You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

How AI agents help Canadian contractors and trades with T5018 slips, holdbacks, prompt payment timelines, quotes and invoices, and where a person decides.
For a Canadian trades or construction business, AI agents are most useful on the paperwork that follows the work: tracking subcontractor payments for T5018 reporting, recording holdbacks and their release dates, sending invoices that meet prompt payment rules, and chasing what is overdue. Pricing, safety, site decisions and disputes stay with the owner.
Electricians, plumbers, renovators, roofers and general contractors run businesses where the admin happens at night, after the site work. Construction also has its own reporting and payment rules in Canada. This article looks at where AI agents fit in a trades business, using federal rules and Ontario as an example of provincial law. It is general information, not legal or tax advice.
Businesses whose main activity is construction generally have to report payments made to subcontractors for construction services on T5018 slips, or a summary listing, filed with the CRA. The CRA's guidance explains that reporting is not required for a subcontractor paid less than C$500 in the reporting period. The work is simple and easy to forget: keep each subcontractor's name, business number or other identifier, address, and the total paid for construction services.
An agent can hold a subcontractor register from the first payment, total payments through the year, flag subcontractors missing a business number, separate construction services from goods-only purchases, and draft the slips for review before the filing deadline.
Provincial construction laws set rules on holdbacks and payment timelines. Ontario's Construction Act is one example. It requires a holdback, generally 10% of the value of the work, to be retained by each payer on the project, and it sets prompt payment timelines: broadly, an owner must pay a proper invoice within 28 days of receiving it unless it gives a notice of non-payment, and a contractor who is paid must then pay its subcontractors within set periods. Other provinces have their own rules, and several have introduced prompt payment laws of their own.
The rules reward good records. What an invoice must contain to count as proper, when it was given, when the holdback becomes due for release, and whether a notice of non-payment was received are all dates and documents. Agents are good at dates and documents.
| Item | What the agent tracks | Who decides |
|---|---|---|
| Proper invoice | Contents checklist, date delivered | Owner approves before sending |
| Payment clock | Days since delivery, due date | Owner chases or escalates |
| Notice of non-payment received | Date, amount disputed, reason | Owner, with legal advice |
| Holdback retained | Amount per project and release conditions | Owner releases or requests release |
| Subcontractor paid | Total for T5018, business number on file | Owner approves payments above limit |
Most margin disputes in trades come from change orders that were agreed on site and never written down. An agent can turn a voice note or text from the site into a draft change order, send it to the client for written approval, and add the approved amount to the next invoice. It should not price the change itself. Pricing depends on materials, access, risk and how much you want the job, and that is your call.
For invoicing, an agent can apply the right GST/HST rate for where the work is done. Work on real property is generally taxed at the rate of the province where the property is located, which is a point the CRA's place-of-supply rules cover. It can attach photos and sign-off records so the invoice is harder to dispute.
Late payment is a constant in construction. An agent can send reminders on a schedule you set, in your wording, and stop as soon as a dispute is raised. Reminders are polite and dated; disputes are human. For the general method, read AI for accounts receivable.
Example: a Hamilton renovation company of eight people runs four projects a month and uses five regular subcontractors. Its agent records each subcontractor payment, notices that one drywall subcontractor has no business number on file, and asks the office to collect it before the next payment. On a kitchen project worth C$80,000, it records the 10% holdback of C$8,000 retained by the homeowner and the expected release date, and reminds the owner a week before. When the homeowner disputes C$2,400 for a change to the cabinets, the agent finds the signed change order and the photos, puts them in front of the owner, and stops chasing that amount. The owner calls the client. In February the agent drafts the T5018 slips, the bookkeeper checks them, and the owner files.
Pryme Business includes invoicing and a Finance agent that releases payments only below your line and records each with its source. The Sales agent holds quotes, follow-ups and the promises made to win a job. Pryme accounts hold NGN, USD, GBP and EUR, not Canadian dollars, so they fit trades firms with cross-border work or suppliers rather than replacing a Canadian operating account. For startup set-up, see Canadian startup admin in the first 90 days.
Generally, businesses whose main source of income is construction must report payments to subcontractors for construction services. Payments under C$500 to a subcontractor in the period do not need to be reported.

It can track deadlines and draft documents, but notices with legal effect should be reviewed and sent by a person, with advice where needed.
It can assemble materials lists and past job costs. The price itself should be your decision.
