Ten years, one trunk

2018OjirehPrime Card

2023Multicurrency

Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Stanbic EZ Cash interest rate, limit and tenor explained

How to read the rate, fees, limit and tenor on a Stanbic IBTC EZ Cash offer, with a labelled example of total cost and what to confirm first.

The short answer

Stanbic IBTC shows the EZ Cash rate, any one-off fee, your limit and the repayment date on the offer screen before you accept; we could not confirm a current published EZ Cash rate on an official Stanbic page in October 2026, so do not rely on figures quoted by blogs. As a guide, a comparison site reported bank quick loans in Nigeria generally pricing at 1.5% to 3% a month as at April 2026, which is not a Stanbic-specific figure.

EZ Cash is Stanbic IBTC Bank's short-term digital loan for its own account holders, requested on a phone rather than at a branch. Searches for its interest rate return a wide spread of numbers, many years old. This guide is deliberately careful: it explains how the price of a bank quick loan is built, what an EZ Cash offer should tell you, and how to turn it into a naira total before you accept.

What we could and could not verify

For this article we looked for an official Stanbic IBTC page stating the current EZ Cash rate, fee, limit and tenor in October 2026. We did not find one we could cite, so this guide contains no Stanbic rate figure. That is a choice, not an oversight: a rate copied from a blog post written two years ago is worse than no figure, because it makes a loan look cheaper or dearer than it is.

  • Verified context: a NairaCompare review with data stated as at April 2026 put bank quick loans in Nigeria generally at 1.5% to 3% a month, and told readers to confirm with each bank. That range is market context, not Stanbic's price.
  • Not verified: the current EZ Cash rate, management or insurance fee, minimum and maximum amount, and the tenor options. The app or USSD offer screen shows all of these before you accept.
  • Regulator: Stanbic IBTC is a commercial bank supervised by the Central Bank of Nigeria. Bank loans do not appear on the FCCPC digital money lender list, which covers loan apps; we did not find Stanbic on that list when we read it in October 2026.

The parts of an EZ Cash price

Any bank quick loan, EZ Cash included, is priced from a small number of pieces. Find each one on the offer before you tap accept.

Interest rate
Usually quoted per month on short bank loans. Check whether it is charged on the reducing balance or flat on the full sum.
One-off fee
Some banks take a management or processing fee and a credit insurance fee, often as a percentage, deducted at disbursement or added to the loan.
Tenor
How many days or months you have. Shorter tenor means less interest in total but larger repayments.
Limit
The most you are offered, worked out from your account history with the bank and your credit bureau record.
Late charge
What is added if a repayment fails. Banks commonly state this as an extra percentage on the overdue amount.

Worked example: ₦200,000 over three months

These are example rates at either end of the market range reported for April 2026. They are not Stanbic's rates. The example assumes equal monthly repayments on the reducing balance and a 1% one-off fee for illustration.

Example rateMonthly repaymentInterestExample 1% feeTotal cost
2% a month₦69,350.93₦8,052.80₦2,000₦10,052.80
3% a month₦70,706.07₦12,118.22₦2,000₦14,118.22

One percentage point a month adds ₦4,065.42 on this loan. Over a 12-month loan the gap would be much wider. If the bank deducts the fee from the amount paid out, you would receive ₦198,000 but repay as if you had borrowed ₦200,000, which makes the true cost slightly higher than the headline rate suggests. Our guide to APR versus flat fees explains how to compare.

How your EZ Cash limit is decided

Banks size quick loans from the money that passes through your account with them: salary or regular business inflows, how long you have banked there, and whether you have repaid earlier loans. A credit bureau check is standard for Nigerian banks, so an unpaid loan app balance elsewhere can lower or block an offer. For background, read how credit bureaus work in Nigeria and how to grow a credit limit.

Repayment from your account

Short bank loans are normally repaid by the bank debiting your account on the due date. Nigerian banks also operate the CBN's Global Standing Instruction, which can let a lender recover an unpaid loan from other accounts linked to your BVN. Keep the repayment amount in the account the day before it is due. For repayment questions see EZ Cash repayment and customer care.

What to check first

  1. The rate, and whether it is per month or per year.
  2. Every fee in naira, and whether it is deducted from what you receive.
  3. The repayment date or dates and the total you will repay.
  4. The late charge.
  5. Whether you can repay early, and whether that reduces the interest.

Where Pryme fits

When the need is a specific purchase rather than cash, Loans on Spaces is an alternative: Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank lends and the money is spent only with Spaces merchants. A limit may be offered from how your account is run, and you accept the full agreement first. See Loans on Spaces.

Questions people ask

What is Stanbic EZ Cash interest rate?

We could not confirm a current official figure in Oct 2026. The EZ Cash offer screen shows your rate and fees before you accept. For context only, bank quick loans were reported at 1.5% to 3% a month as at April 2026.

How much can I borrow on Stanbic EZ Cash?

Your limit is set from your account history with Stanbic IBTC and your credit record. The app or USSD menu shows your current offer.

Does Stanbic EZ Cash charge a management fee?

Check the offer. Some bank quick loans take a one-off management or insurance fee; if one applies it should appear on the screen before you accept.

Is Stanbic EZ Cash on the FCCPC loan app list?

We did not find it on the FCCPC digital money lender list in Oct 2026. Stanbic IBTC is a bank supervised by the CBN rather than a stand-alone loan app.
