Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Missed a cooperative loan repayment? How savings offset works, why guarantors are pressed, and how disputes move through your state's cooperative process.
When you default on a cooperative society loan, the society usually first sets your own savings and shares against the balance, then turns to the fellow members who guaranteed you, as its bye-laws and your loan form allow. Disputes between a member and the society are handled under your state's cooperative law, which typically routes them to the state cooperative authority before any court.
Cooperative loans feel different from bank loans because the lender is your workplace or community society and the guarantors are colleagues you see every day. The rules are different too. Cooperatives are registered under state cooperative laws and run by their own bye-laws, not by the CBN rules that apply to banks.
A cooperative society is registered with the cooperative department of the state where it operates, usually headed by a Director or Registrar of Cooperatives under the state's cooperative law. It is not a bank: it does not appear on the CBN's lists of supervised institutions, which cover banks, microfinance banks, finance companies and similar bodies. If a "cooperative" lends to the public through an app, check whether it is on the FCCPC's approved digital lenders list, because a lender that is neither a registered society serving its members nor an approved lender is a warning sign.
Most cooperative loans are granted as a multiple of what you have saved, and the loan form or bye-laws usually let the society hold your savings and shares as security. On default, the committee can apply those savings to the loan. This is the cheapest outcome for everyone, because no one else is asked to pay.
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Loan balance outstanding | ₦600,000 |
| Your ordinary savings with the society | ₦250,000 |
| Your share capital (if bye-laws allow it to be applied) | ₦50,000 |
| Balance after set-off | ₦300,000 |
| Two guarantors, if the society splits the shortfall equally | ₦150,000 each |
In this example the society applies ₦300,000 of your money first, leaving ₦300,000. Whether it then splits that equally between guarantors, holds each guarantor's savings up to a limit, or pursues you first depends on the bye-laws and what each guarantor signed.
In a staff cooperative, guarantors are fellow members who signed your form, and the society can usually freeze part of their savings or stop them taking new loans until your balance is cleared. This is where most of the social pressure comes from. A guarantor who pays has a claim against you to be repaid, and our guide on what a guarantor must pay explains that right.
Staff cooperatives normally collect repayments by deduction from salary, under an authority you signed. If you leave the employer, the deduction stops, but the debt does not. Societies then look to your final entitlements where the bye-laws and your employer allow it, to your savings, and to your guarantors.
For a non-staff society, recovery is by demand letters, committee meetings and, if needed, the dispute process below. As with any lender, owing a cooperative is a civil matter; see whether you can go to jail over a loan.
State cooperative laws generally require disputes between a society and a member, or between members about the society's business, to go to the state cooperative authority for settlement or arbitration, rather than straight to court. The award can then be enforced. The exact steps, time limits and appeal routes differ by state, so ask your society secretary or the state cooperative department for the procedure that applies.
Cooperative committees usually have more room to agree a plan than a bank, because the members decide. A written proposal that shows your income, your other commitments and a monthly amount you can keep up is more likely to be accepted than a verbal promise. Ask for a reduced monthly deduction for a set period, a pause on default charges while you keep to the plan, or the release of a guarantor's savings once you have paid down a stated amount. Our repayment proposal letter template can be adapted for a society.
Ask for the outcome in writing, signed by the secretary or treasurer, and keep every receipt or payslip that shows a deduction.
If you are rebuilding savings after a cooperative loan, Pryme's Naira Savings Boxes, held with Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank, let you set money aside in a Flexible or Fixed Box, with rates shown in the app.
Usually yes, where the bye-laws or your loan form allow savings to be held as security. Ask for a statement showing how much was applied and the balance left.
They may be asked to, and the society may hold part of their savings. A guarantor who pays can recover the amount from you.
Most state cooperative laws send member disputes to the state cooperative authority for settlement or arbitration first. An award can then be enforced.
Salary deductions stop but the debt remains. The society may look to your final entitlements, savings and guarantors, so agree a repayment plan before you leave.

Most cooperative loans use a flat rate on the original amount and a limit tied to your savings. See what a 10% flat rate really costs in practice.
At an example 39% a year on a reducing balance, ₦100,000 over 12 months costs about ₦22,361 in interest plus fees. Here is the month-by-month view.
Interest, a processing fee and possible late charges make up the cost of a ₦50,000 app loan. Work out your total from the figures the app shows.
