Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Money sent from Canada has not reached Nigeria. What normally causes the hold, how long to wait, and who to contact first so it gets fixed.
Most delays on a Canada to Nigeria transfer come from one of three places: the provider holding it for a compliance review, the way you paid for it, or the receiving Nigerian bank or wallet. Contact the provider you paid first, with your transfer reference, because it is the only party that can see where the money sits; the recipient's bank in Nigeria can only check what has arrived.
You pressed send, the app took your Canadian dollars, and your family in Lagos or Enugu says nothing has landed. Before you call anyone, it helps to know where a transfer can stop, because each stop has a different owner and a different fix.
A transfer from Canada to a Nigerian account passes through three stages. Knowing which stage you are at tells you who to call.
| Stage | What happens | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Funding | Your card, bank debit or Interac e-Transfer is collected | You and the provider |
| 2. Review and conversion | The provider checks the transfer and converts CAD to naira | Only the provider |
| 3. Payout | Naira is credited to the bank account, wallet or pickup point in Nigeria | Provider and receiving bank |
Remitly's own Canada to Nigeria page, viewed in October 2026, says delivery times "may vary depending on payment method, delivery method, transaction review, and system availability". That list is a useful map for any provider: the first two items are on the Canadian side, the last two can be on either side.
Money services businesses in Canada must register with FINTRAC and run a compliance programme, according to FINTRAC's page on money services businesses (modified October 2025). In practice this means some transfers are paused while the provider checks identity, the purpose of the payment or where the money came from. A first transfer, a larger than usual amount or a new recipient are typical triggers. The app usually shows a status such as "in review" or sends an email asking for documents. Nothing moves until you answer, so check your inbox and spam folder first.
Some payment methods take longer to settle than others. If the provider has not received your money, it has nothing to send. Remitly's page describes a faster "Express" option when paying by debit or credit card where available, which tells you that the bank-account route can be slower. Check your Canadian bank or card statement to confirm the debit has gone through.
A wrong digit in a 10-digit NUBAN, a bank picked from the wrong list or a name that does not match the account can cause the payout to be rejected. Nigerian transfers between banks run on NIBSS Instant Payment, which, according to NIBSS's page (modified April 2026), includes a name enquiry that lets the sending institution check the beneficiary's details against the account number before sending. A mismatch at this point usually stops the payment rather than sending it elsewhere. See why a name mismatch makes a transfer fail.
Banks and wallets in Nigeria sometimes have outages. Where this is the cause, the provider typically retries or holds the payout until the receiving system is back.
This is a different problem. It means the provider believes the naira left its hands. The receiving bank or wallet needs the session ID or payout reference to find it. Our guide on an app saying delivered when nothing is in the account covers that case. The Nigeria-side view of returned and delayed foreign transfers is in The Ledger's explainer.
Ask the provider for its complaints process in writing. Remitly's page says transfers "will be delivered on time or we'll refund your fees", without giving the conditions on that page, so ask the provider how its own promise applies to your transfer. If you paid through a Canadian bank and the bank itself is the problem, the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI) can review a complaint once a bank has had 56 calendar days without giving a final response, according to OBSI's own page. Remittance apps are not banks, so ask the app which complaints body, if any, it belongs to. If you think the delay is a scam, read how to report it to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
Pryme is a technology company, not a bank. Outside Nigeria, its activities are carried out through regulated partners, and Naira deposits are held by a licensed Nigerian microfinance bank, regulated by the CBN and insured by the NDIC up to the applicable limit. When you send with Pryme Send, the app shows the rate and the fee before you approve, and each transfer has a reference you can share with the recipient. Holding money in more than one currency is covered on the multicurrency account page.
Check the time the app quoted when you sent. If that time has passed and the status has not changed, contact the provider. Delays often come from a review that needs your reply.
Only once the money has been paid out. Ask the provider for a payout reference or session ID first, then give it to the bank.
Providers registered with FINTRAC must run compliance checks. A review usually means they want to confirm your identity, the purpose or the source of the money. Answer any request quickly.
If it cannot be delivered, providers normally return it. How and at what rate depends on the provider's terms; see our guide on refunds for failed transfers.

Send online, in the app or at an agent in Canada to a naira account in Nigeria. The recipient details and ID Western Union asks for, Oct 2026.
Western Union's Canada page offered a $0 fee on the first online transfer in Oct 2026, with rates and fees varying by how you pay and are paid.
You can add the other type later — many of our customers hold both.
