Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Liability, set-up cost, contributions, tax and paperwork compared for a Nigerian starting a first business in Spain, with a worked example.
An autónomo is cheaper and quicker to start and is usually the better first step for a small, low-risk business, but you are personally liable for its debts. An SL (sociedad limitada) costs more to set up and run, needs a notary and annual accounts, and separates the business's debts from your own. The choice usually turns on risk, expected profit and whether you will bring in partners or investors.
Most Nigerians who start a business in Spain face the same first choice: register as self-employed, or form a company. Both are common and both are legitimate. This guide compares them on the points that matter for a first business, and explains when switching later makes sense. Tax points are information, not advice; a gestor or tax adviser can model your own numbers.
| Point | Autónomo | SL |
|---|---|---|
| Who is the business | You, as an individual working on your own account | A separate company with its own NIF |
| Liability for debts | Personal: your own assets can be reached | Limited to the company's assets, unless you personally guarantee |
| Set-up | Register with the Agencia Tributaria and the Seguridad Social | Name certificate, notary deed, Registro Mercantil, company NIF |
| Profits taxed under | Personal income tax (IRPF), on the business profit | Corporate income tax on company profit; IRPF on salary or dividends you take out |
| Social security | Self-employed scheme, contributions based on net earnings | Directors who control the company are usually in the self-employed scheme too |
| Ongoing paperwork | Quarterly tax returns, books of income and expenses | Quarterly returns, annual accounts filed at the Registro Mercantil, corporate tax return |
| Bringing in partners | Not possible without forming a company | Shares can be issued or sold |
The Estatuto del trabajo autónomo defines the self-employed as people who carry out an economic activity "de forma habitual, personal, directa, por cuenta propia" (regularly, personally, directly and on their own account) outside anyone else's direction (Ley 20/2007, article 1.1). Because there is no separate entity, unpaid business debts are your debts. An SL is a separate legal person. Its creditors are, as a rule, limited to the company's assets, though banks and landlords often ask a director to guarantee loans or leases personally, which brings personal liability back for those debts.
Since 2023 the self-employed pay Seguridad Social contributions on a scale linked to their net earnings, under the system introduced by Real Decreto-ley 13/2022. New autónomos may pay a reduced flat contribution at the start: the same decree set it at 80 euros a month for 2023 to 2025, and leaves the amount from 2026 to each year's budget law. Check the current figure with the Seguridad Social; see how the cuota is calculated and who qualifies for the tarifa plana.
An SL adds costs an autónomo does not have: notary and registry fees at set-up, a deposit of share capital, and usually a gestor or accountant for the annual accounts and corporate tax return. Ask a notary for a quotation and confirm the current minimum share capital with them. Those costs are why many founders start as autónomos and form an SL once the business is established.
An autónomo's profit is added to their other income and taxed under IRPF at progressive rates, so the tax rate rises with profit. An SL pays corporate tax on its profit, and you then pay IRPF only on what you take out as salary or dividends. Once profits are high, and especially if you want to leave profit in the business, the SL can work out cheaper; at low profits, its fixed running costs usually outweigh any saving. The current rates should come from the Agencia Tributaria for the year you are in.
Example: Ada runs a catering business and expects 18,000 euros of profit in her first year. As an autónomo she pays her contributions and IRPF on that profit, with no notary, registry or annual-accounts costs. If she formed an SL, she would add set-up costs and an accountant's fee every year, while her profit is too low for any corporate tax difference to cover them. At 18,000 euros the autónomo route is the simpler and probably cheaper one. If her profit later rises well beyond what she needs to live on, she should ask a gestor to model both forms with that year's rates.
Whichever form you choose, if the business buys from or sells to Nigeria, a Pryme Business Account holds NGN and EUR with local details for each, and invoicing lets you bill Nigerian clients from the same place. Outside Nigeria, Pryme's activities are carried out through regulated partners.
For a small first business, autónomo is usually simpler and cheaper. An SL suits higher profits, higher risk, partners or investors. Model both with a gestor once profit grows.
Directors who control the company are usually registered in the self-employed scheme. Ask the Seguridad Social or a gestor how the rule applies to your shareholding.
Yes. Many founders start as autónomos and transfer the business to a new SL once it grows.
Eligibility depends on the current rules for the reduced contribution. Check with the Seguridad Social before you rely on it.
