Ten years, one trunk

The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.

2016E-commerce

2018OjirehPrime Card

2020Microfinance bank

PrymeSolid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.

2023Multicurrency

More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.

2026Agentic operations

Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.

Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

How to check your PVC status and where to collect it

Find out whether your Permanent Voter's Card is ready and where to pick it up, using INEC's status check, PVC Pickup tool and LGA offices.

The short answer

Check your status with the Check Voter Status tool on INEC's CVR portal (cvr.inecnigeria.org), then use the portal's Uncollected PVC and PVC Pickup options to see where your card is waiting. Cards are normally collected in person from the INEC office of the local government area where you registered, or at ward or polling unit points INEC announces for collection drives. Take your temporary voter's card slip and an ID.

Status first: are you registered?

A PVC can only be collected if your registration was completed and accepted. Start with Check Voter Status on the CVR portal, entering your state with your surname and date of birth, or your Voter Identification Number (VIN), as Techpoint Africa's guide describes. If you are not found, the card question does not arise yet; see checking your name on the register.

Where your card is

INEC's CVR portal lists an Uncollected PVC service "for previously registered voters who have not collected their Permanent Voter's Card", linked to pickup locations, and a PVC Pickup option in its menu. Techpoint describes a locator where you enter your state and local government area to see when and where to collect.

INEC LGA office
The usual place for uncollected cards. INEC's 2025-2026 CVR notice lists 811 INEC state and local government offices nationwide, open for registration on weekdays from 9am to 3pm.
Ward or polling unit points
INEC may announce collection at ward or registration area level for a set period. Watch for announcements from your state INEC office.
State INEC office
For enquiries, complaints and some collections; the CVR notice lists each state office's address and phone number.

Steps to collect

  1. Check your registration and note your VIN and polling unit.
  2. Use the PVC Pickup or Uncollected PVC option to find the collection point for your local government area.
  3. Go in person with your temporary voter's card (registration slip) and a means of ID such as your NIN slip (see BVN vs NIN).
  4. Officials look up your record and confirm your identity.
  5. Sign or thumbprint for the card and check every detail on it before you leave.

Plan to collect your own card rather than sending someone, and ask the office if you cannot attend. We found no collection fee on INEC's portal; if anyone asks you for money to "find" your card, ask for an official receipt and report it to the contact centre.

If the card is not there

  • Not yet printed: recent registrants may need to wait for production. Ask the officer when to check back.
  • Wrong office: cards go to the local government area where you registered, not where you now live.
  • Transferred record: a new card is issued to the new location after a transfer is approved; see transferring your PVC.
  • Card lost before collection: if records show it was collected but you never received it, raise it with the office and ask about the replacement process in lost PVC replacement.

Worked example

Example only. Halima registered at the INEC office in Kaduna South during the 2025-2026 CVR and received her temporary slip. In October 2026 she searches the portal, finds her record and checks PVC Pickup, which points her to the same local government office. She goes on a weekday morning with the slip and her NIN slip, confirms her details and collects the card.

Check the card before you leave

Errors are easier to raise at the counter than months later. Look at the card in good light and compare it with your ID and the portal record.

FieldWhat to compare
NameSame spelling and order as your registration and ID
Date of birth and genderAs registered
VINMatches the VIN shown on Check Voter Status
Polling unit and codeMatches the portal and the Polling Unit Locator
PhotographIs yours and is clear

If something is wrong, tell the officer at once and ask how to correct it. INEC's portal lists an Information Update service for registered voters who need to change details on their card, which is used during CVR windows.

Avoid the last-minute rush

Collection points are busiest in the weeks just before an election, when queues are long and offices may extend hours. If your card has been waiting since registration, collect it as soon as you can. It also leaves time to fix a wrong polling unit or a missing card before the register is finalised. Keep the card somewhere dry and flat, and photograph both sides for your records.

Contacts

  • INEC Citizens' Contact Centre: 0700-2255-4632.
  • Email: iccc@inec.gov.ng.
  • State office numbers are listed in INEC's CVR 2025-2026 notice (for example Lagos 08033159846 and FCT 08137832129).

INEC's portal also lists a Downloadable PVC service marked "coming soon", described as a pilot for eligible voters in Osun State. Until INEC extends it, the physical card is what you take to vote.

What to check first

  • Your registration is active on Check Voter Status.
  • You know which local government area you registered in.
  • You have your temporary slip and ID.
  • The collection office's opening days and hours.

Questions people ask

How do I know if my PVC is ready?

Check your registration on INEC's CVR portal, then use the Uncollected PVC or PVC Pickup option for your state and local government area to see where to collect.

Where can I collect my PVC?

Usually at the INEC office of the local government area where you registered, or at ward points INEC announces during collection drives.

Can someone collect my PVC for me?

Plan to collect your own card in person with your temporary slip and ID; ask your INEC office if you cannot attend.

Do I pay to collect my PVC?

We found no collection fee on INEC's portal. Report anyone demanding money to INEC on 0700-2255-4632.
