Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Rent is only the start. Agency and agreement fees, furnishing, power tokens and water in Ado-Ekiti, with a labelled first-month budget.
Expect the first month in Ado-Ekiti to cost far more than the rent: a year's rent upfront, agency and agreement fees, a caution deposit, furnishing, electricity tokens and water. In our labelled example for one person in a mini flat, the total comes to ₦982,000, of which ₦400,000 is rent.
Moving to Ado-Ekiti, whether for a job, a posting, a business or a child's admission at a university in the city, usually means paying a year's rent before you sleep in the flat. That single payment is only part of the bill. In the same few weeks you pay the people who arranged the letting, the person who drafted the tenancy agreement, sometimes a refundable caution deposit, and then everything needed to make an empty room liveable: a bed, a cooker, fans, the first electricity units and a way to get water into the house.
This guide walks through each of those one-off costs, explains which ones are negotiable and which are set by a regulator, and ends with a labelled example budget so you can plan. Prices in Ado-Ekiti vary sharply by street and by landlord, so treat every naira figure below that is marked as an example as an illustration, not a quote.
Most landlords in Ado-Ekiti, as in much of south-west Nigeria, ask for rent a year in advance, and some ask for more. Our guide to rent in Ado-Ekiti by area sets out example ranges for a self-contained room, a mini flat and a two-bedroom flat. On top of the rent, expect some or all of these:
If you are employed, the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 gives a rent relief of 20% of the annual rent you pay, capped at ₦500,000, according to BusinessDay's January 2026 explainer. Keep the receipt and the agreement, because you may need them to claim it. Our rent relief guide explains how it works.
Electricity is the bill most newcomers underestimate. The NERC order for Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) that took effect on 1 July 2025 lists Band A customers, who are meant to get at least 20 hours of supply a day, at ₦209.50 per kWh, with a lifeline rate of ₦4 per kWh for customers using 50 kWh a month or less. Bands B to E were left at their December 2022 rates in that order. Ekiti is also one of the states that has taken over electricity regulation from NERC, according to a Mondaq summary of the Oyo transfer order, so the tariff that applies to your meter today may be set under state oversight. Check the band and rate printed on your token receipt or bill rather than relying on any figure here, including ours.
Before you pay rent, ask whether the flat has its own prepaid meter or shares one, and whether the previous occupant left unpaid bills. Our guide to buying BEDC tokens in Ado-Ekiti covers vending.
Residents commonly describe relying on a borehole in the compound, a well, or water bought from vendors rather than on a public mains connection. If the compound has a borehole, ask whether its pumping cost is part of the service charge. If not, budget for buying water in the first weeks. Our water guide sets out the options. Waste collection is usually paid to a collector licensed by the state; ask your landlord or neighbours who collects on your street and how they are paid.
Food is the last big item. National figures can help you sense-check prices: the National Bureau of Statistics reported that in April 2026 Ekiti had the highest average price in the country for a bottle of palm oil, at ₦2,819.09, as reported by ThisDay. Market prices change week to week, so use those figures as a guide only.
The table below is an example for a single person renting a mini flat. Every figure is illustrative, chosen to show how the costs stack up, and is not a price survey. Replace each line with the quotes you actually receive.
| Item (example figures) | Amount |
|---|---|
| Rent, one year in advance | ₦400,000 |
| Agency fee (example: 10% of rent) | ₦40,000 |
| Agreement fee (example: 5% of rent) | ₦20,000 |
| Caution deposit (refundable) | ₦50,000 |
| Bed and mattress | ₦150,000 |
| Gas cooker, cylinder and first refill | ₦95,000 |
| Standing fan | ₦35,000 |
| Pots, plates and kitchen basics | ₦40,000 |
| Curtains | ₦25,000 |
| Electricity tokens, first month | ₦20,000 |
| Water bought or pumped | ₦10,000 |
| Waste collection | ₦2,000 |
| Local transport | ₦15,000 |
| Food | ₦70,000 |
| Phone data | ₦10,000 |
| Total | ₦982,000 |
In this example, ₦510,000 goes on rent and letting costs, ₦345,000 on furnishing and ₦127,000 on the first month's running costs. At the ₦209.50 Band A rate in the July 2025 order, ₦20,000 of tokens would buy about 95 kWh before any charges, which is enough for lights, fans, a fridge and phone charging for many single people but not for heavy air-conditioning use. The ₦50,000 caution deposit should come back to you when you leave.
If you are saving towards the move, a Fixed or Flexible Savings Box keeps rent money apart from spending money; rates are shown in the app. When you pay the landlord, you can generate a verifiable receipt with VerifyDoc.ai, which the landlord or anyone else can check is genuine and unaltered, useful if a rent payment is ever disputed.
It depends mostly on the rent. In our labelled example for a mini flat, one person needs about ₦982,000 for the first month, of which ₦400,000 is the year's rent. Your figure will differ, so collect real quotes.
We could not find an Ekiti State rule that fixes agency or agreement fees, so they are negotiable. Agree the amount in writing before you pay.
The NERC order for BEDC effective 1 July 2025 put Band A at ₦209.50 per kWh. Ekiti now regulates its own electricity market, so check the current rate on your token receipt or bill.
Employees can claim rent relief of 20% of annual rent, capped at ₦500,000, under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025. Keep your receipts and confirm with your employer or the state tax office.
