometimes need a limit raised in advance.
Keep the paperwork for where the money came from, such as a sale agreement or gratuity letter. Banks may ask about the source of a large deposit, and having the documents ready avoids a frozen transfer at the moment you need it.
Money market funds suit money you can leave for a few months. At this size, read the withdrawal mechanics, not just the yield. The Stanbic IBTC Money Market Fund page, for example, lists online redemptions paid within two working days but capped at ₦2,500,000 a day, with branch redemptions paid within five working days. Its minimum is ₦5,000 and its management fee is 1.5% a year. The ARM Money Market Fund's September 2025 factsheet lists a 1.5% management fee and a 90-day minimum holding period.
Treasury bills are auctioned by the CBN, which posts current rates on its money market indicators page. Banks and dealers sell them; Parthian Partners' page says bills can also be sold before maturity over the counter. See how to buy Treasury bills in Nigeria.
Example only. Someone with ₦5,000,000 and monthly spending of ₦250,000 might keep six months (₦1,500,000) across two bank accounts, put ₦2,000,000 in a money market fund, and buy ₦1,500,000 of Treasury bills maturing at different dates so that a part comes due every few months. Total: ₦1,500,000 + ₦2,000,000 + ₦1,500,000 = ₦5,000,000. Each maturity is a chance to re-decide.
FGN bonds pay a fixed coupon and return the principal at maturity; if sold early, the price depends on the market. Our explainers on how FGN bonds work and FGN savings bonds set out the mechanics. For anyone wanting dollar exposure, the DMO's FAQ on the Domestic FGN US Dollar Bond (August 2024) set a minimum of US$10,000 for that issue, which may be beyond a ₦5 million budget depending on the rate.
Inflation is the yardstick for anything long term. The NBS reported headline inflation of 14.63% year on year for September 2026 (Voice of Nigeria, 16 October 2026). A return below that figure means the money buys less at the end.
Pryme's Naira Savings Boxes let you hold separate Flexible and Fixed Boxes for different dates. Naira deposits are held by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Ltd, licensed by the CBN and insured by the NDIC up to the applicable limit, which for a microfinance bank is lower than the commercial-bank cover, so bear that in mind when spreading a large sum.
Match each part to a horizon: insured bank deposits for near-term money, money market funds and Treasury bills for months, bonds for years. Spread across institutions and check licences.
At a commercial bank, deposits are covered up to ₦5,000,000 per depositor, including accrued interest. At a microfinance bank the cover is ₦2,000,000, according to the NDIC FAQ.
It depends on the product and the rate at the time. Check the CBN's money market indicators for current Treasury bill rates and each fund's latest published yield.
It depends on the fund. Stanbic IBTC's page caps online redemptions at ₦2,500,000 a day, with larger sums handled through a branch form.
