Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Agents will not replace your team, cannot run unsupervised and are not only for big firms. Eight common beliefs, tested against the evidence.
The most expensive myths about AI agents are that they can run without supervision, that they will replace whole teams, and that a better model removes the need for limits and records. In practice agents take over parts of jobs, need clear mandates and ceilings, and work only as well as the records and policies they are given.
Agents attract strong claims from both directions. Some say they will run a business alone; others say they are a passing fashion. Both views lead to bad decisions: overspending on promises, or ignoring tools that could save real time. Here are eight beliefs worth testing, with what the evidence and good practice suggest instead.
Agents can work overnight, but they should not decide everything. Anything that moves significant money, changes a customer's terms or touches regulated data needs a ceiling above which a person decides. The NIST AI Risk Management Framework treats human oversight as a core control, not an optional extra.
Better models read and reason better, but most business errors come from missing records, unclear policies or overly broad permissions. NIST's generative AI profile notes that models can produce confident but false content regardless. Limits, sources and checks matter as much as the model.
Most agents know your business only through the records and policies they can fetch. If your refund rules live in someone's head, the agent cannot follow them. Writing them down is part of the job.
The official data points to tasks, not roles. Statistics Canada found that among businesses using AI in the year to spring 2025, 89.4% reported no change in total employment, though most said AI had reduced some tasks previously done by employees. Expect hours to be freed and work to shift, and plan what your people will do with that time.
Tools alone do not settle worries. Acas research found that one in four workers worried AI would lead to job losses, and its guidance advises employers to consult staff, set clear policies and explain that human involvement will still be needed. See our guide on introducing AI agents to staff.
Adoption is growing but far from universal. The ONS reported that around three in ten UK businesses used at least one AI technology in September 2026, and Statistics Canada put the share of Canadian businesses using AI to produce goods or services at 12.2% in its 2025 survey. Agents that act on a business's behalf are a smaller subset still. There is time to adopt carefully.
Small firms often gain most, because the owner is the person doing the admin. A sole trader who spends five hours a week chasing invoices and filing receipts feels every hour saved. What matters is choosing well-limited agents for clear tasks, not company size.
Price says little about safety or fit. Ask how limits are enforced, what is recorded and how the agent was tested. The US Federal Trade Commission has warned businesses about exaggerated claims for AI products, and has taken action against schemes selling AI-powered income promises.
| Myth | What to do instead |
|---|---|
| Agents need no supervision | Set ceilings and review what reaches you |
| Better models fix everything | Improve records, policies and permissions |
| Agents replace people | Plan which tasks move and what staff do next |
| Everyone has them already | Pilot carefully on two or three tasks |
| Only big firms benefit | Start where the owner's own time goes |
| Price signals quality | Ask for evidence of testing and records |
Each myth overstates either the agent or the risk of waiting. The practical middle path is to hand over specific, well-defined tasks with clear limits, measure the results and widen the scope only when the record supports it. Our explainer on what AI agents cannot do sets out the limits in more detail.
A useful habit is to ask, of any claim you hear, what would have to be true for it to hold in your business. If a vendor says its agent resolves most customer queries, ask which queries, against which policies, and what happens to the rest. If a peer says agents saved them a day a week, ask what they handed over and how much checking it still needs. The answers usually turn a sweeping claim into a specific, testable one, and that is the version worth acting on.
Pryme Business comes with five agents that work inside mandates with ceilings: above the ceiling, the agent stops and a person decides, and every action is recorded with its source. The Chief of Staff brings the owner only the decisions they must make, with a morning brief. The agents are certified by Pryme Intelligence before they act. Read AI agents for business finance for the money side.
No, but claims often run ahead of results. Agents do useful work on well-defined tasks with clear records; they struggle with vague goals and missing information.
No. Owners still set direction, decide above the ceilings and carry legal responsibility. Agents take over repeated tasks.
Not usually, but you do need to write clear policies and limits, and to review what the agents send you.
No. Official figures show most businesses have not adopted agents that act for them. Starting carefully is better than starting fast.
