Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

An SA tax resident selling Nigerian property reports the gain to SARS, and Nigeria may tax it too. How the R50,000 exclusion and treaty credit work.
If you are tax resident in South Africa, SARS taxes your worldwide capital gains, including a gain on a house in Nigeria; for 2026/27 the annual exclusion is R50,000 and the maximum effective CGT rate for individuals is 18% (Budget 2026 Tax Guide). Nigeria may also tax the gain because the property is there, and under Article 22 of the South Africa-Nigeria tax treaty SARS deducts the Nigerian tax from the South African tax on that gain, up to the South African tax on it.
Two countries have a claim. Article 13(1) of the South Africa-Nigeria agreement (in force 5 July 2008, applying from 1 January 2009) says gains from alienating immovable property may be taxed in the state where the property is situated, so Nigeria may tax the sale of a house in Enugu or a flat in Lekki. South Africa taxes its residents on worldwide income, and the Budget 2026 Tax Guide states that foreign taxes on foreign-sourced income are generally credited against South African tax.
The treaty does not stop South Africa taxing you; it stops you paying twice in full. Article 22 says Nigerian tax paid by a South African resident on income taxable in Nigeria is deducted from the South African tax, but the deduction cannot exceed the South African tax attributable to that income.
Whether you are resident for SARS purposes is the first question, and it is a question of fact under SARS's residence tests; our guide to the SARS residence test for Nigerians covers it. If you are resident when you sell, the gain goes on your return for that year.
The primary residence exclusion is for the residence you ordinarily live in; a house in Nigeria that family occupies while you live in Pretoria is unlikely to qualify, but confirm the facts with a registered tax practitioner. The gain is calculated in rand; SARS has specific rules on translating foreign-currency costs and proceeds, and your practitioner should apply them rather than a single rate of the day.
Under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025, chargeable gains are no longer taxed at a flat 10%; PwC's Nigeria summary (reviewed May 2026) says they are included in total income and taxed at the individual rates of 0% to 25%. Income and gains of a non-resident that are derived from Nigeria are chargeable (section 17(1), as summarised by Nolands on Mondaq, September 2026), and non-residents file with the Nigeria Revenue Service. Whether a non-resident gets the benefit of the zero band on a gain is not settled on the pages we read; ask a Nigerian tax adviser before you sign the sale agreement.
Keep evidence of what you paid, your improvements and the legal fees on purchase and sale, in both currencies. For the Nigerian rules in more depth, read capital gains tax in Nigeria after the Nigeria Tax Act 2025.
Assume a house is sold and the net gain, correctly converted to rand, is R600,000, and you have no other gains that year.
| Step | Amount |
|---|---|
| Net gain in rand | R600,000 |
| Less annual exclusion | R50,000 |
| Gain after exclusion | R550,000 |
| South African tax at the maximum effective 18% | R99,000 |
| Nigerian tax paid on the gain (assumed, converted) | R70,000 |
| South African tax still due after the Article 22 credit | R29,000 |
Here the Nigerian tax is lower than the South African tax, so the credit is the full R70,000. Had the Nigerian tax been R120,000, the credit would stop at R99,000 and nothing more would be due in South Africa, but the extra R21,000 would not be refunded. The 18% is a ceiling; at a lower marginal rate the South African tax is less.
The size of the gain depends on what you can prove. A house bought fifteen years ago for cash, with no receipt, a builder paid in instalments and a family member who handled the paperwork is hard to document, and an undocumented cost cannot be deducted. Gather what you can before you list the property:
If you inherited the property or received it as a gift, the base cost rules differ and your practitioner will need the date and value at which you acquired it.
Timing can change who taxes the gain. Selling after you have ceased South African tax residence is not the same as selling while resident, and ceasing residence has tax consequences of its own. Read ceasing SA tax residence when moving back to Nigeria and take advice before you choose a sale date.
A Pryme naira account, opened from South Africa, can receive sale proceeds in Nigeria and hold them in naira until you decide to convert; Swap shows the rate and the fee before you approve (Swap). A verifiable statement from VerifyDoc.ai can support your records of the receipt (verifiable statements).
If you are SA tax resident when you sell, yes: residents are taxed on worldwide gains. The R50,000 annual exclusion applies and the maximum effective rate for individuals is 18% in 2026/27.
Yes. The treaty lets the country where the property sits tax the gain. South Africa then credits the Nigerian tax, up to the South African tax on that gain.
Only if it is your primary residence, the home you ordinarily live in. A house family uses while you live in South Africa is unlikely to qualify; check the facts with a tax practitioner.
Under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025, PwC says individuals' chargeable gains are included in total income and taxed at 0% to 25%, not the old flat 10%.

SARS's TFSA rules say nothing about nationality, so the provider's onboarding decides. Limits for 2026/27: R46,000 a year and R500,000 for life.
Foreign nationals in SA retirement funds can use the two-pot savings withdrawal like anyone else: minimum R2,000, once a tax year, taxed at marginal rate.
