You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Which GST/HST rate an online store charges when it ships across Canada, how place-of-supply rules work, and how an AI agent applies the right rate.
A Canadian online store registered for GST/HST generally charges the rate of the province where the goods are delivered, not where the business is based: 5% GST in provinces without HST, and HST of 13% to 15% in the participating provinces. An AI agent can apply the rate from each delivery address and reconcile tax collected by province. You remain responsible for the return.
A small business in Alberta that ships a parcel to Nova Scotia does not charge Alberta's tax. That surprises many new online sellers, and it is the main reason GST/HST on e-commerce goes wrong. This article explains the general rule and how an agent applies it order by order. It is general information; the CRA's place-of-supply guidance has the details.
The federal Goods and Services Tax is 5%. Five provinces have harmonised their sales tax with it into a single Harmonized Sales Tax. According to the CRA's rate table, the HST is 13% in Ontario, 14% in Nova Scotia, and 15% in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island. The other provinces and the territories charge 5% GST only, though British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Quebec have their own separate provincial sales taxes, administered provincially.
| Delivered to | GST/HST rate | Separate provincial tax to check |
|---|---|---|
| Alberta, territories | 5% GST | None |
| British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba | 5% GST | Provincial sales tax |
| Quebec | 5% GST | Quebec sales tax (QST), Revenu Québec |
| Ontario | 13% HST | None |
| Nova Scotia | 14% HST | None |
| New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, PEI | 15% HST | None |
For goods sold and delivered within Canada, the place of supply is generally the province where the goods are delivered or made available to the buyer. If you ship a parcel to a customer's address, that is usually the province whose rate applies. If the customer collects from your shop, the shop's province usually applies. Services and intangible products have their own rules, generally based on the customer's address.
Provincial sales taxes in BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Quebec are separate regimes. Out-of-province sellers can have registration obligations there too, depending on their sales. Check each province's own rules.
Example: a Calgary skincare brand, registered for GST/HST, sells C$100,000 of goods online in a quarter. Deliveries break down as C$40,000 to Alberta, C$35,000 to Ontario, C$15,000 to Nova Scotia and C$10,000 to BC. Tax collected should be C$2,000 GST on Alberta orders, C$4,550 HST on Ontario orders, C$2,100 HST on Nova Scotia orders and C$500 GST on BC orders, a total of C$9,150. The agent's reconciliation finds that 12 Ontario orders were charged 5% because the checkout used the billing address. It shows the C$308 shortfall, the orders, and the fix to the checkout rule. The owner decides how to correct it and the accountant advises on the return.
If the CRA asks why an order carried 5% rather than 13%, the answer is in the order record. For each sale, keep the delivery address, the province used for tax, the rate applied, the tax amount, and whether the customer collected in person. Keep refund and credit records linked to the original order, because a refund reverses the tax at the rate originally charged. An agent can store these fields automatically and produce a by-province summary for each reporting period, which is also the quickest way to spot a checkout setting that has gone wrong. It is far easier to keep this from the first sale than to rebuild it from payment processor exports later.
A business is generally a small supplier, and not required to register for GST/HST, while its taxable sales stay at or below C$30,000 over four consecutive calendar quarters, as RC4022 explains. Many online sellers register voluntarily so they can claim input tax credits. Once registered, the rate rules above apply to every sale.
The Pryme Finance agent reconciles sales, tax and bank records, and every figure traces to a source document. The Customer Support agent answers delivery and refund questions from your own policies. Pryme accounts hold USD, GBP, EUR and NGN, not Canadian dollars, which suits stores that also sell abroad; for US orders see US sales tax for Canadian sellers. Generally the province where the goods are delivered. A parcel shipped to Ontario carries 13% HST even if your business is in Alberta.
No HST applies there; GST at 5% applies, and those provinces have separate provincial sales taxes with their own registration rules.
Not while you are a small supplier, with taxable sales at or below C$30,000 over four consecutive calendar quarters. Many sellers register voluntarily.
It can find the orders and calculate the difference. How to correct it, with customers and on the return, is a decision for you and your accountant.
