Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

How VTU airtime and data resale works, the commissions platforms publish, a worked month of earnings, start-up cost and who buys.
A VTU business resells airtime and data from a funded wallet on a bill-payment platform, earning a small commission or discount on each sale. Published margins are thin: VTpass, for example, listed 3% on MTN airtime and 2% on MTN data for terminal agents as at July 2025, so ₦350,000 of monthly sales might earn about ₦10,000 before costs.
VTU stands for virtual top-up: airtime or data sent electronically to a phone number, with no scratch card. A VTU business sits between a customer who wants a top-up and a platform that is connected to the networks. You fund a wallet on the platform, the customer pays you, you send the airtime or bundle from your wallet, and the platform pays you a commission or charges you slightly less than face value. The margin is the difference.
There are three common set-ups:
Margins in VTU are thin and vary by network, product and agent type. Few platforms publish them. One that does is VTpass, whose earning page (last modified 30 July 2025) lists these commissions, among others:
| Product | Terminal agent | API agent |
|---|---|---|
| MTN airtime | 3.00% | 3.00% |
| Airtel airtime | 3.50% | 3.40% |
| Glo airtime | 5.00% | 4.00% |
| 9mobile (now T2) airtime | 3.50% | 4.00% |
| MTN data | 2.00% | 3.00% |
| Airtel data | 3.50% | 3.40% |
| Glo data | 2.50% | 4.00% |
| DStv and GOtv | 1.50% | 1.50% |
| Ikeja Electric tokens | 1.50% | 1.00% |
These are one platform's published rates as at July 2025, not an industry standard, and they can change. Other platforms price data as a discount off network prices rather than a percentage, and some advertise data bundles cheaper than the network's own list price; whether that holds for any particular bundle is something to test with a small order. Read the current commission or price list on whichever platform you use before you fund a wallet.
Example only, using the VTpass terminal-agent rates above. Suppose you sell ₦150,000 of MTN airtime, ₦100,000 of Airtel airtime and ₦100,000 of MTN data in a month to students and neighbours, all at face value.
| Line | Sales | Rate | Commission |
|---|---|---|---|
| MTN airtime | ₦150,000 | 3.00% | ₦4,500 |
| Airtel airtime | ₦100,000 | 3.50% | ₦3,500 |
| MTN data | ₦100,000 | 2.00% | ₦2,000 |
| Total | ₦350,000 | ₦10,000 |
₦10,000 a month on ₦350,000 of turnover is the reality of VTU: it is volume work. Your own data, transfer charges to fund the wallet and the occasional failed transaction come out of that ₦10,000. Most people who make VTU worthwhile either add it to a footfall business they already run (a shop, a POS stand, a hostel), or reach enough customers to sell data at a markup over cost. Our companion piece on data reseller profit margins looks at the data side in more detail.
For an agent on an existing platform, the start-up cost is mostly float: the money you keep in the wallet to serve customers. Labelled examples of what people budget:
Float is not spent; it cycles. The real cost is the money tied up, plus the risk of a platform failing while holding your balance. Keep the float only as large as a few days of sales.
Customers buy VTU from a person rather than their own bank app for a few reasons: they have no data to open the app, they want a cheaper data bundle than the network's list price, they want someone to sort a failed top-up, or they pay cash. That points to the real markets:
For comparison, MTN's own data plans page (as listed in October 2026) shows bundles such as 1GB with 1.5 minutes at ₦500 for a day and 1GB at ₦800 for a week, and says bundles can also be bought through TopIt and VTU channels. If your price for the same bundle is no better and your service is no faster, customers have little reason to come to you.
A Pryme account lets you buy airtime and data for your own lines in the app; it is not a VTU reseller platform. Keeping your float and sales in a separate account makes the monthly review easier, and our guide to airtime and data spending helps on the personal side.
On VTpass's published terminal-agent rates as at July 2025, ₦1,000 of MTN airtime earns ₦30 and ₦1,000 of Glo airtime earns ₦50. Other platforms differ, so check the current list.
It can be, but margins are a few per cent, so profit depends on volume. It works best added to an existing customer flow such as a shop, POS stand or hostel.
An agent account on an existing platform needs little beyond a phone and a float, which you choose. A reseller website adds a package, domain and hosting cost that vendors price differently.
Some platforms offer data below the network's list price, but this varies by bundle and changes. Test with a small purchase and compare with MTN's own plans page.
