Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Paid in naira by a Nigerian client? How to hold it, when to convert, how dollars reach your US account and which records keep the IRS and your bank happy.
Have the client pay into a Nigerian naira account in your own name, then decide whether to keep the naira for costs in Nigeria or convert it to dollars and move it to your US account. Either way, report the income in dollars at the rate when you were paid, keep the invoice, withholding tax receipt and conversion record together, and watch the $10,000 FBAR threshold on your Nigerian balances.
The cleanest start is a naira account in your own name, linked to your BVN. Payment to a relative's account creates questions later about whose income it was, and makes your records harder to match. If you do not have a Nigerian account, see opening a Nigerian account from the US; the mypryme.com guide on how to get paid in Nigeria covers the local payment side.
Expect the client to deduct Nigerian withholding tax first. For non-residents, PwC's summary of the 2024 regulations gives 10% on professional and consultancy fees, so ₦2,000,000 invoiced often arrives as ₦1,800,000 plus a receipt for ₦200,000.
If you have costs in Nigeria, family support, a property, school fees, a future trip, the cheapest conversion is the one you never make. Naira received and spent in naira avoids two exchange margins. Many US freelancers keep a naira float for home costs and convert only the surplus. The money is still income for US tax the day you receive it, whether it moves or not.
| Route | How it works | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Nigerian bank: convert and wire | Buy dollars through your bank into a domiciliary account, then wire to your US account | Bank's documentation requirements, the rate offered against the official rate, and wire charges on both sides |
| Multicurrency app | Convert naira to dollars inside one account, then pay out to your US bank | The rate shown against the mid-market rate, the fee line, and any payout charge |
| Leave it and pay home costs | Use the naira for Nigerian expenses and keep US earnings in dollars | Your naira float stays within what you need |
Every conversion has two costs: the fee you can see and the margin built into the rate. Compare the rate offered with the mid-market rate on the same day; see exchange rate margins explained. Use only licensed banks and providers; parallel-market dealers leave you with no record and no protection.
A client pays ₦1,800,000 after ₦200,000 WHT on a ₦2,000,000 invoice in May, when your chosen reference rate is ₦1,550 per dollar. US gross income: ₦2,000,000 / 1,550 = about $1,290. You keep ₦500,000 for your mother's allowance and convert ₦1,300,000 in July at an offered rate of ₦1,600, receiving $812.50 before charges. The July rate differs from May's; how the difference itself is treated is a question for your preparer. All rates are examples.
One file per payment keeps the IRS, your US bank and your future self satisfied:
The IRS says to use the exchange rate prevailing when you receive income, and publishes yearly average rates; pick a source and use it consistently. Your US bank may ask about large incoming transfers, and a file like this answers in minutes.
Nobody can tell you when the naira will be stronger or weaker, and waiting for a better rate is a currency bet, not a plan. Two habits reduce the risk without guessing. First, convert on a schedule, for example the surplus each month, so you average the rate over time. Second, keep the naira float sized to real costs at home for the next few months; anything above that is exposure you have chosen to hold. If you need dollars for a known bill, such as US quarterly estimated tax, convert ahead of it rather than at the last minute.
If the combined value of your foreign accounts exceeds $10,000 at any time in the calendar year, you file an FBAR (FinCEN Form 114) separately from your tax return, due 15 April with an automatic extension to 15 October. Form 8938 has higher thresholds, starting at $50,000 at year end or $75,000 at any time for a single filer living in the US (IRS comparison page, reviewed September 2026). A naira float built from client income can cross the FBAR line faster than people expect; see FBAR for Nigerian accounts.
A Pryme Business Account receives naira on local details and holds dollars alongside, so you can keep a naira float for home and convert the surplus with Swap when you choose; the app shows the rate and the fee before you approve. A verifiable statement documents each step. For the wider question of naira-paying clients, see getting paid in naira.
Convert through a licensed bank or provider and transfer the dollars, or keep the naira for costs in Nigeria. Compare the offered rate with the mid-market rate on the day.
Yes, for a US tax resident. The income counts when received, converted to dollars at the rate on that day, whether or not it leaves Nigeria.
File an FBAR if all your foreign accounts together exceed $10,000 at any time in the year; Form 8938 has higher thresholds.
Better not. Payment into an account in your own name keeps the income clearly yours and your records easy to match.
