Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Putting both names on a Nigerian title does not split the tax if one spouse paid. How the CRA's attribution rules treat rent and gains on joint property.
Not necessarily 50/50. If one spouse supplies the money and the land or house in Nigeria is put in both names, the CRA's guide says the funding spouse may have to report income and capital gains from property (including money) loaned or transferred to a spouse or common-law partner. For joint investments, the CRA's general rule is that each owner reports a share based on how much they contributed. So rent and gains on a jointly titled Nigerian property usually follow the money, not the names on the deed.
Nigerian couples in Canada often put both names on a plot in Abuja or a house in Owerri, for good reasons: it protects the surviving spouse, reflects a shared plan and avoids family disputes later. Many assume it also splits the tax on rent or on the eventual sale. Canadian tax law looks past the title to who actually paid. This article explains the rules, how they apply to Nigerian property, and what records keep the position clear.
The CRA's General Income Tax and Benefit Guide for 2025 (5000-G) says you may have to report income, such as dividends or interest, from property you loaned or transferred to your spouse or common-law partner, or to a related minor. The property covered includes money and property that replaced it. The guide adds that you may also have to report the capital gains on that property, on line 12700 of your own return, and refers to the archived bulletin IT-511R, Interspousal and Certain Other Transfers and Loans of Property, for detail.
The CRA's line 12100 page puts the same idea more simply: special rules apply for income from property (including money) that one family member loans or transfers to another. It also sets the starting point for joint holdings: for a joint account or joint investment, each holder generally reports a share based on how much they contributed.
| Situation (examples) | Who likely reports rent and gains |
|---|---|
| Both spouses paid half from their own earnings, with records | Each reports half |
| Husband paid everything from his salary; deed in both names | Husband reports all, under the attribution rules |
| Wife paid 30%, husband 70%, both from own earnings | 30% and 70%, following contributions |
| Wife paid from money her own parents gave her | Wife reports her share; a gift from a third party is hers |
| Husband gave wife money which she used for 'her half' | Attribution can bring her half back to him |
The table applies the guide's principles to common cases; it is not a ruling. IT-511R discusses exceptions, such as certain transfers for fair value and certain loans on commercial terms. They have precise conditions, so take advice before relying on one.
Example: a couple in Calgary buy a three-flat block in Enugu, titled in both names. The husband pays the entire price from his income. The block produces net rent of $12,000 a year in Canadian terms. Splitting it $6,000 each on the T776 would follow the title, but under the attribution rules the husband is likely to report all $12,000. If he earns more than his wife, that costs more tax than an even split; it is also the position the CRA is likely to take on review.
Attribution turns on who paid, and Nigerian property purchases often leave a thin trail: cash to an agent, instalments from one spouse's naira account, a relative paying the balance. Before the CRA ever asks, record:
Gifts and inheritances received from family are generally not taxed in Canada, the CRA says, though income earned on them is; that is why the source of the money matters so much. A property bought mainly with cash brought from Nigeria raises its own documentation questions; see the paper trail for Nigerian property bought with cash.
Joint owners each report their share of the rental income and expenses on Form T776. Separately, the T1135 foreign property return looks at each person's own cost amount. The CRA's T1135 questions and answers say rental property and vacant land abroad are specified foreign property, and the filing threshold is more than $100,000 of total cost at any time in the year. A $150,000 property owned 50/50 puts $75,000 against each spouse's threshold. See Nigerian land and the T1135 and Lagos rental income on T776.
Attribution between spouses is tied to the relationship. What happens on separation, divorce, death or emigration is set out in the Income Tax Act and discussed in IT-511R, and it interacts with family law on dividing property. If your marriage is ending, also read Nigerian property in an Ontario divorce.
Clear payment records are what make attribution simple. Each spouse can hold a Pryme Personal account, send their own share to the vendor's account with the rate and fee shown before they approve, and keep verifiable receipts through VerifyDoc.ai showing who paid what. This is information, not tax advice.
Not automatically. If you supplied the money, the CRA's attribution rules can make you report the income and gains on her share.
Generally by how much each owner contributed, not by the names on the title.
A gift from her own family is generally hers, and the CRA says most gifts are not taxed. Keep evidence of the gift and its source.
Each spouse checks their own share of the cost against the $100,000 threshold. Rental property and vacant land abroad are specified foreign property.
