You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

No card, no OTP, nothing for the buyer to type in. They transfer from the bank app they already use, and the money lands in the same account your agents are running — already matched to the order, already in your books.
We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Which countries send money to Nigeria? The corridor picture from UN migrant data and World Bank inflows, with what the numbers can and cannot tell you.
The main remittance corridors to Nigeria follow where Nigerian-born people live: the United States (about 565,000 in 2024) and the United Kingdom (about 324,000) are the two largest, followed by Niger, Cameroon, Italy and Canada, according to UN DESA migrant stock data. Total remittances received were US$22.79 billion in 2025 (World Bank). Official corridor-by-corridor dollar values are estimates, so treat any single ranking with care.
Remittances flow along migration routes. The best official measure of those routes is the UN's count of people born in Nigeria (or with Nigerian citizenship, where countries count that way) living in each country. The table below ranks the top 15 destinations in mid-2024.
| Rank | Country of residence | Nigerian migrants, mid-2024 | Mid-2015 | Change 2015–2024 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | United States | 565,053 | 324,227 | +74% |
| 2 | United Kingdom | 324,007 | 236,603 | +37% |
| 3 | Niger | 199,722 | 93,179 | +114% |
| 4 | Cameroon | 188,266 | 131,616 | +43% |
| 5 | Italy | 112,792 | 56,208 | +101% |
| 6 | Canada | 112,065 | 48,115 | +133% |
| 7 | Benin | 92,433 | 80,960 | +14% |
| 8 | Ghana | 90,111 | 70,214 | +28% |
| 9 | Côte d'Ivoire | 60,926 | 51,476 | +18% |
| 10 | Sudan | 35,645 | 14,828 | +140% |
| 11 | Spain | 33,772 | 31,616 | +7% |
| 12 | Togo | 32,503 | 31,974 | +2% |
| 13 | South Africa | 26,707 | 33,525 | −20% |
| 14 | Gabon | 25,938 | 21,840 | +19% |
| 15 | Ireland | 22,078 | 16,995 | +30% |
Nigeria's total inflow is measured well: US$22.79 billion in 2025 in the World Bank series. Splitting that total by sending country is harder. The World Bank's bilateral remittance estimates are modelled from migrant numbers, incomes in the host country and incomes in Nigeria, not counted transaction by transaction. That is why we show the migrant base directly, and why any published corridor dollar figure should be read as an estimate.
| Region of residence | Nigerian migrants, mid-2024 | Share of total |
|---|---|---|
| Europe and Northern America | 1,213,644 | 58% |
| Sub-Saharan Africa | 762,430 | 36% |
| Northern Africa and Western Asia | 84,172 | 4% |
| Australia and New Zealand | 19,524 | 1% |
| Eastern and South-Eastern Asia | 8,854 | 0.4% |
| Latin America and the Caribbean | 4,921 | 0.2% |
| World total | 2,094,265 | 100% |
The full list of countries, including smaller ones such as the UAE, Australia, Türkiye and Sweden, is on our page on Nigerians abroad by country.
Beyond the top 15, several corridors are small in headcount but often discussed because of their earning power or fast growth. All figures are UN DESA mid-2024 counts of Nigerian migrants.
| Country | Nigerian migrants, mid-2024 | Mid-2015 |
|---|---|---|
| Australia | 19,524 | 8,412 |
| Türkiye | 16,375 | 3,224 |
| United Arab Emirates | 14,690 | 12,353 |
| Sweden | 9,397 | 4,516 |
| Austria | 8,525 | 7,814 |
| Belgium | 8,134 | 5,633 |
| Kuwait | 5,147 | 4,045 |
| China | 4,915 | 2,426 |
| Qatar | 4,351 | 5,042 |
Türkiye's count rose about fivefold in nine years, and Australia's more than doubled. Gulf corridors (UAE, Kuwait, Qatar) are steadier. Where a corridor is small, published dollar estimates for it carry wide margins.
A practical reading for anyone tracking the money: the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Italy together host about 1.11 million Nigerian migrants, a little over half the total, and all four are high-income economies. Changes in those four corridors are likely to move the national remittance total more than any other group.
Migrant numbers come from the UN DESA International Migrant Stock 2024 destination-and-origin table (both sexes, mid-year), downloaded in October 2026; we kept rows where Nigeria is the origin and the destination is a country. Total inflows come from the World Bank Indicators API. Percentages are our calculations. Gaps: the World Bank's bilateral remittance matrix and CBN corridor payout data could not be retrieved for this update, so we do not publish corridor dollar values. Migrant stock counts people born abroad (or foreign citizens, depending on the host country's data), so second-generation diaspora are not included.
Whatever the corridor, a Pryme account opened from any country holds NGN, USD, GBP and EUR with local account details for each, so senders in the US, UK or Europe can pay into the matching currency. See multicurrency accounts and how to receive money from abroad.
Official corridor values are estimates, but the US has the largest Nigerian-born population (about 565,000 in 2024) and the UK the second largest (about 324,000), so these are the two largest corridors.
UN DESA counts about 324,000 Nigerian migrants in the UK in mid-2024, up from about 237,000 in 2015.
Yes. About 762,000 Nigerian migrants live elsewhere in sub-Saharan Africa, mainly Niger, Cameroon, Benin and Ghana, though much of this flow is smaller and harder to measure.
The World Bank publishes modelled bilateral estimates; the total inflow is in its remittances series. Treat corridor splits as estimates.
