Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Turning euro income into a naira budget for a traditional wedding at home: the cost lines, when to convert, paying vendors, and tracking spending.
Set the budget in naira, line by line, then work out the euro you need at a cautious exchange rate and convert in stages as vendor deposits fall due rather than all at once. Pay vendors directly against written quotes, keep one spending sheet, and treat the bride price and customary items as their own line: Nigerian courts treat bride price as essential to a valid customary marriage unless it is waived.
Your income is in euros but almost every cost of a traditional wedding in Nigeria is in naira: the list from the bride's family, the venue, caterer, decorator, DJ or band, photographer, MC, attire, gifts and travel. Start by writing each line in naira with a quote or a best guess, then convert the total. Budgeting in euros and converting the whole sum on day one exposes you to the rate twice: once when you convert, and again if costs rise before the date.
| Line | Paid to | When |
|---|---|---|
| Bride price and the family list (drinks, fabrics, items) | Bride's family, via elders | On the day; items bought in the weeks before |
| Venue and canopies | Venue owner or rental firm | Deposit early, balance near the date |
| Catering and drinks | Caterer | Deposit, then balance in the final week |
| Decor, sound, MC, photography | Individual vendors | Deposit to book the date |
| Attire and aso ebi for the couple and close family | Tailors, fabric sellers | Months before |
| Travel and lodging | Airline, hotels, bus hire | Flights booked early; local transport near the date |
| Contingency | Your own reserve | Held, not spent |
In customary law, bride price is not optional decoration. A Mondaq review of the case law (July 2025) describes payment of bride price as indispensable for a valid customary marriage, with a marriage without it treated as void unless expressly waived for good reason, and notes that courts have accepted payment in kind. Amounts are set by the families and vary by community; some states, such as Anambra and Imo under the old Limitation of Dowry Law 1956, once set legal caps that are far below what families exchange today. Agree the figure and the list with your elders early so it can be budgeted, not negotiated on the morning.
If you also want the marriage recognised in Italy, the customary ceremony alone may not be enough. Any Nigerian certificate you later use in Italy must, according to the Embassy of Italy in Abuja, first be legalised by Nigeria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and come with an Italian translation, so budget for that step too. See our guides to marrying in Italy with a nulla osta and registering an Italian marriage in Nigeria.
A wedding budget is paid out over months: venue deposit, caterer deposit, fabrics, then balances. Converting as each payment falls due spreads your exchange-rate risk. Before you start, set a cautious planning rate, a little less favourable to you than today's mid-market rate, and size your euro savings to that. If the rate is better when you convert, the gap goes into contingency.
A couple budgets ₦9,000,000 in naira: venue ₦1,500,000, catering ₦3,000,000, decor and sound ₦1,200,000, photography ₦600,000, attire ₦1,000,000, bride price and list ₦1,000,000, contingency ₦700,000. Check: 1.5 + 3.0 + 1.2 + 0.6 + 1.0 + 1.0 + 0.7 = ₦9.0 million. They convert in four stages as deposits and balances fall due, and keep the ₦700,000 contingency in naira untouched until the week after the wedding.
From Italy, every transfer route has a fee, an exchange margin against the mid-market rate, a delivery time and limits. Compare them on the day; our guide to the FX margin on euro to naira transfers shows how to work out the real cost.
Weddings involve two families and many helpers. Keep one sheet: line, quote, paid so far, paid by, receipt, balance due. Share it with the one or two people at home who are coordinating. Gifts of cash at the event (spraying, envelopes) can be counted and recorded the same night by two people. For saving towards the date over many months, our Nigeria library has a guide on how to save for a wedding in Nigeria.
If friends from Italy are coming, decide early what you are paying for and what they cover themselves. Most couples pay for the event and leave flights, hotels and aso ebi to guests, but share a short note of costs and dates months ahead so nobody is surprised. If you are paying for parents' or elders' travel, put it in the budget as its own line rather than folding it into contingency.
A Pryme account opened from Italy holds euros and naira together. You can convert in stages with Swap, seeing the rate and the fee before you approve, then send to each vendor's Nigerian account. A naira Savings Box can hold the contingency, with deposits held by a licensed Nigerian microfinance bank.
There is no standard figure. Build a line-by-line naira budget from vendor quotes and the family list; catering and venue are usually the largest lines.
Case law reviewed by Mondaq (July 2025) treats bride price as indispensable for a valid customary marriage unless expressly waived. The amount is agreed between families.
Converting in stages, as payments fall due, spreads your exchange-rate risk. Plan with a cautious rate and keep any gain as contingency.
Get written quotes, pay each vendor's own account against the quote, and collect a receipt after every payment.
