Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Base plus commission, tiers and targets worked through in naira, how to protect margin, and why commission goes through PAYE like salary.
Most Nigerian shops and sales teams use base pay plus a commission on sales or gross margin, paid monthly with salary. Commission is employment income and goes through PAYE together with the base pay, and the plan should be written down with the rate, what counts as a sale, when it is paid and what happens on returns or unpaid invoices.
The single most important decision is the base you calculate commission on. Three options are common:
| Commission base | Works well for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Sales value (revenue) | Shops with steady margins, easy to explain | Staff push discounts and low-margin lines |
| Gross margin (sales minus cost of goods) | Electronics, building materials, anything with variable margins | Staff need to trust your cost figures |
| Collected revenue | Business-to-business sales on credit | Longer wait before staff are paid |
If you sell on credit, paying commission only when the customer has paid protects cash. If discounting is common, a margin base stops staff giving away your profit to earn their commission. Our guide to setting a discount policy shows how quickly discounts eat margin.
Example only. A phone accessories shop pays each sales assistant a base of ₦90,000 a month plus 3% of the month's sales they record.
| Assistant | Monthly sales | Commission (3%) | Total gross pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ada | ₦2,500,000 | ₦75,000 | ₦165,000 |
| Musa | ₦1,200,000 | ₦36,000 | ₦126,000 |
| Tolu | ₦600,000 | ₦18,000 | ₦108,000 |
Check the business case: on ₦4,300,000 total sales, commission costs ₦129,000, or 3% of sales. If the shop's gross margin is 25%, commission takes 12% of gross profit (3 ÷ 25). That is the number to compare with what extra effort the plan produces.
Tiers reward the best performers without raising cost on ordinary sales. Example only: 2% on the first ₦1,000,000 of monthly sales and 4% on anything above. Ada's ₦2,500,000 would earn ₦20,000 + ₦60,000 = ₦80,000; Tolu's ₦600,000 would earn ₦12,000. Make each tier apply only to the sales within it, not retrospectively to all sales, or a single sale that crosses the threshold produces a jump that is hard to defend.
In a small shop where everyone serves everyone, individual commission can cause staff to fight over customers. A team pool, split equally or by hours worked, keeps service smooth. Many shops combine a small team pool with an individual element for big tickets.
Clawbacks are deductions from pay, so for staff covered by the Labour Act they must respect section 5: no fines, and total deductions in a month no more than one third of that month's wages. A clawback that wipes out a whole month's pay is not lawful for a covered worker.
Commission is employment income. TechCabal's April 2026 guide to the Lagos tax regime lists commissions alongside salary, wages, allowances and bonuses as taxable employment income, and DLA Piper's August 2026 summary confirms that bonuses form part of the PAYE base under the 2025 tax laws. In practice, add each month's commission to the base, apply PAYE to the total for that month and remit it to the state IRS by the 10th of the following month. Because commission varies, PAYE does too; staff should not be surprised by a bigger deduction in a strong month. See the 2026 PAYE bands.
A commission plan works only if staff believe the numbers. Three habits make that happen. First, show each person their running total during the month, from the till or sales records, rather than revealing it on payday. Second, pay on the date the plan states, every month; a late commission payment does more damage to trust than a lower rate. Third, keep the records that produced each figure: the sales report by staff code, returns deducted and the final calculation. If an assistant disputes a figure, you can show the working.
If you set targets, keep them reachable. A target that only one person ever hits stops motivating the rest within a quarter. Review the plan every six months against two numbers: total commission as a share of gross profit, and whether sales per assistant actually rose. If commission cost rose but sales did not, the plan is paying for sales you would have made anyway, and it is time to change the base or the tiers with notice to staff.
Commission can be added as its own line in Pryme payroll, so each assistant sees base and commission separately. The Sales agent can keep track of sales by staff member and the Finance agent can prepare the monthly commission figures; a person checks and approves before anything is paid. Salon owners may prefer the models in paying salon staff.
Multiply the agreed rate by the agreed base (sales, margin or collected revenue) for the period, then add it to base pay. Example: 3% of ₦2,500,000 is ₦75,000.
Yes. Commission is employment income and goes through PAYE with salary.
It depends on your margin. Work out what share of gross profit the commission takes; at 3% of sales and a 25% margin, it takes 12%.
Yes, if the plan says so, but for covered workers total deductions in a month cannot exceed one third of wages.
