AI agents for business finance: what they can and can't do
What AI agents can do in bookkeeping, close, collections and compliance today, where a person must stay in charge, and how to judge a product.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

UBA's published *919# caps, the Tier 1 deposit and balance limits on Savings Lite, what UBA does not publish for the app and Leo, and how to raise yours.
On *919#, UBA's own USSD page (April 2026) caps PIN-authorised transfers at ₦20,000 per transaction and ₦100,000 a day, rising to ₦500,000 per transaction and ₦1,000,000 a day only with a Secure Pass token plus a signed indemnity. A Tier 1 Savings Lite account is also capped at ₦50,000 per deposit and ₦300,000 total balance. UBA does not publish app or Leo limits on the pages we checked, so confirm yours in the app or with the Customer Fulfilment Centre.
A failed UBA transfer that mentions a limit can be caused by three different ceilings: the cap on the channel you used, the cap that comes with your account tier, or a temporary security hold. Each has its own fix. This guide sets out the figures UBA publishes, flags where its own pages disagree, and explains what you can and cannot change.
UBA's *919# USSD banking page, last modified on 14 April 2026, carries a funds transfer table. It ties the limit to how you authorise the transfer:
| Authorisation | Per transaction | Per day |
|---|---|---|
| USSD PIN only | ₦20,000 | ₦100,000 |
| Secure Pass (token) | ₦20,000 | ₦100,000 |
| Secure Pass plus signed indemnity | ₦500,000 | ₦1,000,000 |
The same page has an FAQ that gives different numbers: it says PIN transfers are limited to ₦20,000 per transaction and per day, and that token holders without an indemnity can send ₦1 million per transaction and per day. It also gives an airtime limit of ₦5,000 a day in the FAQ but ₦20,000 a day elsewhere. UBA does not say which version is current. If you plan to send close to these figures, dial *919# and try a small amount first, or ask the bank which applies to your profile.
Separately from the channel, the CBN's three-tiered KYC framework (circular of January 2013) lets banks open low-documentation accounts with caps on deposits and balances. UBA's savings page labels Savings Lite as Tier 1: it opens with a passport photo, biodata and BVN, and is limited to a maximum single deposit of ₦50,000 and a maximum cumulative balance of ₦300,000. The standard UBA Savings Account is labelled Tier 3 and lists no balance cap.
A Tier 1 cap mostly bites on money coming in. If someone sends you ₦80,000 and your account is Savings Lite, the credit can fail even though your own transfer limits look fine. Our explainer on KYC tier limits in Nigeria covers how the tiers work across banks.
UBA's FAQ page (modified September 2026) lists Leo, the Mobile app, Internet Banking, *919# and ATMs as its digital channels, but neither it nor the USSD page states a daily transfer limit for the app or for Leo, the bank's chat banking assistant. We have not found an official figure, so we do not give one. To see yours:
Move off Tier 1. UBA's Tier 3 savings account lists a completed account opening form, a valid ID (international passport, driver's licence, NIN or voter's card), a recent passport photo and a utility bill from the last three months. Our guide to upgrading your UBA account tier walks through the steps.
Example only, using the PIN band in UBA's April 2026 table. You need to send ₦250,000 to another bank and only have *919# with your PIN. At ₦20,000 per transaction and ₦100,000 a day, that is 13 transfers (12 of ₦20,000 plus one of ₦10,000) spread over three days. UBA lists ₦20 + VAT for each transfer of ₦5,001 to ₦50,000 to another bank; at 7.5% VAT that is ₦21.50 each, so 13 × ₦21.50 = ₦279.50. Each transfer is also ₦10,000 or more, so the ₦50 stamp duty that applies from January 2026 is charged 13 times: ₦650. Total charges about ₦929.50, before the ₦6.98 per USSD session UBA lists for existing users (13 × ₦6.98 = ₦90.74). One app transfer of ₦250,000 would attract one transfer fee and one stamp duty instead.
Check the current fees in the app before you send. For how the ₦50 duty works, see the ₦50 transfer charge explained.
If you need to move larger sums from your phone without splitting them, a Pryme account shows your limit in the app before you send, and transfers are protected by an authenticator app and transaction PIN rather than SMS codes. Naira deposits are held by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank, licensed by the CBN.
UBA's *919# page (April 2026) lists ₦100,000 a day with a PIN, at ₦20,000 per transaction, and ₦1,000,000 a day with a token plus indemnity. Its FAQ gives a lower PIN figure, so confirm on the menu.
UBA's table shows the higher band needs a Secure Pass token and a signed indemnity. Ask the Customer Fulfilment Centre or a branch to set these up.
UBA's savings page lists a ₦300,000 maximum cumulative balance and a ₦50,000 maximum single deposit for Savings Lite, which it labels Tier 1.
UBA does not publish one on the pages we checked in October 2026. Look in the app's limit settings, ask Leo, or call 02-012808822.
