Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

AI agents

How B2B service firms use an AI sales agent

B2B service sales run on long cycles, several buyers and detailed proposals. Where an AI sales agent helps, where it does not, and how to set limits.

The short answer

In a B2B service firm, an AI sales agent is most useful for keeping long, multi-person deals moving: logging every contact, drafting follow-ups and proposals from approved material, flagging stalled deals and producing a forecast that cites its sources. It should not price bespoke work, agree contract terms or decide which accounts to pursue.

Selling services to other businesses is slow. A cleaning contract, an IT support agreement or a training programme may involve a procurement contact, a budget holder and the people who will actually use the service. The deal can take months, and it is usually lost to drift rather than to a competitor. That is where an AI sales agent earns its keep.

What B2B service selling looks like

FeatureEffect on sales workAgent role
Several buyers per dealEasy to lose track of who said whatLog every contact against the deal with its source
Long cyclesDeals go quiet for weeksFlag silence past your normal gap and draft a nudge
Bespoke proposalsHours spent per proposalDraft from approved service descriptions and past wins
Procurement questionsRepeated security, insurance and policy questionsAnswer from your approved document set, cite the source
Recurring contractsRenewals arrive without warningTrack renewal dates and start the conversation early

Tasks to give the agent

  1. Deal records. Every email, call note and meeting attached to the right deal, with who was involved.
  2. Follow-ups. Drafts that refer to what was last discussed, not generic "checking in" notes.
  3. Proposal drafts. Built from service descriptions, rate cards and case material you have approved.
  4. Questionnaire answers. Supplier forms often repeat the same questions; the agent can answer from your policies and flag gaps.
  5. Forecast. A weighted view of the pipeline in which each number traces to a conversation.

Forecasting deserves its own note. Gartner reported in 2020 that fewer than half of sales leaders and sellers had high confidence in their organisation's forecasting accuracy. A forecast that cites the conversation behind every figure is easier to challenge and therefore easier to trust.

Decisions that stay with people

  • Pricing bespoke scopes, and any discount above the band you set.
  • Contract terms, liability caps, service levels and penalties.
  • Which prospects to pursue, and how much effort to put into a tender.
  • Commitments on staffing, start dates or delivery that operations have not accepted.

A worked example: a facilities services firm

Example only. A Manchester cleaning and facilities company with 40 staff sells contracts worth £20,000 to £80,000 a year. The managing director runs sales alongside operations.

  1. A property manager asks for a quote for three office buildings. The agent opens a deal, records the request and drafts a site-visit invitation.
  2. After the visit, the agent turns the MD's notes into a proposal draft using the standard service schedule and rates: an example annual price of £46,800.
  3. The prospect's procurement team sends a 60-question supplier form. The agent answers 52 from the firm's insurance, health and safety and data protection documents and lists eight it cannot source.
  4. The prospect asks for a 12% reduction. The firm's band is 5%, so the request goes to the MD with the deal history attached.
  5. The deal goes quiet for three weeks. The agent flags it, drafts a follow-up that references the revised price, and notes the contract renewal date of the prospect's current supplier.

Setting it up in the first month

  1. Week one: load approved service descriptions, rate cards and two or three past proposals you were proud of.
  2. Week two: let the agent log deals and draft follow-ups only, with every message approved by a person.
  3. Week three: add proposal drafts and supplier-form answers, and keep a list of what it got wrong.
  4. Week four: review that list, tighten the source documents, and decide which message types, if any, it may send without approval.

Most early errors come from missing or out-of-date source material rather than from the agent itself, so the review in week four is usually a review of your own documents.

Outreach rules for B2B

Many owners assume business contacts are fair game. The rules vary. In the UK, the ICO says you can email corporate subscribers without prior consent if you identify yourself and offer an opt-out, but sole traders and some partnerships are treated like individuals. In Canada, CASL applies to business-to-business messages too, with limited exceptions set out by the CRTC. Read the UK guide and the Canada guide before you let an agent send to new contacts.

Getting paid on what was sold

B2B services often run on 30-day terms or longer. Make sure the price, billing schedule and payment terms in the signed proposal flow into invoicing without retyping. In the UK, businesses can claim statutory interest and fixed compensation on late commercial payments, as GOV.UK explains. Chasing is usually best handled by finance; see AI for accounts receivable.

Where Pryme fits

Pryme Business includes a Sales agent that holds the pipeline stage by stage, drafts proposals and follow-ups citing the thread, keeps a register of what was promised to win each deal, and refuses to commit a delivery date no one has accepted. A Chief of Staff agent reads sales alongside finance, customer and compliance, and brings the owner only the decisions they must make.

Questions people ask

Can an AI agent answer procurement questionnaires?

It can draft answers from documents you have approved, such as your insurance certificates and policies, and cite the source for each. It should list questions it cannot source rather than guess. A person should sign off the final submission.

Will an AI sales agent replace business development staff?

In most service firms, no. It removes the administrative load so people spend more time on relationships, scoping and negotiation, which are the parts buyers judge you on.

How do I stop it promising things operations cannot deliver?

Give it a list of what it may commit to, such as standard start lead times, and require anything else to be accepted by the person responsible before it appears in a message.

Is B2B email outreach always allowed?

No. It depends on the country and on whether the contact is a company or an individual. Check the local rules first.
