Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She opens accounts, moves money, saves toward your goals and follows up. Nothing leaves your account without your approval.
Meet Eva, the assistant inside the Pryme app. She holds dollars, pounds, euros and Naira side by side, swaps at a locked rate, pays bills in any of them and sends anywhere, asking before anything moves.

We give you a limit to spend at the shops and services you already use — and an account that works on your month while you get on with it. Dollars, pounds and euros sit beside your Naira, and an assistant handles the running of it, asking you first every single time.
One global account for your money and business. Move across currencies, automate everyday operations and put AI agents to work — with you in control of every important decision.

BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

What a Nigerian contractor's invoice should show, what a UK company must keep and for how long, and how VAT and the exchange rate fit into the record.
Before paying a Nigerian contractor, get an invoice that names both parties, describes the work and period, and states the amount, currency and payment details, then keep it with the payment confirmation. HMRC requires a UK company to keep records of all money spent, including invoices and contracts, for six years from the end of the financial year they relate to, and can fine £3,000 for not keeping them.
GOV.UK's guidance on company and accounting records (updated 29 January 2025) says a limited company must keep records of all money it spends and receives, giving receipts, orders, invoices and contracts as examples, along with bank statements and correspondence. Records are kept for six years from the end of the last company financial year they relate to, longer in some cases (for example where a transaction covers more than one accounting period or HMRC has opened a compliance check). HMRC can fine £3,000, or a director can be disqualified, for not keeping accounting records.
Paying through an app does not change any of that. The app's payment confirmation proves money left your account; the invoice and contract prove what it was for.
| Item | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Contractor's full legal name and address (or business name) | Shows who was paid, and matches the account name |
| Your company's legal name and address | Ties the cost to your company, not to you personally |
| Unique invoice number and date | Stops duplicates and fixes the date for your records |
| Description of the work and the period covered | Supports the cost as a business expense |
| Amount and currency | The figure you will pay, in the currency agreed |
| Payment details | The account the contractor wants paid, in their own name |
| VAT position | Whether Nigerian VAT is charged and why (see below) |
| Contract or purchase order reference | Links the invoice to the agreed scope and rate |
Ask for the same layout every month. A contractor who changes their bank details on an invoice should confirm the change by another channel before you pay; payment diversion fraud often starts with a doctored invoice, as covered in invoice fraud and email compromise.
Under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025, exported services are zero-rated (PwC Worldwide Tax Summaries, reviewed 29 May 2026). A contractor in Lagos supplying work to your UK company should therefore not normally be adding 7.5% Nigerian VAT. Separately, small businesses with turnover of ₦100 million or less and fixed assets of ₦250 million or less are exempt from VAT registration and charging, though professional service providers are excluded from that exemption (Forvis Mazars, 16 March 2026). If an invoice does include Nigerian VAT, ask why before paying it.
If your company is VAT-registered and the contractor's service is a general-rule business-to-business service, HMRC's VAT Notice 741A (sections 5.1, 5.2 and 5.6) says you account for VAT yourself under the reverse charge: output tax in box 1, the same amount as input tax in box 4 if you can recover it, and the net value in boxes 6 and 7. If you are not registered, section 5.7 says the value of such services counts towards the registration threshold. More detail is in the UK reverse charge on Nigerian services.
Plenty of contractors are individuals who have never issued an invoice. That is fine, but do not accept a WhatsApp message as the record. Send them a simple template with the fields in the table above, and ask for a PDF each month. Check that the name on the invoice matches the name on the receiving account; a mismatch is the most common reason a payment is held or queried. If they ask you to pay a relative's account, decline politely and ask for an account in their own name, because your record then shows a payment to someone you have no contract with. For a larger team, the same template feeds paying many contractors at once.
If the invoice is in naira or dollars and your books are in pounds, record the amount in the invoice currency, the sterling amount that left your account and the rate used. Keep the app's confirmation showing all three. When the rate on the invoice date and the rate on the payment date differ, your accountant will treat the difference as an exchange gain or loss; the method is covered in FX gains and losses.
Pryme partners with VerifyDoc.ai so any customer can generate a regular or a verifiable receipt or statement, and anyone can check that a verifiable one is genuine and unaltered, which is useful when an auditor or a contractor asks for proof of payment. In a Pryme Business Account, the Finance agent can match invoices to payments and flag gaps, and payments wait for a person's approval above the ceiling you set.
There is no single rule that forces the contractor to, but your company needs records of what it paid and why, so make an invoice a condition of payment in the contract.
GOV.UK says six years from the end of the last financial year they relate to, longer in some cases, such as when HMRC opens a compliance check.
Exported services are zero-rated under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025, per PwC's summary, so a Lagos contractor serving a UK company should not normally add 7.5% VAT. Ask if one does.
It proves the payment but not what it was for. Keep the invoice and contract with it.
