What AI agents can do in bookkeeping, close, collections and compliance today, where a person must stay in charge, and how to judge a product.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

How the IRS 31-day and 183-day weighted count works, which days you can leave out, and why F-1 and J-1 students are usually exempt at first.
Under the IRS substantial presence test you are a US tax resident for a calendar year if you were physically in the US for at least 31 days that year and at least 183 days over three years, counting every day this year, one-third of last year's days and one-sixth of the year before (IRS Publication 519, 2025). Days as an exempt individual, such as an F-1 or J-1 student in your first five calendar years, do not count.
Many Nigerians arrive in the US on a work visa, a student visa or as a dependant and assume their tax status follows their immigration status. It does not. For income tax, a non-citizen is either a resident alien or a nonresident alien, and unless you hold a green card, the answer comes from a day-counting rule called the substantial presence test. Getting it right decides which return you file, whether your Nigerian income is reported in the US, and which deductions you can use.
IRS Publication 519 (the 2025 edition, used for 2025 returns) sets out two conditions. You meet the test for a year only if both are true:
Any part of a day counts as a day of presence unless one of the exclusions below applies. The test works on calendar years, January to December, not on the date your visa was issued.
Example only. Chidi, a software engineer on an H-1B visa, spent 120 days in the US in 2025, 150 days in 2024 and 90 days in 2023. Neither visit made him an exempt individual.
| Year | Days present | Multiplier | Days counted |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 120 | All | 120 |
| 2024 | 150 | One-third | 50 |
| 2023 | 90 | One-sixth | 15 |
| Total | 185 |
He has more than 31 days in 2025 and 185 weighted days, so he meets the test for 2025. Had he spent 110 days in 2025, the total would be 175 and he would not.
Publication 519 lists days you leave out of the count. The ones that most often matter for Nigerians are:
If you are in the US on an F, J, M or Q visa as a student, your days are generally not counted for the first five calendar years. Publication 519 says you stop being exempt if you have been exempt as a teacher, trainee or student for any part of more than five calendar years, unless you can show you do not intend to live in the US permanently and have substantially complied with your visa.
Note the words "any part". A student who lands in August 2022 has used up 2022 as one full calendar year. Counting 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026, that student's days begin to count from 2027 if they are still in the US on a student visa.
Teachers and trainees on J or Q visas have a tighter rule. They are not exempt for the year if they were exempt as a teacher, trainee or student for any part of two of the six preceding calendar years, with a narrow exception where a foreign employer paid all of their compensation.
The closer connection exception can keep you nonresident even after you meet the test. Publication 519 says it applies only if you were present on fewer than 183 days in the current year, kept a tax home in a foreign country for the whole year, and had a closer connection to that country than to the US. You claim it on Form 8840. It is not available if you applied for a green card, took other steps towards permanent residence, or had an adjustment-of-status application pending during the year. For most Nigerians on H-1B or L-1 visas who are working towards a green card, that last condition rules it out.
The IRS page on residency dates (updated March 2026) says that if you meet the substantial presence test, your residency usually starts on the first day you were present in the US that calendar year, not on 1 January. If you also meet the green card test, the earlier date applies. That is why the year you arrive is often a dual-status year, explained in our guide to the dual-status tax year.
Once you are a resident alien, you are taxed like a US citizen on worldwide income. Salary from a Nigerian employer, rent from a flat in Lekki and interest on a Nigerian fixed deposit all go on the US return; whether relief is available for Nigerian tax already paid is a separate question for a preparer. Our explainer on how Nigeria taxes income you earn in the US covers the other side.
Your tax status does not change how a Pryme account works, but it does change what you report. A Pryme account holds naira, dollars, pounds and euros in one place, so interest and transfers sit in one statement you can hand to a preparer. You can generate a verifiable statement through our partnership with VerifyDoc.ai (receipts and statements) and see how the account is set up on multicurrency accounts.
There is no single number. You become resident under the substantial presence test if you have at least 31 days this year and 183 weighted days over three years (all of this year, one-third of last year, one-sixth of the year before). Someone who spends about 121 days every year will reach 181 to 182 weighted days and stay just under.
Generally not for the first five calendar years, because F-1 students are exempt individuals. Any part of a year counts as a year, and you still file Form 8843 to exclude the days.
No. Visitor days count in full. Long and repeated visits to family can push you over 183 weighted days.
Not automatically. The two countries apply their own rules. Check Nigeria's rules separately and check whether any treaty applies before assuming one replaces the other.
