Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

The price on the car is only the start. How to budget for registration, insurance and repairs, and save for a car in cash instead of an expensive loan.
Set a target that includes the car price plus registration, insurance, an inspection and a repair buffer, then save that amount monthly in a separate pot and buy only when the pot is full. Saving in cash usually costs less than a car loan and gives you more room to negotiate.
A car goal is often set by the car you want rather than the car you need. Before you pick a figure, answer three questions: what will you use it for, how many kilometres a week, and who will maintain it. A reliable used car that suits your commute is a smaller, faster goal than a newer model, and the difference can be months of saving.
Used imported cars and locally used cars carry different risks. An imported car has no Nigerian history, while a locally used car may have one you can check with the seller and a mechanic. Whichever you choose, budget for an independent inspection before you pay.
The asking price is the largest line, but not the only one. Build your target from all of these.
The running buffer is the line most buyers skip. A car that drains your account every month is not a finished goal. Before you commit, estimate your weekly fuel spend for your actual route, add a monthly amount for servicing, and ask yourself whether your budget can carry both on top of everything else. If it cannot, the right car may be a smaller one, or the right goal may be to keep using public transport and ride-hailing for another year while you save more.
Each option changes the target. A new car costs the most but comes with a warranty and a known history. A foreign used car is often cheaper for its age but may need parts sooner. A Nigerian used car is usually the cheapest to buy and the easiest to inspect in person, but its condition depends on how it was driven on local roads. Price all three for the same model before you fix your savings figure.
Ask for quotes for insurance and registration before you settle on a model, because they vary with the car's value and type.
| Line (example figures) | Amount |
|---|---|
| Car price | ₦7,500,000 |
| Registration and documents | ₦250,000 |
| Insurance (first year) | ₦300,000 |
| Inspection and first repairs | ₦450,000 |
| Total target | ₦8,500,000 |
| Already saved | ₦1,300,000 |
| Still to save | ₦7,200,000 |
| Months to goal | 18 |
| Monthly saving | ₦400,000 |
Prices of imported goods move with the exchange rate, so a car priced today may cost more when you are ready. Review your target every three months and adjust the monthly figure. If you are falling behind, a cheaper model or a longer timeline is safer than borrowing the gap.
Lenders' rates follow the wider interest rate environment. The CBN's Monetary Policy Rate was set at 23% at the September 2026 meeting, and lenders generally price consumer loans above the policy rate. On a large loan over several years, the interest can add a meaningful share to the price of the car.
| Saving in cash | Car loan | |
|---|---|---|
| Total cost | Price only | Price plus interest and fees |
| Negotiating power | Strong: you can pay today | Weaker: the lender's process sets timing |
| Risk if income falls | You delay the purchase | You still owe repayments |
| Time to get the car | Longer | Shorter |
If you do borrow, compare the full cost rather than the monthly payment. Our explainer on APR vs flat fee shows how to compare loans fairly.
When the pot is full, do not let the size of the balance change the plan. Buyers who have saved hard sometimes stretch to a more expensive car on the day, then have nothing left for insurance or repairs. Spend the price line on the car and keep the other lines for what they were saved for. If you are saving for several things at once, read why separate savings pots work.
You can keep a dedicated car Savings Box in naira in the Pryme app. A Fixed Box locks the money until a date you set; a Flexible Box suits the inspection and deposit money you may need on short notice. Rates are shown in the app first. When you buy, send the payment by transfer and keep the receipt, which you can generate as a verifiable receipt through Pryme's partnership with VerifyDoc.ai.
Add the price to registration, insurance, inspection, first repairs and a running buffer. Then divide what you still need by the months to your target date.
Cash usually costs less overall and gives you more negotiating power. A loan gets you the car sooner but adds interest and repayments even if your income falls.
That is about ₦417,000 a month. If that is too much, extend the timeline or choose a cheaper model rather than borrowing the gap.
Check the vehicle papers match the seller and the car, and have an independent mechanic inspect it before you pay.
