You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

When self-employed Canadians must pay income tax by instalments, the dates, the three ways to calculate them, and how an AI agent keeps cash set aside.
Self-employed Canadians generally have to pay income tax by quarterly instalments if their net tax owing is more than C$3,000 (C$1,800 in Quebec) in the current year and in either of the two previous years. Instalments are due on 15 March, 15 June, 15 September and 15 December. An AI agent can calculate the options, set cash aside from each payment received, and remind you, while you choose the method and approve each payment.
Employees have tax taken from every pay cheque. Sole proprietors and other self-employed people do not, so the tax builds up through the year. The CRA's instalment system spreads the payments out. People who are new to self-employment are often caught by it in their second or third year, when the CRA's reminders start arriving. This article explains the rules in general terms and shows how an agent helps. It is not tax advice.
According to the CRA's guidance on paying by instalments, you generally have to pay instalments if your net tax owing is more than C$3,000 in the current year and was more than C$3,000 in either of the two previous years. In Quebec the threshold is C$1,800, because Quebec residents pay provincial income tax to Revenu Québec separately.
Net tax owing is broadly the tax left to pay after amounts already withheld. For a self-employed person with no other income, that is often most of the year's tax.
| Instalment | Due date |
|---|---|
| First | 15 March |
| Second | 15 June |
| Third | 15 September |
| Fourth | 15 December |
Separately, self-employed individuals generally have until 15 June to file their return, but any balance owing is due by 30 April, as the CRA's guidance for sole proprietors explains. Interest on a late balance runs from 1 May.
The right option depends on how stable your income is. That choice is yours, ideally with your accountant.
Self-employed people pay both halves of CPP. For 2026, the combined rate is 11.9% on earnings between C$3,500 and C$74,600, up to C$8,460.90, plus CPP2 at 8% on earnings between C$74,600 and C$85,000, up to C$832, according to the CRA figures reported for 2026. These are paid with the income tax return, and they are often forgotten when people budget for tax.
Where income arrives in US dollars or other currencies, the agent should convert each receipt to Canadian dollars at a recorded rate for the estimate, because your tax is calculated in Canadian dollars. A strong or weak month for the exchange rate changes the tax as well as the income.
The reserve is the part that changes behaviour. Tax is easier to pay when the money was set aside the day the client paid, not found in December.
Example: a Saskatoon IT consultant had net tax owing of C$9,000 for 2025 and C$7,500 for 2024, so instalments apply in 2026. Under the prior-year option she would pay C$2,250 each quarter. Her agent estimates 2026 income will be about 20% lower after losing a client, so it shows the current-year option at about C$1,800 a quarter, with a note that underestimating can bring instalment interest. She chooses the no-calculation option, paying what the CRA reminders ask. The agent sets aside 30% of each client payment, a rate she chose with her accountant, and in April shows that the reserve covers the expected balance and her CPP.
Choosing an instalment method, estimating income for the current-year option, and deciding whether to pay a reminder amount you disagree with are judgement calls. So is anything to do with incorporating. The CRA can charge instalment interest and, in some cases, a penalty for late or insufficient instalments. The agent can show the numbers; the decision and the payment are yours.
The Pryme Finance agent holds the cash position, releases payments only below the line you set, and traces every figure to a source. The Compliance agent keeps the dates in its obligations register, and the Chief of Staff puts a payment due this week in the morning brief. Pryme accounts hold USD, GBP, EUR and NGN, not Canadian dollars, so they suit consultants paid by foreign clients. See AI agents for Canadian agencies with US clients.
Many do. Instalments are generally required when net tax owing is over C$3,000 (C$1,800 in Quebec) in the current year and either of the previous two years.
