Ten years, one trunk

The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.

2016E-commerce

An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.

2018OjirehPrime Card

A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.

2020Microfinance bank

PrymeSolid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.

2023Multicurrency

More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.

2026Agentic operations

Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.

Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Banking how-tos

Risevest customer care and complaint route

How to reach Risevest support, write a complaint that gets resolved, and escalate to the SEC and FCCPC if it does not, with a template.

The short answer

Start with Risevest's support channel in the app or on its website, giving your registered email, the transaction reference and what you want done, and ask for a ticket number. If it is not resolved, escalate in writing to Risevest, then to the SEC, which licensed its subsidiary RV Fund Management in 2026, and to the FCCPC through complaints.fccpc.gov.ng, contact@fccpc.gov.ng or 0805 600 2020 and 0805 600 3030.

Most problems with an investment app are fixed at the first contact, if that contact is clear. The rest need a paper trail. This guide sets out how to reach Risevest (Rise), how to write a complaint that a support agent can act on, and where to go next. We could not confirm Risevest's support email or phone number from its public website when we checked in October 2026, so use the channel shown inside your app or on risevest.com rather than a number posted by a stranger.

First contact: the right channel

  • Inside the app: the support or help option in your profile is tied to your account, so the agent can see your records.
  • On the website: risevest.com is the official website; use only the contact route shown there or in the app.
  • Avoid numbers and WhatsApp accounts shared in comments or groups. Impersonators target investment app users. Real support staff never ask for your password, PIN or one-time code.

What to include

  1. Your registered name, email and phone number.
  2. The plan or wallet affected, with the amount and date.
  3. The transaction reference and a screenshot.
  4. What happened, in two or three sentences.
  5. What you want: a refund, a completed withdrawal, a correction or an explanation.
  6. A request for a ticket number and an expected response time.

A template you can adapt

"My registered email is [email]. On [date] I requested a withdrawal of $[amount] from my wallet (reference [ref]). It shows as [status] and has not reached my bank account ending [last 4 digits]. Please complete or reverse it and confirm in writing, with a ticket number."

When the first answer is not enough

Reply on the same ticket rather than opening a new one, so the history stays together. If a week passes with no useful answer, write again, marked as a formal complaint, and ask how Risevest's complaints process works and when you will get a final response. Keep copies of everything.

Escalating outside Risevest

The SEC

TechCabal reported in February 2026 that RV Fund Management Limited, a Risevest subsidiary, holds a Fund and Portfolio Manager licence from the Securities and Exchange Commission. As the licensing regulator for capital market operators, the SEC is the body to approach about an unresolved investment complaint. Use the contact details on the SEC's own website, and attach your correspondence with Risevest.

The FCCPC

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission handles consumer complaints. Its site lists the complaints portal at complaints.fccpc.gov.ng, email contact@fccpc.gov.ng and phone lines 0805 600 2020 and 0805 600 3030, as at October 2026.

StageWhoWhat to send
1Risevest supportDetails, reference, screenshot, what you want
2Risevest formal complaintTicket number, timeline, request for final response
3SECSummary, Risevest correspondence, account details
4FCCPCComplaint via portal or email with the same file

Protecting yourself while you wait

Fraudsters watch for people who post complaints publicly, then reach out pretending to be support. While a ticket is open:

  • Keep the conversation inside the app or the official email thread.
  • Do not install screen-sharing or remote-access apps at anyone's request.
  • Never share your password, PIN or one-time codes; a real agent does not need them.
  • Change your password if you think anyone else has seen it.
  • Do not pay a fee to someone who offers to speed up a withdrawal.

Keep a complaint file

A simple folder on your phone or computer makes escalation faster. Put in it your screenshots, the ticket number, each email with its date, and a short timeline: what you did, when Risevest replied and what they said. Regulators work from documents, and a clear file lets them act without asking you to start again. If the issue involves a large sum or you suffer a loss, consider taking independent legal advice; this article is information, not advice.

How long to wait before escalating

There is no single rule for when to go to a regulator. A fair approach is to give support a few working days for a first answer, follow up once on the same ticket, and then send a formal complaint asking for a final response. If that final response does not come, or does not deal with the problem, escalate with your full file. Going to a regulator first, without having raised the issue with Risevest, usually leads to being sent back to the firm.

Common issues and what to ask for

Withdrawal delayed

Deposit not showing
Confirmation that it was received and the rate applied. See funding your wallet.
Unexpected charge

Account locked
What is needed to restore access, and confirmation that no transactions took place.

If your concern is about whether the platform itself is sound, read is Risevest safe before deciding whether to stay, and saving in dollars in Nigeria for the wider choices.

Questions people ask

What is Risevest customer care number?

We could not confirm a published phone number on Risevest's public website in October 2026. Use the support option in the app or the contact route on risevest.com, and ignore numbers posted by strangers.

How do I complain about Risevest?

Contact support with your reference and ask for a ticket number. If unresolved, make a formal complaint in writing, then escalate to the SEC and the FCCPC.

Can I report Risevest to SEC?

Yes. Its subsidiary RV Fund Management Limited holds an SEC Fund and Portfolio Manager licence, so the SEC is the regulator for unresolved investment complaints.

How do I contact FCCPC?

Through complaints.fccpc.gov.ng, contact@fccpc.gov.ng, or 0805 600 2020 and 0805 600 3030, as listed on the FCCPC site in October 2026.
