Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Your Nigerian client withheld tax from your fee. How to get the receipt, report the gross fee in Canada and claim a foreign tax credit within the limits.
A Nigerian company paying you, a non-resident, for consultancy or professional services generally withholds 10% and for non-residents that is a final Nigerian tax, per PwC's Nigeria summary reviewed 29 May 2026. In Canada you report the gross fee and may claim a foreign tax credit for the Nigerian tax, limited to the lesser of the tax withheld and the Canadian tax on that income, as long as you hold the withholding receipt. Tax withheld above any rate the Canada-Nigeria treaty allows is not creditable.
Nigeria collects income tax from many service providers at source. Under the Deduction of Tax at Source (Withholding) Regulations 2024, effective 1 July 2024, the payer deducts a percentage of the fee and remits it to the tax authority. The rates PwC summarises for commission, consultancy, technical, management and professional fees are:
| Recipient | Rate | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Nigerian resident | 5% | Advance tax, credited against final liability |
| Non-resident (you, in Canada) | 10% | Final tax in Nigeria for non-residents |
Deductors are companies, government bodies and similar organisations; individuals are not required to deduct, so a private person paying you may pay in full. The regulations also let small companies skip deduction on small transactions where the supplier has a valid tax ID. Nigeria's tax laws were overhauled in 2025, so confirm the rate has not changed before you price a contract. Our Nigeria library explains the 2024 rules in withholding tax on invoices and getting credit notes back.
Under the 2024 regulations the deductor issues a receipt showing the recipient, the nature of the payment, the gross amount, the tax deducted and the period. For a non-resident, the receipt does not reduce any Nigerian tax bill, because the deduction is final. Its value is in Canada: the CRA's foreign tax credit folio (S5-F2-C1, paragraph 1.45) says that for tax withheld at source, a copy of the foreign tax slip is usually enough evidence. Without it, a claim is hard to support.
Example only, with a made-up rate. You invoice a Lagos firm ₦5,000,000 for consulting. It withholds 10%, ₦500,000, and pays you ₦4,500,000. Your chosen rate source gives ₦1,000 to CA$1 on the payment date.
| Item | Naira | CAD |
|---|---|---|
| Gross fee reported | 5,000,000 | 5,000 |
| Nigerian tax withheld | 500,000 | 500 |
| Cash received | 4,500,000 | 4,500 |
If your Canadian tax on that CA$5,000 of foreign income works out above CA$500, the credit can be the full CA$500. If it works out at, say, CA$420, the credit is capped at CA$420 and the other CA$80 is not credited. The Canadian tax on the income depends on your total income and province.
Canada and Nigeria signed a tax convention in Abuja on 4 August 1992, in force from 16 November 1999. Treaties can limit what the source country may tax. The CRA's folio (paragraph 1.35) says that if tax is withheld above the rate a Canadian treaty allows, the excess is not foreign tax paid, and you should seek a refund from the foreign authority, here Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS). Read the treaty's articles on business profits and services before assuming the 10% is creditable in full; this is where a cross-border accountant earns their fee.
The credit can only reduce Canadian tax on the same foreign income. In a year when your business makes a loss, or your total income is low enough that little Canadian tax is due, part of the Nigerian deduction may go unused, and non-business-income tax cannot be carried to a later year. That is a reason to price Nigerian work with the deduction in mind rather than counting on getting it back.
Decide whether your quote is gross or net. If you need ₦5,000,000 in hand, the gross fee is ₦5,000,000 / 0.9 = ₦5,555,556 (rounded), from which 10% (₦555,556) is withheld. Put the choice in the contract. See invoicing Nigerian clients in naira or CAD and tax on Nigerian client income.
Matching invoices, payments and withholding receipts is easier when client money arrives in one business account. A Pryme Business Account, opened from Canada, can receive naira from Nigerian clients, and the Finance agent can prepare a reconciliation that flags payments arriving short of the invoice so you can chase the receipt. A person approves anything above the ceiling you set.
PwC's Nigeria summary (reviewed 29 May 2026) gives 10% for non-residents, final tax, under the 2024 regulations. Check whether the 2025 tax laws have changed it.
Usually as a foreign tax credit, limited to the lesser of the Nigerian tax and the Canadian tax on that income, if you keep the withholding receipt.
The gross fee. The withheld tax is part of your income that was paid to Nigeria on your behalf.
Your claim becomes hard to support, since the CRA expects the foreign tax slip as evidence. Write the receipt into the contract and chase it with the payment.
