Ten years, one trunk

The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.

2016E-commerce

2018OjirehPrime Card

2020Microfinance bank

2023Multicurrency

More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.

2026Agentic operations

Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.

Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Driver's licence in Osogbo: FRSC and VIO steps and fees

How to get or renew a driver's licence in Osogbo: FRSC fees as at October 2026, the VIO test, capture, collection and how long it takes.

The short answer

To get a driver's licence in Osogbo, apply on the FRSC portal, pay, take the driving test with the Osun State VIO, confirm payment with the state revenue service, then do biometric capture at an FRSC Driver's Licence Centre. FRSC lists ₦15,000 for a 3-year and ₦21,000 for a 5-year licence for most classes, and ₦7,000 or ₦11,000 for motorcycles, as checked in October 2026.

Who does what: FRSC, VIO and the revenue service

A Nigerian driver's licence is a joint product of three bodies, and knowing which one handles which step saves wasted trips in Osogbo. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) runs the national portal, takes your biometrics and produces the card. The state Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO) tests whether you can drive. The state revenue service confirms the payment. The FRSC portal at nigeriadriverslicence.org sets out the sequence, and applies the same way in Osun as in any other state.

Fees as published by FRSC

The FRSC licence portal's FAQ lists these fees for a new licence (as checked in October 2026). Each class is charged separately, and the FAQ notes that payment channels may add their own charges.

Licence class3 years5 years
Class A (motorcycle)₦7,000₦11,000
Other classes (including private car, Class B)₦15,000₦21,000

These match the increase Dataphyte reported in June 2025 from an FRSC statement, when the 3-year licence went from ₦10,000 to ₦15,000 and the 5-year from ₦15,000 to ₦21,000. The FAQ does not list a separate renewal fee, and we could not find Osun's VIO test fee or a learner's permit fee published online, so ask at the VIO office in Osogbo and get an official receipt. Fees change; check the portal before you pay.

Steps for a new licence in Osogbo

  1. Driving school. Fresh applicants need a certificate number from an accredited driving school, according to the FRSC FAQ. You must be 18 or older.
  2. Online application. Fill the form on the FRSC licence portal and choose the class and validity period.
  3. Payment. Pay online or at a bank and keep the receipt and the application ID.
  4. VIO driving test. Take the test with the Osun State Vehicle Inspection Office in Osogbo. Ask about any state test fee before the day.
  5. Revenue confirmation. Confirm the payment with the state revenue service, as the portal describes.
  6. Biometric capture. Visit an FRSC Driver's Licence Centre for photo and fingerprints. The portal lists capture centres by state and local government area under Contact, Capture Centre.
  7. Collection. Collect the card at the Driver's Licence Centre, motor licensing authority or VIO office, as advised when you are captured.

You can track progress on the portal with your application ID, or with your licence number and date of birth.

Renewal and replacement

  • Renewal can start from 30 days before expiry, according to the portal. Apply online, pay, and go for recapture if asked.
  • Lost or damaged licence: a reissue needs a police extract, an affidavit and the prescribed fee.
  • Commercial drivers need a medical certificate as well, per the FRSC FAQ. Fleet owners can read commercial driver's licence rules.

How long it takes, and avoiding touts

FRSC does not publish a fixed production time on the pages we checked. Many applicants receive a temporary licence at capture and the permanent card later; ask at the centre what applies and keep the temporary slip with you while driving.

Touts around licensing offices in many cities offer to skip the driving test or speed up the card for cash. A licence obtained without the test is a risk to you and others, and paying cash to an unofficial person leaves you without a valid receipt. Use the portal, pay through the listed channels, and ask the FRSC or VIO staff directly.

Common mistakes that cost Osogbo applicants time

The most frequent problems are avoidable. People pay for the wrong class, then find they must pay again for the class they actually need, because the FAQ says each class is charged separately. Others pay through an agent who keeps the receipt, so the applicant cannot prove payment at the capture centre. Some arrive at the VIO without the driving school certificate number. And a name spelt differently on the portal and on the NIN record can hold up capture. Spending ten minutes checking the form before you pay usually saves a second trip across town.

What to check first

  • Your NIN and personal details match exactly what you enter on the portal.
  • The driving school is accredited and gives you a certificate number.
  • You have the receipt and application ID before going to VIO or FRSC.
  • The class you pay for is the one you will drive.

Where Pryme fits

You can pay online fees from your Pryme account and keep a verifiable receipt of the payment, which helps if a centre cannot find your payment record. A Personal Assistant can remind you 30 days before your licence expires.

Questions people ask

How much is driver's licence in Osun State?

FRSC's portal lists ₦15,000 for 3 years and ₦21,000 for 5 years for most classes, and ₦7,000 or ₦11,000 for a motorcycle licence (October 2026). VIO and driving school costs are extra.

Where do I do my driver's licence capture in Osogbo?

At an FRSC Driver's Licence Centre. The portal lists capture centres by state and LGA under Contact, Capture Centre.

Can I renew my licence before it expires?

Yes. The FRSC portal says renewal can start 30 days before expiry.

Do I need a driving school certificate?

Fresh applicants need a certificate number from an accredited driving school, according to the FRSC FAQ.
