Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Three ways to let someone else operate your Nigerian bank account: a mandate change, a third-party authority or a power of attorney, and what banks check.
In Nigeria you can let someone operate your bank account in three main ways: add them as a signatory by changing the account mandate, give the bank a limited written authority for specific transactions, or grant a formal power of attorney that the bank reviews and accepts. The bank decides whether to act on a power of attorney, and any authority to operate the account stops when the bank is notified of the account holder's death.
People look for a power of attorney when they are travelling for a long time, living abroad, unwell or caring for an elderly parent. The phrase gets used loosely. At a Nigerian bank there are several different tools, and choosing the right one saves weeks of back and forth with the branch.
| Option | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Mandate change (add a signatory) | The other person signs on the account in their own right, under the rules you set on the mandate card | Long-term shared management, such as a spouse or business partner |
| Third-party authority letter | A signed instruction letting a named person do one thing, such as collect a cheque book or a statement | One-off tasks |
| Power of attorney (POA) | A formal document appointing an attorney to act for you within the powers it lists | When you cannot be present for months, or are abroad |
The mandate is the instruction that tells the bank who can sign and how, for example "either to sign" or "both to sign". Adding a signatory usually means a mandate change form, the new signatory's own KYC documents (valid ID, BVN, passport photo, proof of address), and your signature. The new person becomes a signatory, not just an agent, so think carefully about how much control you are giving.
For a business account, mandate changes typically need a board resolution as well. Access Bank's published corporate account requirements, for example, list a board resolution, IDs and BVNs of signatories, and a power of attorney "where applicable", which shows that banks expect POAs in some situations and will ask for them.
For small, specific tasks, many banks accept a signed letter naming the person, their ID and the exact task. It is quick, but the bank will compare your signature with the one on your mandate and will usually want to see the agent's ID. It does not let the person withdraw large sums or move money at will.
If the power of attorney also deals with land or property, it may need further registration under the relevant state's land law; that is a separate process from the bank's acceptance.
A power of attorney can be revoked by you in writing; send the revocation to the bank and get an acknowledgement. Death also matters. TEMPLARS' November 2025 review of Nigerian case law notes that once a bank is notified of a customer's death it stops withdrawals, and only the legal representatives of the estate can deal with the account from then on. An attorney's authority does not survive to run the estate; see deceased account steps.
The CBN Consumer Protection Regulations require banks to respond to enquiries within 5 working days (section 3.2.6) and to give equal access to eligible customers without regard to factors including physical ability and age (section 3.1.2). If a bank sits on your request, raise a written complaint and ask for a tracking number, which must be issued with acknowledgement within 24 hours (sections 6.2.2 and 6.3.2). Our guide to complaining to a bank or the CBN covers escalation.
Sometimes you do not need to hand over account control at all. A relative can pay bills from their own account and be reimbursed, or you can set up standing orders before you travel. For elderly parents, our guide to setting up a parent's phone against scams covers protections that keep them in control. Never share your PIN, password or authenticator codes in place of a proper mandate: that gives someone full access with none of the legal record.
Pryme Personal Accounts can be opened and run from any country, which can reduce the need for someone else to operate your account while you are away. See how Pryme works.
Yes, if the bank accepts the power of attorney. It reviews the document, checks your signature and the attorney's ID and BVN, and acts only within the powers the document lists.
The usual route is a mandate change adding them as a signatory, or a joint account. A power of attorney is better suited to a temporary arrangement while you are away.
No. Once the bank is notified of death it stops withdrawals, and only the estate's legal representatives can deal with the account.
Usually, but banks commonly want it notarised where you sign and sometimes authenticated at a Nigerian mission. Confirm the exact form with your bank before you sign.
