Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Much Ibeju-Lekki land has a history of government acquisition. Why excision and gazette status matter, and how to check from the US before you pay.
In Ibeju-Lekki the first question is whether the plot sits on land the Lagos State Government acquired, and if so whether that part was formally released back to the community (excised) and the release published in the official gazette. A seller cannot pass good title to land the government still holds: the Land Use Act vests land in the Governor, and the Lagos Property Protection Law makes selling government land without authority an offence. Have a Lagos lawyer chart the survey plan at the Surveyor-General's office and search the Land Registry before paying anything beyond a small booking fee.
Ibeju-Lekki is where many Nigerians in Houston, Atlanta and New Jersey first look when they want land in Lagos: plots are larger and cheaper than on the older Lekki corridor, and estate brochures arrive by WhatsApp every week. It is also where the words "excision" and "gazette" come up most, and where a buyer abroad is most likely to pay for land the seller had no right to sell. This guide explains what those words mean in practice and the checks a US-based buyer can run through a lawyer at home. It is information, not legal advice.
Section 1 of the Land Use Act vests all land in each state in the Governor, held in trust. Section 28 allows the Governor to revoke rights of occupancy for "overriding public interest", which includes the land being required by the state government. Where the state has acquired land for public purposes, that land is government land. A family or community that still occupies it does not own it in a way that can be sold, however long they have farmed it.
The usual route by which a community gets part of acquired land back is what Lagos practitioners call excision: the government releases a defined area to the community, and the release is published in the state's official gazette. The Lagos State Lands Bureau runs an "Acquisition and Excision Registry" among its offices, which tells you the state keeps a record of both. An excised area can then be sold by the community and titled; land outside the excised boundary remains under acquisition.
| What the seller says | What it usually means | What to ask for |
|---|---|---|
| "Gazette" or "excision" | The community says its land was released by the state | The gazette reference, the excision plan and a charting report showing your plot inside it |
| "Global C of O" | A Certificate of Occupancy over a whole estate or large parcel | A certified copy, the registry search result, and the developer's right to subdivide |
| "Governor's Consent" | An earlier sale was approved under section 22 of the Land Use Act | Registry search showing the consent and the chain of deeds |
| "Registered survey" | A survey plan exists | Charting by the Surveyor-General; a survey alone is not title |
| "Family receipt" only | Customary sale with no state record | Proof the land is free of acquisition before anything else |
The Lagos State Property Protection Law 2016, as summarised by LawPavilion, makes it an offence to offer land for sale without title (section 8(1)(a)) and to sell government land without authority (section 8). The same law created a task force on land grabbing, and the Lagos Ministry of Justice records sensitisation visits by the Special Taskforce on Land Grabbers in Epe and Ibeju in 2021. The law punishes the seller; it does not give the buyer the land. A buyer who pays for land under acquisition is left chasing the seller for a refund.
Example only. Tunde in Katy, Texas, is offered a 600 square metre plot in an Ibeju-Lekki estate for ₦18,000,000, with ₦500,000 to "secure" it. He pays the booking fee only. His lawyer charts the survey plan and finds the estate straddles an excised area: 40 of its plots are inside the published excision and the rest, including Tunde's, are not. He asks the developer for a plot inside the excised area, gets a fresh survey for it, and only then pays the balance against a signed contract of sale. Had he paid the full ₦18,000,000 up front, the dispute would have been about getting money back, not about which plot.
For the Lagos-wide checklist see buying land in Lagos from the US, and for the registry step itself the Lekki land title check. The Nigeria library covers verifying a C of O in Lagos step by step.
A Pryme Personal Account opened from the US holds dollars and naira in one place, so you can keep a land fund in naira and pay the seller's account directly once your lawyer clears the title. Swap shows the rate and the fee before you approve a conversion, and verifiable receipts made with VerifyDoc.ai give you a record of each payment that anyone can check is unaltered.
It is the release of part of government-acquired land back to the original community, recorded and published in the state gazette. Only land inside the excised boundary can be sold and titled by the community.
Gazette status helps only if your plot's coordinates fall inside the published excision. Your lawyer confirms this by charting the survey plan.
Instruct a Lagos lawyer to chart the survey plan at the Surveyor-General's office and search the Land Registry. Pay no more than a small booking fee before the results.
You have a claim against the seller, and Lagos law makes selling government land without authority an offence, but recovery is slow. Prevention through charting is far cheaper.
