BruceCareYour competitor down the road sells the same thing you sell. The difference is who walks in. We put money in people’s hands that can only be spent in businesses like yours — and then we point them at you.
You are not borrowing. You are selling to somebody who already has the money — and that money can only be spent with a business like yours.

We give the buyer a one-time account number. They transfer to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in.

Resolved 4 conversations — two deliveries, one refund. The business has changed shape four times and never changed what it was rooted in. Each version was built out of what the last one could not do.
An online grocery store, built out of a faulty tab. Selling the food was the easy part — taking the money for it, and moving it, turned out to be the business.
A prepaid card. The first time the company issued rather than resold, and the first time it carried the obligations that come with holding somebody else’s money.
Solid Allianze acquired — an existing bank with an existing licence. The perimeter stopped being someone else’s to draw.
More than one currency on one balance, and the rebrand to Pryme. A Nigerian business could hold dollars without holding a second institution.
Accounts that do the work rather than only hold value. Five agents on the account, inside a policy you write — which is where the new mark starts.
Pryme is a financial technology company. It gives people and businesses in Nigeria one account that holds Naira alongside dollars, pounds and euros, and a set of agents that do the running of it — keeping the books, chasing what is owed, answering customers and paying bills. Nothing leaves an account without the owner’s approval.
Yes. A Pryme account holds Naira, US dollars, pounds sterling and euros side by side on one ledger, each with its own account details — a Nigerian account number, a US account number, a UK sort code and an IBAN for the euro area. You can swap between them at a rate you set, and every currency has its own statement.
Spaces is available in Nigeria. It gives a shopper money to spend that can only be spent with a participating business. The business is paid into its Naira account whether or not the shopper repays, because Pryme carries the credit. For the business it is free to join, there is nothing monthly, and the customer’s identity is never shown — only a reference and what it is worth.
Five agents come with the account. The Chief of Staff runs the week and keeps what is stuck moving. Finance watches the money and keeps the books as you trade. Compliance keeps the filings on time and screens what moves. Sales chases what you are owed. Customer Support answers your customers and follows up. Each has a job description, a budget and a ceiling you set, and each one proposes rather than acts — nothing leaves the account without your signature.
Pryme Pay takes payments on your own site or on a checkout page you control. The buyer is given a one-time account number and transfers to it from any bank app or by USSD — no card, no OTP, nothing to type in. The money lands in the same account your agents are running, already matched to the order and already in your books.
Savings Boxes are separate pots inside a Pryme account, held in Naira. Flexible Boxes can be withdrawn at any time, Fixed Boxes hold to a date, Investment Boxes hold for longer, and Interest-free Boxes earn nothing by design. A business can use them to ring-fence payroll and the tax it withholds, so that money cannot be spent by accident.
Pryme is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and deposits are provided by Solid Allianze Microfinance Bank Limited, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Yes. Pryme Rails lets a platform issue a dedicated Naira account number to each of its own customers, collect into it and reconcile against it, over one API — the same rails the Pryme Business Account runs on.

The usual in-app steps for a fixed deposit or locked savings plan in Nigeria, and the five details to check before you tap confirm.
Most Nigerian banking apps let you open a fixed deposit or locked savings plan from a Savings, Investments or Goals menu: choose the product, enter the amount, pick a tenor or end date, choose the funding account and confirm with your PIN. Before confirming, check the rate, the maturity date, what happens at maturity, when interest is paid and what breaking it early costs.
Placing a fixed deposit used to mean a branch visit and a form. Today most banks and many fintech apps let you do it in a few minutes. The screens differ by app, and the product may be called a fixed deposit, a fixed goal, locked savings or a term deposit. This guide covers the common flow and, more importantly, what to read before you confirm.
As one example, Wema's ALAT describes setting up a goal under Goals: create a new goal, give it a name, choose a type such as Fixed Goal, enter the amount and target date, set a start date and frequency and pick the source account. ALAT's page does not publish minimums or rates, so they appear only in the app. See our walkthrough of opening a fixed deposit on ALAT.
Confirm whether the rate is per year and whether the interest figure shown is before or after withholding tax. Kuda's help centre, for example, says 10% WHT is deducted from accrued interest on its plans, so the amount you receive is less than the gross figure. Our guide to how fixed deposit interest is calculated lets you check the app's numbers.
Check the exact date, not just the number of days. If you need the money for rent or fees on a specific day, the maturity date should fall a few days before it. A deposit that matures on a weekend or public holiday may pay out on the next working day.
Apps usually offer to pay out to your account, roll over the principal, or roll over principal and interest. Rollover is normally at the rate on the rollover date, which may be lower. If you are not sure you will want to continue, choose payout. See fixed deposit rollover.
Most app products pay at maturity. A few pay monthly or upfront. The timing changes your cash flow and, with upfront payment, sometimes the amount; see upfront vs at maturity.
This is the term people most often skip. Rules differ widely. Kuda's help centre says breaking a Fixed Savings plan early means you lose the accrued interest and receive only your principal, that you cannot withdraw in the first 24 hours, and that its Locked Savings cannot be broken at all before maturity. Other apps may charge a fee or pay a reduced rate. If the app does not show the rule on the summary screen, find it in the product terms before confirming.
Occasionally a deposit is debited from your account but does not appear under your savings, or it appears with the wrong tenor. Do not create a second deposit to fix it. Take screenshots of the confirmation and the debit, then contact the bank through its in-app chat, email or contact centre and ask for the deposit to be corrected or the money reversed. Note the date and a reference for every contact. If the bank does not resolve a complaint, the CBN's consumer protection route is the next step; our guide to bank refunds explains how escalation works.
If you set the wrong maturity instruction, for example rollover when you wanted payout, change it in the app or ask the bank before the maturity date. Once a deposit has rolled over, undoing it may count as breaking a new deposit, with the early exit terms that apply.
Only use the bank's or fintech's official app. Confirm the product is a deposit with a licensed bank, not an investment you cannot easily trace. NDIC deposit insurance covers eligible deposits up to ₦5,000,000 per depositor at a deposit money bank and ₦2,000,000 at a microfinance bank, according to the NDIC's FAQ. Our guide to which savings apps are NDIC insured explains how to check who holds your money.
In the Pryme app, a Fixed Box locks naira until a date you choose, with the rate shown before you confirm; an Investment Box is held to maturity and funds Solid Allianze MFB's lending. Transactions are confirmed with your PIN, and sign-in security uses an authenticator app rather than SMS codes. See Savings Boxes and security.
Open the savings, investments or goals section, choose the fixed or locked product, enter the amount and tenor, select the funding account, review the summary and confirm with your PIN.
Depending on the product. Some let you break it and lose interest; Kuda says its Locked Savings cannot be broken at all. Check the terms before confirming.
It varies by app. Withholding tax is deducted from deposit interest, so check whether the figure is gross or net.
Each product sets its own minimum, and many banks show it only in the app. The app will reject amounts below it.
