Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

An SA will can name Nigerian property, but Nigerian courts deal with land in Nigeria. Why a second, Nigerian will often helps, and the drafting risk.
A South African will can mention property in Nigeria, but land in Nigeria is administered under Nigerian law through a Nigerian probate registry, which will want a will it can prove locally. Many Nigerians in South Africa therefore make two wills: an SA will for South African assets and a Nigerian will for Nigerian assets, each limited to its own country so that neither revokes the other.
Your South African will is not invalid in Nigeria simply because it was made abroad, but it is not the easiest document for your family to use there. Land and buildings are generally dealt with under the law of the place where they are, and in Nigeria that means a grant of probate or letters of administration from a state High Court probate registry. A will written for South African formalities, held by a South African executor and possibly requiring certified, authenticated copies, slows that process. The American Bar Association's Probate and Property journal (July/August 2025) describes why lawyers often use separate wills for assets in different countries: each will is administered in its own country without a second, ancillary probate.
The Trusted Advisors' summary on Mondaq (August 2024) sets out the core elements under the Wills Act 1837 and state Wills Laws:
The article does not cover wills signed outside Nigeria, depositing a will with a probate registry or limits under Islamic law. If you are Muslim or your family follows customary inheritance, ask a Nigerian lawyer how that affects what a will can do.
Most wills open with "I revoke all former wills". Irwin Mitchell's July 2026 note describes how that standard clause can revoke a will in another country if it is not limited, citing a case where a later home-made will appeared to revoke an English will. The fix is in the drafting:
| Clause | SA will | Nigerian will |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | Covers assets in South Africa (and elsewhere except Nigeria) | Covers assets in Nigeria only |
| Revocation | Revokes earlier wills only so far as they deal with the same assets | Same, limited to Nigerian assets |
| Recognition | States that a separate Nigerian will exists and is not revoked | States that the SA will exists and is not revoked |
| Executor | Someone able to act in South Africa | Someone able to act in Nigeria |
| Residue | Residue of SA estate only | Residue of Nigerian estate only |
The ABA article adds that residuary clauses in the two wills must not conflict, and that coordinating lawyers in both countries reduces the chance of gaps. Our all-country guide one will or two goes through the same problem for other countries.
If any South African document is needed in Nigeria, note that South Africa is a party to the Apostille Convention but Nigeria is not on the HCCH status table, so documents usually need authentication and legalisation instead of an apostille. Our guide to executing a Nigerian will while abroad covers the practical steps.
You do not need to panic or tear it up. An existing SA will that mentions your Lagos flat still records what you wanted, and a Nigerian court can be asked to prove it, but your executor may need certified copies of the will and of the South African grant, authenticated for use in Nigeria, and a Nigerian lawyer to apply locally. That takes time and money while the property sits unmanaged and rent goes uncollected. The cleaner route is to make a Nigerian will for the Nigerian assets and, at the same time, have your SA lawyer amend the SA will so that it excludes them and recognises the new one. Signing both in the same period, with each lawyer seeing the other's draft, avoids the revocation trap.
If you die without any will that covers Nigerian property, the estate passes under the intestacy rules that apply to you in Nigeria, which can depend on the state, the type of marriage and, for some families, customary or Islamic law. That is often not what people expect, especially for spouses and daughters, which is the strongest reason to write a Nigerian will.
Some Nigerian assets follow their own rules. For an RSA pension, PenCom's 2023 FAQ says a deceased member's balance is paid to the executors of a will or to an administrator appointed by the Probate Registry, so the will and the RSA's beneficiary details should agree. Bank accounts, shares held through a registrar and jointly owned land may each need their own steps, so list them for your Nigerian executor.
Pryme does not write wills. What helps your executors is a clear record: any Pryme customer can generate a verifiable statement through VerifyDoc.ai, which anyone can check is genuine and unaltered (receipts), and security settings such as the authenticator app keep the account protected in the meantime.
It is not void, but Nigerian land is administered through a Nigerian probate registry, so a separate Nigerian will limited to Nigerian assets is usually easier for your family.
Yes. A standard clause revoking all former wills can cancel the other one. Each will should be limited to its own assets and recognise the other.
At least two, who sign in the testator's presence and each other's, and who are not beneficiaries.
Nigeria is not a party to the Apostille Convention, so SA documents generally need authentication and Nigerian mission legalisation.
