Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Glo tariff plans compared: Yakata, Berekete and what Glo offers now

What Glo's current tariff pages show in October 2026, the Super Talk per-second rate, migration code and fee, and what happened to Yakata and Berekete.

The short answer

As at October 2026, Glo's tariff plans page lists three voice plans: Glo Welcome Bonus, Glo Super Talk and Glo Talkmasta 6 for 6. Super Talk charges 15.5 kobo a second (₦9.30 a minute) to all Nigerian networks, plus a ₦15 daily access fee (before VAT) on the first outgoing call, and you join with *301#. Yakata and Berekete, the names many people still search for, do not appear on Glo's current tariff page.

Glo has used many tariff names over the years, and old blog posts keep them alive long after a plan stops being offered. The fairest way to compare is to start from what Glo's own pages say today, state the date, and treat anything else as history. Everything below was checked on gloworld.com in October 2026.

What Glo lists today

Glo's voice tariff plans page names three plans: Glo Welcome Bonus, Glo Super Talk Plan and Glo Talkmasta 6 for 6. It also links to Glo Voice Bundle, Glo Simple Recharge and international calling packs, which are add-ons rather than tariff plans. A news headline on Glo's site dated 23 September 2025 announced the launch of Talkmasta and Welcome Bonus.

Only Super Talk had full published rates on the pages we opened. For Talkmasta and Welcome Bonus, open each plan page on gloworld.com or ask on the information line before you migrate.

Glo Super Talk in detail

ItemAs stated by Glo (Oct 2026)
Local calls, Glo and other networks15.5 kobo/sec (₦9.30/min)
Daily access fee₦15 excl. VAT, on the first outgoing call of the day only
If balance cannot cover the access feeLocal calls at 22 kobo/sec, unless you have a voice bundle
Pay-as-you-go data₦1.5 per MB
SMS, on-net and off-net₦6
Free minutes or dataNone
Migration code*301#
Migration feeFirst migration in a month free; later ones ₦100

Glo also says new lines do not get Super Talk by default, that features and promotions from your old package stop when you migrate, and that it is a tariff plan, not a promotion. Incoming calls do not trigger the access fee.

Worked example (illustration only)

Suppose you make three local calls in a day totalling 20 minutes. On Super Talk, 20 minutes × ₦9.30 = ₦186, plus the ₦15 access fee (before VAT), so about ₦201 before VAT on the fee. If you make one 2-minute call a day, it is ₦18.60 + ₦15 = ₦33.60: the access fee is almost half the cost. Super Talk suits people who make several calls a day; it is less attractive for someone who makes one short call.

If your balance is too low to cover the ₦15 fee, Glo charges 22 kobo a second, which is ₦13.20 a minute. Keeping a small airtime buffer avoids the higher rate.

Yakata, Berekete and other older names

Glo Yakata and Glo Berekete are still widely searched, and many third-party pages list rates and migration codes for them. Neither name appears on Glo's current tariff plans page. Glo does have a 'Berekete Smart' page, but when we opened it in October 2026 it listed plan names and links only, with no call rates or migration code. Because we could not find current rates for either plan on Glo's own site, we have not printed any here.

If you are still on an older plan, it may continue on your line even after Glo stops offering it to new joiners. To see which plan your line is on, use Glo's information line (124 is listed on the Super Talk page) or our guide to checking your Glo number and tariff plan.

Who each kind of plan suits

  • Several local calls a day to mixed networks: a flat per-second plan with a daily fee, such as Super Talk, because the fee is spread over many minutes.
  • Few calls, mostly data: the tariff matters less than the data bundle; pay-as-you-go data at ₦1.5 per MB (₦1,536 per GB at 1,024 MB) is far dearer than most bundles, so buy a bundle.
  • Heavy callers: compare the tariff with a voice bundle; Glo lists voice bundles separately.
  • Bonus seekers: read the Welcome Bonus and Talkmasta pages directly; bonus terms change and we could not confirm them.

What to check before you migrate

  1. Confirm your current plan and any bonus you would lose; Glo says old features stop on migration.
  2. Read the target plan's page on gloworld.com for today's rate and fee.
  3. Check whether you have already migrated this month: the second migration costs ₦100.
  4. Dial the migration code shown on the plan page (*301# for Super Talk) and keep the confirmation SMS.

Comparing with other networks

Per-second tariffs make cross-network comparison simple if you convert to a per-minute figure. Super Talk's 15.5 kobo a second is ₦9.30 a minute before the daily fee. For context, TechCabal reported in February 2025 that Airtel moved its calls to a flat 25 kobo a second, about ₦15 a minute. Plans and rates on every network change, so recheck both figures on the operators' own pages before you decide, and include any daily access fee in your sum.

Where Pryme fits

Whichever plan you choose, you can top up Glo airtime and data from the Pryme app (airtime and data). For ways to cut call and data spend, see airtime and data: how to stop wasting money and Glo USSD codes.

Questions people ask

What is the best Glo tariff plan for calls?

It depends on how often you call. As at October 2026, Super Talk charges 15.5 kobo a second to all networks plus a ₦15 daily access fee, which suits several calls a day.

What is the code to migrate to Glo Super Talk?

Glo lists *301#. The first migration in a month is free and later ones cost ₦100.

Is Glo Yakata still available?

Yakata does not appear on Glo's tariff plans page as checked in October 2026. Ask Glo on 124 whether your line can still join it.

How do I know my current Glo tariff plan?

Ask on Glo's information line, 124, or customer care. The plan name is also one of the ownership questions Glo uses for SIM replacement.
