Ten years, one trunk

The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.

2016E-commerce

2018OjirehPrime Card

2020Microfinance bank

2023Multicurrency

More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.

2026Agentic operations

Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.

Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

T2 (9mobile) data plans and where to see current prices

How T2 (9mobile) data plans are structured, sample prices from T2's own page as at October 2026, and where to check the live price before you buy.

The short answer

T2 (formerly 9mobile) sells daily, weekly and monthly data plans; you see the live list by dialling *312#, the NCC's universal data-plan code, or on T2's data page. As at October 2026, T2's page showed a 650MB daily plan at ₦200 and a 7GB weekly plan at ₦1,500, but prices change, so check before you buy.

How T2 data plans are structured

Like every Nigerian network, T2 sorts its data into bundles by validity: daily plans, weekly plans and monthly plans, plus special products. Its data page also describes Family Share (one account allocating data to several numbers), a multi-device plan and data gifting. Bundles bought with airtime are deducted from your main balance at the price shown when you confirm.

Prices on Nigerian networks moved sharply in early 2025, after the NCC approved tariff adjustments of up to 50% in January that year (as reported by TechCabal), so any list you find on a blog may be out of date. The safest habit is to read the price on the purchase screen itself.

Where to see the current price

  1. *312# from your T2 line. This is the NCC universal code for data plans on all networks. The menu shows each plan, its price and validity before you confirm.
  2. T2's data page on 9mobile.com.ng/data, which lists featured plans and offers.
  3. The app you pay with. Bank and fintech apps that sell T2 data show the plan list they are offered; it should match T2's own prices, but check the bundle size and validity on the confirmation screen.
  4. Customer care on 300 if a price shown in an app differs from *312#.

Sample prices as at October 2026

These are the figures shown on T2's data page when we checked in October 2026. They are a snapshot, not a full price list.

PlanPrice (₦)What T2's page says about it
650MB daily plan200Buy it up to 5 times in a week and get 3.17GB bonus data for the weekend
7GB weekly plan1,500Buy it twice in a week and get 14GB bonus data for the weekend

The page also mentions monthly offers tied to spending ₦1,500 and above or ₦5,000 and above, but does not list every monthly plan with a price. Use *312# for the monthly options available to your line today.

Worked comparison

Example using the October 2026 snapshot, ignoring bonuses. Buying the 650MB daily plan every day for 28 days costs 28 × ₦200 = ₦5,600 for about 18.2GB in total (28 × 650MB), roughly ₦308 per GB. Buying the 7GB weekly plan four times costs 4 × ₦1,500 = ₦6,000 for 28GB, about ₦214 per GB. The daily plan only wins if you would not use most of the weekly data; unused daily allowance is lost each day.

Choosing the right plan size

The cheapest plan is the one that matches how much you actually use. Before choosing, find your real figure:

  1. Open your phone's data usage screen (Settings, then Network or Connections, then Data usage on Android; Settings, Mobile Data on iPhone).
  2. Note the total mobile data used in the last 30 days, and which apps used most.
  3. If one app dominates, usually video or social media, check whether lowering its video quality would cut your need.
  4. Pick the plan whose size covers that figure with a small margin and whose validity matches when you use data.

If your usage is uneven, heavy at weekends and light in the week, a weekly plan bought only when needed may cost less than a monthly plan that expires half used.

Other T2 data features

Family Share
Activated with *917#, then a plan is bought and shared; allocation uses *229*9*PIN*data quota*recipient's number*3#, according to T2's data page
Data gifting
Dial the plan code with the recipient's number; T2's example for a 1GB gift is *229*2*7*recipient's number#
Data transfer
*321*2#, as listed on T2's data page
Sharing and transfer menu
*301#
Free YouTube offer
The older 9mobile homepage advertised free YouTube streaming with data bundles; we could not confirm whether it still runs

If you want to stop an auto-renewing plan or any subscription, the NCC's universal stop code is 305.

Before you buy

  • Check your current bundle with *323# so you do not buy over an unexpired plan by mistake.
  • Read the validity on the confirmation screen: "weekly" is seven days from purchase, not the calendar week.
  • If coverage is weak where you live, a bigger bundle will not fix slow data; see T2 data fixes.
  • Compare with your actual monthly use in your phone's data usage settings before choosing a plan size.

Where Pryme fits

From the Pryme app you can buy data for a T2 number, yours or a relative's, choosing from the plan list shown at the time of purchase (airtime and data). For a regular plan, a Personal Assistant can prepare the renewal for you to approve. Read how to stop wasting money on data for more ways to cut cost.

Questions people ask

How do I see 9mobile data plans?

Dial *312# from your T2 (9mobile) line, the NCC's universal data-plan code. It lists current plans with price and validity.

How much is 9mobile 1GB?

T2's page did not list a standalone 1GB price when checked in October 2026. Dial *312# to see today's options; the page's examples were 650MB daily for ₦200 and 7GB weekly for ₦1,500.

Does T2 have weekend bonus data?

T2's data page describes bonus weekend data for buying some daily and weekly plans several times in a week. Check the conditions before relying on it.

Can I share my 9mobile data with family?

Yes, through Family Share, activated with *917# according to T2's page. You can also gift or transfer data; *321*2# is listed for data transfer.
