Ten years, one trunk

The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.

2016E-commerce

2018OjirehPrime Card

2020Microfinance bank

2023Multicurrency

More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.

2026Agentic operations

Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.

Questions

The things people ask us first.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.

Can I hold dollars, pounds and euros in a Pryme account?

Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.

What is Spaces?

Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.

What do the agents on a Pryme Business Account do?

Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.

How does Pryme Pay work?

Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.

What are Savings Boxes?

Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.

Who holds my money, and is it protected?

Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Can I build on Pryme?

Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What is Pryme?

Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives you one account that holds US dollars, pounds sterling and euros beside Naira, with an assistant that runs the account for you and asks before anything moves. Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, and further markets open as each licence lands.

Can I open a Pryme account from outside Nigeria?

Accounts are provided in Nigeria today, subject to verification and approval. Foreign-currency balances are held and converted inside that account, so you can hold, receive and swap dollars, pounds and euros wherever you are.

Which currencies can I hold with Pryme?

Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros, side by side on one ledger. Each has its own details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area — and each has its own statement.

How do I send money to Nigeria with Pryme?

Swap at a rate you set rather than the rate of the day, then send to any Pryme username or to a Nigerian bank account. There is no fee to send to another Pryme account.

What does the assistant do?

Eva is the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals, pays what is due and follows up what is owed to you — and asks you before anything moves.

What is Pryme Rails?

Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

Italy

How much does a permesso di soggiorno renewal cost?

Every fee in the postal kit: the contributo by permit length, the €30.46 card, the €16 marca da bollo and the €30 Poste charge, with totals.

The short answer

Through the postal kit, a renewal usually costs €116.46 for a permit of over three months and up to one year, €126.46 for one of over one year, and €176.46 for an EU long-term permit. Each total is the bollettino (€30.46 for the electronic card plus a €40, €50 or €100 contributo) plus a €16 marca da bollo and €30 paid to Poste. Minors and permit updates or conversions pay no contributo.

The four parts of the cost

Poste Italiane's guide to issuing and renewing permits, and a breakdown published by Money.it on 5 October 2026, set out the same structure:

Electronic permit card
€30.46, paid on the bollettino
Contributo
€40, €50 or €100 depending on permit length and type, added to the same bollettino; none for some categories
Marca da bollo
€16, bought at a tabaccheria or other authorised seller and stuck on the form
Poste service charge
€30, paid at the counter when you hand in the kit

Poste's guide says you pay the card fee and any contributo together on a single bollettino di conto corrente per applicant, available at every post office. It does not list the contributo amounts itself; it refers readers to PortaleImmigrazione.it.

The contributo by permit type

PermitContributoBollettino totalWith bollo and Poste charge
Over 3 months, up to 1 year€40.00€70.46€116.46
Over 1 year€50.00€80.46€126.46
EU long-term permit; executives and highly skilled workers€100.00€130.46€176.46
Minors under 18None€30.46Check bollo with Poste
Duplicate, update or conversion of a current permitNone€30.46Check bollo with Poste

Money.it cites a decree of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of 5 May 2017 (Gazzetta Ufficiale no. 131, 8 June 2017) for these amounts, with exemptions under a 2011 decree as amended. It describes the middle band as over one year and up to two years; the Cestim guide for Verona describes it as up to three years. The amount is the same either way.

Who pays no contributo

  • children under 18;
  • duplicates, updates and conversions of a permit still in force;
  • entry for medical treatment and accompanying persons;
  • applicants for asylum, subsidiary protection or humanitarian reasons;
  • family members of EU citizens holding a carta di soggiorno.

Holders of international protection applying for the EU long-term permit are also exempt from the contributo, under an Interior Ministry circular of January 2015, but still pay for the card.

A worked example

Example: Emeka renews his two-year work permit and his wife's two-year family permit. Each adult needs a separate bollettino: €80.46 each, or €160.92. Each kit also needs its own €16 marca da bollo (€32) and the €30 Poste charge (€60). The household total is €252.92. Their daughter, aged 9, is on a separate permit with no contributo; her bollettino is €30.46.

Steps and timing

  1. File early: the Cestim guide says to apply at least 60 days before expiry and no later than 60 days after.
  2. Pick up the kit with the yellow band at a post office (only one per person) and fill it in. See how to fill in the kit postale.
  3. Buy the marca da bollo; read what the marca da bollo is.
  4. Pay the bollettino and keep the receipt.
  5. Book an appointment on poste.it or the Poste app, and hand in the kit in an open envelope with your passport, photocopies of its data and visa pages, your expiring permit and the documents for your permit type.
  6. Keep the ricevuta: it has the login for PortaleImmigrazione.it, and you attach it to your expiring permit until the new card is ready.

Poste's toll-free line, 800.200.309, answers Monday to Saturday, 8:00 to 20:00, except public holidays. After your fingerprint appointment at the Questura, you follow progress on poliziadistato.it. Proof of income is often the hardest document; see proof of income for a permit renewal.

Common mistakes that cost money

  • Paying one bollettino for two people: Poste's guide says one bollettino per applicant.
  • Putting the wrong contributo on the slip, for example €40 for a permit that will be issued for two years. Check the length you are applying for, not the length of the old card.
  • Buying the marca da bollo after you queue: buy it first, because it has to be stuck on the form before you hand the kit in.
  • Losing the ricevuta. It holds your tracking login and is your proof of a regular stay while you wait.

Costs that are not in the kit

Budget for extras: photocopies, passport photos, and and any fee a patronato or CAF charges to check the kit; ask before you book. Poste asks for a valid passport or equivalent document at the counter, so if your Nigerian passport is close to expiry, deal with it first; see renewing a Nigerian passport in Italy.

Questions people ask

How much is the permesso di soggiorno renewal in 2026?

Through the postal kit, about €116.46 (up to one year), €126.46 (over one year) or €176.46 (EU long-term), including bollo and Poste charge.

What is the €30.46 payment for?

It is the cost of the electronic permit card, paid on the bollettino with any contributo.

Do children pay the contributo?

No. Minors under 18 pay only the €30.46 card fee on the bollettino.

Is the €30 Poste charge separate?

Yes. It is paid at the counter when you hand in the kit, apart from the bollettino and the €16 marca da bollo.
